Guilty Feelings
Not A Passing FancySang Ki’s POV:
It was a weekend and Miyeon was on vacation with her family. So I was at home. And out of nowhere, Sun Ah wanted to hang out as it had been a long time since we both spent some time with each other.
Since I always had a soft corner for her and also had the guilty feeling of making her feel lonely after I started dating, I agreed to take her out. At first, our father was about to drop us by the city center but later, we both took the public transport instead.
Once we got there, she wanted to do a little shopping and I let her drag me around. Seeing her be so hyper and cheerful, made me realize how lonely she must have felt all these days.
I mean she’s not the type who gets along with people easily, especially after she started having serious feelings for Ricky hyung and even more after she found out about her birth. She had me and then her only best friend.
And now I’m dating that only best friend she had. Isn’t it like losing two person at the same time? Anyway, after dragging me from shop-to-shop, and having something to eat, we both finally decided to watch a movie.
And as we were walking towards the cinema hall, I was continuously teasing her with silly things and at one point, I even pretended like I was heading back home.
In return she blackmailed me that she would call Ricky hyung and since I knew she wouldn’t do it, I asked her to go on with it. As she didn’t get the desired reaction from me, she then said that she would give out her phone number to some random guy on the street.
But still I remained unfazed as I knew she can’t speak with a stranger on her own. She literally can’t. So I ignored her and continued to walk away. Never in my wildest dream did I know that she would actually do it.
I stopped in my track a few minutes later as she had been too quiet which was so unlike her. And when I turned around to check on her, I saw her embracing a guy a few feet away and from the looks of it, they didn’t seem like they each other.
She let go of the guy a few seconds later and started running in my direction, smiling happily like she has accomplished something big while that guy stood in his spot for a few second, slightly blushing, before he started to walk away.
And when I asked her about the guy, she said that he was a friend she just made. As I was scolding her for exchanging phone numbers with some guy she just met, we came to a crossroad.
When we were almost on the other side of the crossing, she suddenly turned around and started running after a guy while shouting, “Ricky oppa!”
“Sun Ah-ya!” I tried stopping her by grabbing her wrist but I was a little too late as she has already took off in the other direction.
I looked at the signal and tensed up seeing the pedestrian signal has already turned red. Sun Ah was still in the middle of the road and she definitely wasn’t paying any attention to the signal. I was afraid that she might get into an accident.
I noticed a car speeding off in her direction and I was way too far from her to run and pull her away. As it would injure Sun Ah if I used my power to push her away, I decided to use it to stop the car instead and right when the car came to a halt a few feet away from her, everything out.
It was hard for me to open my eyes and an excruciating pain shot through my body while I heard people gather around me, sounding worried.
Sun Ah’s POV:
I was too busy running after Ricky that when a car came to a rough halt a few feet away from me, I jumped two steps to my left in shock. Then I heard a loud crash on the other side of the road and when I looked back, I saw people gathering around the scene.
I looked to the front and saw Ricky seeing in my direction looking surprised while I smiled at him widely. “What are you doing here alone?” Ricky asked as he walked up to me. Then I remembered my brother and looked around for him but he was nowhere in sight.
“I actually came out with Sang Ki. He must be somewhere here.”
I slowly walked back in the direction of the crowd, hoping to find him there. I pushed through the crowd while looking at everyone who had similar physique. Just when I was nearing the clearing in the center, I heard approaching ambulance in the far distance.
And that was when I saw Sang Ki, in the middle of the road lying in a pool of blood. “Oppa?” my heart stopped beating for a moment. “OPPA! Sang Ki oppa! Yah Lee Sang Ki! Open your eyes.”
My whole body was shaking fearing the worst and tears flowed d
