Chapter 39

CLOSER [HIATUS]

“Sorry, we didn’t find a phone when cleaning up yesterday.” The same woman from the front desk at the elders home said with an apologetic smile. She remembers Won Woo and she also remembered Mingyu from yesterday when he visited with Jeonghan. So she quickly recalled cleaning up the room and there was no phone left behind, otherwise it would have been in the lost and found box under the front desk, it was currently empty because nothing ever got lost in this elder home.

Mingyu suddenly felt like panicking, he never lost his phone before, and even if he did it was under his blanket the whole time he would flip his shared apartment upside down. But this time he checked under his blanket, even if it was impossible that it would have been under there. Won Woo thanked the woman before leading Mingyu out of the building and back to the car by the hand since he was freaking out in his mind at the moment and was too distracted to walk on his own. It was still pretty early and Jeonghan’s grandmother probably wasn’t awake yet, so Won Woo couldn’t visit right now, he was busy with helping Mingyu anyway. He did think to himself to visit the elder soon, though.

“It wasn’t there?” Jihoon asked after they got back to the car. He had stayed behind while the two went inside. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to help look for Mingyu’s phone, he just didn’t think there was much he could do if he went in other than to just stand there. Unless they were allowed to search the place, which he doubted would be happening.

“No.” Won Woo shook his head while buckling his seatbelt. “Should we look at the place you ate at with Hansol yesterday?” He suggested. Chances were, he probably sat his phone down on the table or the seat after calling Won Woo and that’s how it was lost.

“Yeah.” Mingyu nodded. He was hoping it’d be there. Getting a new phone wouldn’t be a problem, but he just really didn’t want to have to go through getting a new one, he wanted the one he lost! He was now understanding how upset Won Woo must’ve felt when he lost his irreplaceable bracelet. To Mingyu it was just a bracelet at first until he saw how much it meant to Won Woo. Now the tables were turned. Won Woo probably thought it was just a phone but was now noticing how important it was to him. “We ate at your favorite burger joint.” Mingyu said so Won Woo knew where to drive them to.

Won Woo couldn’t help but smile when Mingyu told him what restaurant he was at yesterday. He kind of felt bad that he went to lunch with Ren instead of Mingyu, but he knew he had to pick Ren over him so he could ask the questions he needed answers to while he could. They can go together again soon at least.

The drive was silent on the way there besides the music playing on the car speakers. There wasn’t much any of the three had to say at the moment, Won Woo had to focus on driving while Mingyu was thinking of backup plans in case they really can’t find his phone. Jihoon was also thinking of ideas to help as well. They arrived several minutes later since they were close by after leaving the elders home.

Both Won Woo and Mingyu went inside, leaving Jihoon in the car again who was texting Seungcheol about the situation. Even though there wasn’t much the older could do, he said he’d ask among his friends if they had been to that burger joint recently or not. It was a bit of a stretch to be asking around like that, but you never know, luck could be on their side and someone could have happened to go to that restaurant after Mingyu and Hansol left and found the phone.

Won Woo and Mingyu were in and out within a few minutes with no luck again. “I’m going crazy!” Mingyu whimpered while leaning his head against the passenger side window. His phone was nowhere to be found at the restaurant, either. That or someone got to it before them.

“Damn, what should we do? Classes start soon.” Jihoon muttered from the backseat, it was almost 9:30am by now. They had been searching for a good hour since they picked Mingyu up earlier.

“I can take you to the campus and drop you off.” Won Woo said to Jihoon over his shoulder before he reached over to rest his hand on Mingyu’s shoulder. “I’ll skip class and help you look for your phone.”

“You don’t have to do that.” Mingyu frowned. “I can find it on my own.” He didn’t want to burden Won Woo again, despite he could really use the help.

“You were there for me when I lost my bracelet, I’ll be here for you and help you find your phone.” Won Woo said with a small smile, it was really sweet and meant a lot to Mingyu now.

“... alright. Thanks.” Mingyu’s mood seemed to brighten up and he leaned over to place a kiss on Won Woo’s lips out of impulse. Nineteen...

“Really?!” Jihoon complained in a disgusted tone when he looked up from his phone to see the two sharing a kiss. Won Woo covered his mouth and turned away from embarrassment, they had gotten caught up in the moment that they forgot Jihoon was in the backseat!

“Sorry!” Mingyu laughed, he was slightly embarrassed but he supposed if Jihoon didn’t know about their new relationship, he did now. Won Woo didn’t say a word and drove to the campus with a flustered expression the entire time, it was adorable. He’d talk to his friend about it later, for sure.

“Ooo, I’ve been eyeing this cafe for quite a while. I thought about bringing my boyfriend here but never had time to do so.” Soo Min said after they entered the small cafe that was titled “L.O.V.E Cafe”. She assumed it was a cafe for couples because of the name.

“You should bring him when you have time.” Ren smiled while leading them to the front counter. “Do you remember JR?” He asked after they took a seat on the stools. Soo Min had a bit of a small struggle trying to climb on until Ren finally helped her with a small laugh.

“Uh, yeah?” She answered once she was seated.

“He works here.” He said while gesturing to the waiter across the room taking some orders at the tables.

“Oh, nice!”

“Also… my boyfriend’s family owns this cafe.” Ren added and chuckled when he saw her turn to him with her jaw dropped, she seemed so shocked.

“Well, I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise. You and your friends seem so, I don’t know, the type that…” she was saying before she struggled to finish her sentence.

“Have a luxurious life?” He asked.

“Something like that!” She nodded. “Wah, you guys are so out of our league, I mean, you’re a model, your mother is a famous fashion designer, you’re going to be a fashion designer yourself. Now your boyfriend’s family is in the cafe business, this place seems really nice and popular… Baekho is your bodyguard. But what about your friend Aron? What’s his status?”

“His father is a private detective. Aron does some private detecting himself when I ask him for it.” Ren said without thinking and suddenly covered his mouth. “Uh… like if I need him to check out the modeling gigs I’m going to.”

“I see.” Soo Min said with a suspicious look in her eye. “Or like if you met two interesting individuals and had him snoop around the computer lab while I was in the bathroom?”

“Sorry.” Ren sighed and lowered his head in defeat, he basically confirmed her suspicion.

“It was really him?!” She was surprised yet glad. “Well, at least I know who it was now. I was worried if it was some sort of stalker or something.”

“We didn’t think you’d be in the bathroom at the time.” Ren explained. “I really came to talk to you, but we just had off timing.”

“What were you going to talk to me about?”

“Uh…” Ren didn’t think they’d end up talking about this right now and luckily, JR interrupted them.

“Morning, Ren.” He greeted before he noticed he had looked at the wrong person. “Oh, I’m terribly sorry!”

“It’s fine.” Soo Min assured him. “I’m used to it now.” She added with a small laugh. “Though I’m amused, I don’t even wear makeup yet you still mistake me as him?”

“Because you’re naturally pretty!” Ren pouted. “Possibly even prettier than me! And that’s without makeup!”

“Oh stop.” She snickered while rolling her eyes. “You’re the model here.”

“Can I take your order?” JR looked so apologetic and guilty now. “It’ll be on the house for the mix up.”

“That’s okay, but I suppose Ren was going to pay for it anyway.” She said with a sheepish smile. She picked something off the menu and so did Ren before JR left to get their order ready.

“Sorry about that.” Ren apologized as well.

“It’s fine.” She assured him before she sighed. “Ren, can I ask you something?” She asked while fiddling with a sugar packet between her fingers.

“Sure?” She could hear the nervous tone in his voice and it made her debate on whether she should ask him about it or not. If she should ask him about what he knew regarding her parents affair and why he thinks she’s his half sister. If I asked him and got an answer, maybe I wouldn’t be so stressed about not knowing…

She wasn’t sure what was worse, not knowing or knowing?

If what she suspects is true, she definitely knew she’d be mad and upset. But at the same time, maybe it wouldn’t be as terrible? At least she’d know the truth. Not knowing anything was really getting to her, it was frustrating her, she hadn’t been able to sleep well recently because of her restless thoughts about it. And to think they were going to L.A next week, she’d be seeing her at that time. She had no idea what to expect going to L.A this year now that her parents were tagging along after not going for the past three years. Perhaps she’d get some answers while she’s there?

It was making her nervous and anxious and quite worried. She was lost in thought now and when she snapped out of it, she noticed Minhyun had showed up. He was behind the counter, obviously because his family owned it, he was allowed to do that. She could see him talking to Ren and they seemed to be talking about something nice since Ren was smiling. After seeing that smile, her vision blurred and she let her head drop. She recalled how she felt earlier when he helped her pack her suitcase for L.A and did her hair for her. It was really nice, it made her happy to have that brotherly figure, and to think it could possibly be true also made her feel a bit happy. But all the pent up frustration, the pent up nerves, the pent up fear, the pent up stress was really getting to her now.

“Soo Min, are you okay?” She heard Ren ask and he placed his hand on her shoulder. “What’s wrong?”

She couldn’t say anything, her voice was stuck in and all she could do was let the tears fall and cry. Ren was worried now and he had a feeling about what she was crying for. He felt bad, he felt terrible. He started to regret being so quiet about everything now that she’s been catching onto him… he hated how he’s kept everything he knew about her to himself and he was finding it unfair. How could he do this to her? It was clear that she was suffering from the all the stress. Why couldn’t he just be honest to her, to Won Woo… to his siblings?

Could he really blame the timing? Would there ever be a good time to bring it up, to talk about it, to break the news to them? Then he realized he could only really blame himself for being so weak. For being a coward. For chickening out any time he thought about telling them the things he knew. He still felt like he was to blame for what happened between their parents, he felt guilty to the both of them. Won Woo was left behind and Soo Min was lied to. It was such a horrible situation… he wondered if it was even worth looking into now?

Maybe he should have kept it a secret after all? If it meant that his existence wouldn’t ruin two happy families, he would have been fine not knowing at all. But then again, he didn’t really know much to start with.

“Soo Min?” Another familiar voice asked and both Minhyun and Ren looked over to see a guy with light brown hair and a worried expression plastered on his face. He seemed to know Soo Min by the way he stepped forward and tapped on her shoulder. She looked up at him and quickly looked away before apologizing. “Is everything okay here?” He asked and looked over at Ren and Minhyun.

“She’s been stressed.” Ren said his honest thought.

“Really?” The guy looked back to Soo Min who had started to calm down.

“Yeah, but I’m okay now.” She managed to say after wiping her tears with the tissue Minhyun had handed her. “So we meet again.” She added with a small smile. “On an errand for your father again or something?”

“No.” Sebin shook his head with a weak smile. “I was actually going to get something to drink before going to the campus to find you.” It was interesting that he happened to pick this cafe out of the others along the path to campus, a couple cafe. Where was his date, huh? (JK XD)

“For what?” She was confused as to why he needed to find her.

“Well, it’s a long story, but I think my older friend Sangho found one of your friend’s phone when he was eating lunch with our other friends yesterday. He kinda knows who the owner is and well, your father mentioned that you met him for lunch yesterday and said you made a new friend by the name of Mingyu.”

“He told you that?” She asked, dumbfounded. Flashback to when Ren was dumbfounded earlier, they sure had some similar mannerisms, too.

“Well, he likes to tell me stuff whenever we run into each other on the sidewalk, we’re still neighbors.” He explained with a small chuckle.

“Right, I forgot. Sorry.” She understood now. “So, all by coincidence, the lost phone your friend found happened to be one of my friend’s?” There was the luck Mingyu was needing!

“That’s the story.” He nodded and held out the mentioned phone. “I didn’t think I’d run into you here, but I guess I was just lucky.” He added.

“Well, thanks. I wonder if he even knows that his phone is missing?” She muttered while pushing the power button. It didn’t turn on. “It’s dead.”

“It died this morning before I left the house.”

“You didn’t think to charge it for him?!” She frowned.

“I know, I wasn’t thinking!” Sebin held his hands up in defence. “But now my task for the day is done.”

“Good job.” She gave him a thumbs up before she noticed him eyeing Ren behind her. “Oh yeah, these two are some new friends of mine. This is Minhyun and this is Ren.” She said and pointed to each one to introduce. “They’re a couple, too.”

“Hi, nice to meet you.” Minhyun greeted kindly. Ren also said the same with a small wave.

“Nice to meet you two as well. I guess she’s been making a ton of friends since college started again.” Sebin pouted before looking back to her. “And I’m all forgotten.”

“It’s not like that!” She laughed and nudged him. Just then, Ren got a phone call and excused himself and headed outside to answer it. Minhyun mentioned he had something to check on in the back and also excused himself and Soo Min found that all too weird of a coincidence but shook it off and faced Sebin. “I guess it’s just you and I now, are you happy?” She joked.

“Yeah.” He said with a small laugh but she didn’t notice how sincere he was about it. “Did that Ren bring you here or something?” He asked while looking around the place. He noticed this didn’t seem like any normal cafe, there were way too many couples around and romantic settings. He knows she just introduced Ren and Minhyun as her friends and that the two guys were dating, so he wasn’t sure why he felt a bit jealous just then?

“His boyfriend’s family own this place, so he thought to bring me here since one of his friends also work here, too.” She explained while pointing to the waiter passing by, JR gave a smile before he paused and headed on over.

“Can I get you anything, sir?” He asked to Sebin.

“Oh… uh,” He quickly looked up at the drink menu display on the wall behind the counter and picked the first thing he saw. “A pink lemonade.”

“Coming right up.” JR flashed another smile and headed off to prepare the drink.

“Does pink lemonade taste any different than normal lemonade?” Soo Min asked while staring at the menu before watching JR prepare the drink nearby at the drink station.

“I’m not too sure. I just picked the first thing I saw.” He gave a sheepish laugh. “Do you like lemonade?” She nodded just as JR returned with it. Sebin pulled out his wallet and paid for the drink before sliding it over to her. “You can have it.”

“But-”

“I’m not a real fan of lemonade.” He admitted with a small laugh when she gawked at him.

“Then what about your drink you came here for originally?” She raised a brow before accepting the drink and took a sip. Her face scrunched up and she covered after setting it down.

“Sour?” He asked.

“Not really, it just shocked my taste buds.” She managed to say after recovering, it was a bit tart but really sweet at the same time, so sweet it almost hurt her teeth. “Try it? You might like it.” She slid it back over to him. He looked at it for a moment before he turned it and picked it up to drink, taking a sip from the same area she took a drink from. She didn’t notice that of course. Once he got a sip of it, he put it back down and reacted the same way as her. It was tart but super sweet at the same he was surprised, he expected it to be more sour than sweet.

“That is a shock.” He muttered while touching his lips, he was wondering why he did that until he was snapped out of it when he saw her take another sip of the drink from the same spot as him. His face started to heat up when he saw it. Indirect kiss… he started to get flustered until Ren returned to the counter. “I’ll get going now so you can get back to your friends.” He said quickly and turned to leave. “Have fun.”

“Okay, see ya around!” She called after him with small wave. He looked over his shoulder a second later and waved with a kind smile and said the same back to her, but she could tell he seemed bothered by something just now. What’s with him?

“So that was your neighbor?” Minhyun asked when he also returned to the counter. He had seen what was going on and was curious about that encounter. He thought to himself maybe Soo Min didn’t realize what just happened and he wouldn’t bring it up, but he was sure going to keep his eye on that neighbor the next time he saw them together.

“Growing up, yes. I don’t live with my parents anymore. I guess he hasn’t moved out of his parents place yet, so he’s still neighbors with my parents.”

“Oh, that explains it.”

“Yup.” She nodded before she finally looked at Ren. Her expression faltered a bit before she apologized.

“It’s fine.” He assured her. “It happens.” He was referring to when he cried while they were getting ice cream before. Because she wasn’t the only one who’s been stressed. “You should probably let Mingyu know you have his phone by the way.”

“Oh, right!” She nodded before she pulled her own phone out and started to compose a text… to Mingyu. Ren had leaned over to check who she was texting because for some odd reason he felt like she would be texting the wrong person, and she did.

“Really?” He asked and held up the dead phone that was placed next to her on the counter. “He’s definitely not going to reply!” He added before reaching over to flick her on the forehead. He then pulled out his own phone to compose a text to Won Woo since Soo Min failed to do so already.

“That hurt.” She whimpered and rubbed the sore spot on her head before she looked to Minhyun who just gave her an apologetic smile.

“It’s okay, you’ve been through a lot, don’t worry.” He pointed out. It was true, she probably wasn’t thinking straight at the moment.

“I texted Won Woo.” Ren suddenly said. “Just waiting for a reply-ow! What was that for?!” He yelped when his boyfriend also flicked him on the forehead. Minhyun just grinned and Soo Min laughed evilly, she appreciated Minhyun avenging her. A moment later, their food finally arrived and they started to eat while waiting to hear back from Won Woo.

“Of all days, why today?” Mingyu complained. “Why is this happening to me?” He really felt like the universe was against him or something, that he did something bad in his past life and was being punished for it now. He was exaggerating.

“I know you’re upset about your phone, but complaining isn’t going to help.” Won Woo sighed while resting his head back onto the headrest of his seat. They were currently parked at Han River so they could take a small break and think of another plan. They skipped their morning classes and they were probably going to skip their afternoon classes as well if they didn’t find Mingyu’s phone soon. They weren’t sure where it could be and at this point it might as well be stolen, restored and sold off to someone in the city, or even pawned.

Mingyu just let out a long irritating sigh and Won Woo was almost annoyed but laughed when Mingyu stopped to take a breath and continued that same sigh. “What am I going to do?”

“It’ll be fine. Don’t worry. We’ll find it.” Won Woo tried to say positively, though it was hard. He felt like maybe Mingyu’s phone was officially lost and long gone, but it was no time to be negative about it, they had to have some sort of hope that they’d find it. Just like when he thought his friendship bracelet was long gone, Mingyu did his best to be positive about it. But it did seem a lot easier to be positive for others and not yourself. “Even if it won’t be the same, you’ll just have to get a new phone if we don’t find it. happens, you know.”

“Thanks.” Mingyu didn’t sound amused and Won Woo felt bad. Maybe he shouldn’t have said that. “Sorry.” He apologized when he noticed the older’s expression falter and he looked away. “There’s just some irreplaceable photos on that phone of me and my friends. Memories I want to keep.”

“I understand.” Won Woo looked back to him with a weak smile. He really did understand.

“... really, thank you for taking the time to search for my phone with me.” Mingyu finally sat up properly and reached over to take Won Woo’s hand into his. “I’m sorry for burdening you once again.”

“It’s fine.” Won Woo assured him with a stronger smile. “I know you’d do the same for me.”

“Exactly.” Mingyu nodded. “So, should we start looking again?”

“No, not yet. Just five more minutes.” Won Woo said softly before leaning forward a bit with a cute smile. It was clear what he wanted and Mingyu couldn’t help but smile and leaned over to catch Won Woo’s lips into a short kiss. They parted for a few seconds before kissing again, it was a bit longer this time until Won Woo’s phone vibrated in his pocket and he parted. Twenty two.

Daniel: You’re not coming to class?

Won Woo sighed. He appreciated his friend’s interruption greatly. “What is it?” Mingyu asked curiously.

“Nothing.” He let his phone drop into the cup holder before leaning over again for another kiss. Mingyu didn’t think to question it and proceeded to kiss Won Woo a third time. A few more kisses later, Won Woo’s phone vibrated again. And now Won Woo officially lost count this time. He sighed once more and checked to see who it was. His annoyed expression dropped when he noticed it was a text from Ren.

Ren: Hey, Won Woo, are you in class?

“Is it important this time?” Mingyu chuckled when Won Woo sat back in his seat properly so he could text the person back.

“Kind of.” Won Woo muttered.

Won Woo: No.

I skipped class to help Mingyu with something.

Ren: Could you be searching for a missing phone?

Because we have it.

“He has your phone.” Won Woo held up his phone for Mingyu to read the texts.

Ren: I brought Soo Min to my boyfriend’s family cafe for breakfast and we bumped into her friend Sebin who happened to have Mingyu’s phone.

Mingyu was surprised, the fact that Ren was also the one who found Won Woo's lost friendship bracelet and now he found Mingyu's phone, the guy definitely had to be some sort of all knowing being or something! Even though Ren didn't find the phone himself, but he was the one giving the news that the lost precious item was found.

“What a weird coincidence.” Won Woo’s voice snapped him out of it. “Let’s go get your phone.”

“Right.” Mingyu nodded and sat back into his seat properly, their small kissing session was over now and even though he wished it didn’t have to be cut short, getting his phone back was important… there was always another time for kissing. I didn’t think he’d like that so much. He was kind of surprised at how Won Woo initiated it this time. A few days ago he was expressing how nervous and scared he was about entering this relationship but he seemed to be doing just fine! He was glad. He would be sure not to point it out in case Won Woo gets shy about it and backs off, he didn’t want that happening for sure.

Once they were on the road again, their destination L.O.V.E Cafe, Mingyu started to think about that name that was mentioned in the text. Sebin? I've heard that name before? It was definitely familiar to him now that he was thinking about it. A moment later another name came to mind. Sangho. Then it started to click. Sebin is one of Sangho friends. He remembered now.

Mingyu hadn’t thought he was being obvious, but apparently he was when Won Woo asked him what was wrong when they came up to a traffic light. The younger had been pretty quiet. “Nothing.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah.” Mingyu nodded and kept looking out the window.

“What is it?” Won Woo pestered. “Tell me?”

“We’re officially dating now, right?” Mingyu asked, his gaze still out the window.

“... yeah.” He could hear the nervous tone in Won Woo’s voice.

“I’m your boyfriend, right?”

“Mingyu, just tell me what’s bothering you, enough with the questions.” Won Woo frowned. “Why are you suddenly like this?”

“Have you told anyone yet?” Another question.

“Well, Jihoon knows now since I told him and then you kissed me right in front of him!” Won Woo snickered. “I haven’t had the chance to talk to Soo Min because other things are going on. And I don’t always talk to my other friends, I haven’t really seen them that much this week either.”

“I see.” Mingyu muttered and glanced at Won Woo for a second before looking back out the window. “Sorry, just ignore me.” He didn’t mean to act so strange just now, but after thinking of his ex boyfriend, he felt like he needed to hear Won Woo confirm their relationship status.

“Really?” Won Woo asked just as the light turned green. He had no choice but to focus on driving again, but it was difficult since he was worried about Mingyu now.

The car ride was silent until they arrived to the cafe Ren told them the address to in the text. The new couple got out of the car and headed inside and didn't waste any time either and looked for their friends the second they stepped foot into the cafe. They instantly spotted Ren and Soo Min at the front counter to the right of the room and headed on over, Minhyun had left moments before to tend to something in the back of the building. Soo Min greeted them with a smile and so did Ren. It was always interesting seeing them in the same room together, especially after what’s been going on recently.

“Here it is.” Soo Min handed Mingyu his phone. “It’s dead though, sorry. My friend didn’t think to charge it last night, blame him.”

“That’s okay.” Mingyu laughed. “So, he found it where again?”

“Oh, he didn’t find it, his friend Sangho found it.” Soo Min explained and she along with Ren and Won Woo noticed Mingyu’s expression drop a little when that name was mentioned. “He said Sangho kinda knew you, and Sebin heard from my father that you and I are friends so I guess Sangho had Sebin pass it to me so I could return it to you. He found it at the restaurant he and his friends went to yesterday.”

“Well, at least no one stole it.” Mingyu said a moment later with a small chuckle. “Thanks.”

“No problem!” She beamed while Ren just silently smiled behind her. He didn’t have much to say about the situation anyway. “So, I guess you two really skipped class for that phone. Must be special.” She teased.

“Yeah, it is!” Mingyu pouted and held it close to his chest. “I have so many memories on it!”

“Understandable. But you should start backing it up in case you really lose it.” She suggested before looking to Won Woo who seemed slightly jealous about the attention Mingyu was giving to the dead device. “You’re being obvious.” She teased.

“Really?” He laughed before he faced them. “Right, so I wanted to tell you two something.” He added while tugging on Mingyu’s arm to get his attention.

“What is it?” Soo Min already seemed excited and Ren just chuckled at her sudden mood change.

“Even though we haven’t been on a proper date yet, we’re together now.” He managed to say without getting too shy or embarrassed. He figured Mingyu was bothered by that earlier, maybe he would feel better now after seeing him tell Soo Min himself.

“Wow, congratulations!” Soo Min blurted out, she seemed so overjoyed that Ren had to put a hand on her shoulder so she wouldn’t fall out of her seat. It seemed like a long fall to the floor in her case if she wasn’t careful.

“Again, I’m happy for you two.” Ren said with a sweet smile.

“Oh, right, we talked about it yesterday.” Won Woo suddenly remembered that.

“Well, now that I have my phone back, I think we can go on that proper date now?” Mingyu said while taking Won Woo's hand into his with a cute smile. Hearing Won Woo confirm it to his best friend really helped after all.

“What about school?” Ren frowned before getting shushed by Soo Min. “You two are so bad!” Ren pouted and pinched the bridge of his nose while the other two laughed. Fangirl mode was activated and she’d be damned if anyone ruined her ship’s special day.

“Start here!” She beamed. “This cafe seems to be a hot spot for couples~!” She gestured to the other couples around at the tables. “We’ll get out of your way, have fun~!” She added before hopping off her seat and started pulling on Ren’s arm to follow her out.

“But my boyfriend’s still here!” Ren complained.

“Just text him!” She continued to tug on his arm. “Let’s go~! Have fun on your date!” She sing songed while successfully dragging Ren away from the counter to the exit. Poor Ren looked like he had to give in or the girl would hurt herself from trying to pull him away. He managed a small wave to the couple before they were gone.

“Gosh, they really do look alike.” Mingyu muttered once they were gone.

“Yeah.” Won Woo nodded with a weak chuckle. “No doubt that they’re siblings.”

“Are you okay?” Mingyu asked when he noticed Won Woo’s dejected expression.

“I’m fine.” Won Woo assured him.

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah, let’s focus on our first date for now.” Won Woo said before turning to look up at the menu. “We can eat here and then go somewhere else after.”

“Okay.” Mingyu had no choice but to agree for now. He just hoped Won Woo would talk to him afterwards.

They ordered their food and they received it pretty quick and were already eating. Mingyu tried to make small talk with Won Woo and focused on topics that wouldn’t stress him out, but he could tell his date was still bothered about something. When they were done eating, they left the cafe and went on a drive. It seemed like the drive calmed Won Woo down a bit and he asked Mingyu where he’d like to go next. “Your place?”

“My place?” Won Woo repeated like he said something shocking.

“To charge my phone!” Mingyu laughed. “We have the same phone, so it should be the same charger, right?”

“Right.” Won Woo nodded with an embarrassed snicker. It was clear he had overthunk the suggestion and it was quite cute to Mingyu.

“We can at least hang out there until our afternoon classes, right?” They might as well attend their second class, skipping really wasn’t going to look good on them especially before midterm week.

“Yeah… hangout…” Won Woo sounded somewhat disappointed for some reason and it made Mingyu laugh.

“Or we can make out on the couch instead?” He asked in a teasing tone. It seemed like if no one had texted Won Woo, they would have had a full make out earlier in the car.

“Shut up.” Won Woo frowned and focused on his driving again, his cheeks were bright red. Mingyu only grinned though, he was happy.

...

“Please tell me that you’re going to your class at noon, and that you’re not going to ditch.” Ren said while they were stopped at a traffic light. They had driven around a bit since leaving the cafe and listened to some Lady GaGa tracks on the way.

“Maybe.” She shrugged her shoulders and gave a sheepish giggle when he gave her a scolding look. “I will but there’s still an hour before I have to be on campus.”

“What are you going to do for an hour then?” He asked when the light turned green.

“Hangout with you!” She said happily and he felt his heart ache just a bit. He still felt bad about not telling her anything, he felt bad that he had to watch her cry like that earlier before Sebin came along. I should tell her. He thought while she talked about the places and things they could do before her class. I have to tell her. The phone call he received earlier was from his adoptive mother asking to meet up for an early dinner later, a part of him wanted to bring Soo Min along, Won Woo too, but it was just bad timing since since it was on such short notice and it seemed like the two had other things going on anyway. He’d invite them next time for sure.

“You know…” Ren interrupted her suggestions with a weak smile. “Why don’t you come over to my house? There’s something… I should tell you.”

“Really?” Her bright expression faltered a bit but she nodded. “Okay.” Despite being nervous about what he had to say, she felt like maybe she would be finally getting some answers today.

The rest of the drive to his house was quiet, but a comfortable quiet while Lady GaGa played. It gave Ren time to think about how he was going to approach her with the topic and how he was going to tell her. He wasn’t going to just blurt it out, he had to at least build up to it so it wasn’t so shocking, but it was probably going to be shocking regardless of how he does it. Just before they got to his house, he heard her quietly singing along to Poker Face and it put a smile on his poker face. It was adorable to him and he really liked it. He liked how they both were fond of their Momma Monster. It was probably the one thing that would make it easy on them if they’re truly siblings, it was something they could bond over.

When they arrived shortly after, he could already hear Soo Min cooing at how nice his house looked and if he was honest, he picked up on some jealousy here and there. Maybe because she lived in a small two bedroom apartment. Anyone would be envious, right? Well, not him. He’d rather live in a small two bedroom apartment with his best friend than alone in this big two story house.

“You live in this huge house all by yourself?!” She asked after they entered through the front door. She spun around to take all of it in and he chuckled at how adorable it look. “You even have a pool in your backyard, what?!” She ran over to the back sliding door to gawk at the pretty teal colored water that sparkled because of the sunlight. “And I just took a shower today, ugh…”

“It’s too cold to be swimming right now.” Ren said in a scolding tone behind her.

“True.” She pouted before his huge kitchen caught her eye and she rushed over to look at it. “Oh my gosh, it’s so spacious!” She exclaimed while running around the center island counter. “Won Woo and I can’t even be in the kitchen at the same time in our apartment, it’s so small!”

“Stop!” Ren frowned when he saw how careless she was being while running around and she eventually hit her kidney on the corner of the counter and stopped before yelping in pain. “You’re so reckless!” He scolded while coming over to check if she was okay, but by the time he got to her, she had ran over to gawk at his fancy refrigerator. Maybe I shouldn’t have brought her here after all. He pinched the bridge of his nose until he heard her gasp. “What?”

“You barely have anything in here!” She exclaimed while pointing into his empty fridge and freezer. Her expression looked sad suddenly. “Do you not eat here at all?”

“Sometimes… when my friends are over.” He explained. “I’ve been pretty busy lately, so I haven’t been shopping recently for the fridge. It’s just me in this house, I usually go out to eat.”

“That can’t be healthy.” She pouted but snickered, who was she to talk, she ate out a lot too! “We should go shopping!” She closed the fridge and started to run out of the kitchen but Ren managed to stop her by the arm.

“Another time!” He said with a weak laugh. “We can go another time, okay? I brought you here to talk, not to-” suddenly she was out of his hold and running around the living room now. “She’s like an entirely different person.” He muttered while facepalming and shaking his head. “More like a little kid on a sugar high.” He started to remember what she ordered at the cafe earlier, it seemed to be something normal, just some pancakes with syrup(a lot of it), fruit and orange juice, but perhaps she wasn’t used to having sugar this early in the morning and… maybe he made a big mistake.

“You have a second floor?!” She blurted out before running up the stairs. Ren snapped out of it seconds later and ran after her.

“What are you doing?!” He shouted after her. To think he stopped himself from looking around her shared apartment when he was there and here she was, running around everywhere without him. When he got up to the second floor, he didn’t know which way she went and had to take a wild guess and went right when she had gone left. It would be amusing if you were standing at the bottom of the stairs and saw him running across the hallway frantically when he realized she was on the other side of the second floor, his long raven hair flying behind him at his fast pace.

“You have a Lady GaGa shrine?!” She asked once she heard him enter the room. She was staring at the many posters of his Momma Monster on the wall along with a small shelf of CDs and DVDs, magazines and other fan merch.

“Shrine? This is my room!” He pouted before kicking his door shut. “You have to stop running around, I can’t keep up!” He added with a hint of fatigue in his tone.

“Your room, huh?” She grinned and started looking around, but she didn’t touch anything. “I mean, I like Lady GaGa, but not to this extent.” She muttered while looking at the posters.

“You like Hello Kitty more, that’s why.” He snickered. Their rooms were very different, but that was to be expected. “Can you sit down for a bit?” He gestured to his desk chair, but she was already sitting on his bed. She paused and was about to get up and sit in the chair he gestured to but he stopped her. “No, there is fine too!” He said before sitting in his desk chair and swiveled his way over CLOSER towards her.

“You were going to tell me something, huh?” She asked while pulling her phone out of her jacket pocket. There was still another thirty minutes before she had to be on campus. “Was it important?” She added while standing again. “It’s almost time for me to go…”

Ren suddenly noticed something when she did that. She seemed nervous and worried, almost like she didn’t want to be there anymore now that he got her to sit down so he could talk to her. All that running around and questioning was probably her stalling and delaying him from saying what he had to say. Maybe she’s scared? He knew that feeling, those times he stalled and chickened out when it came to talking to her. He understood. And he really thought about if he really should just let her go now or not?

A moment of silence fell upon them, Ren was thinking while Soo Min was waiting for him to talk again. “If you want to go now, that’s fine.” He also stood up from his seat. “I said I was driving you to school today, right? We can go.”

“But…” she barely got out and stared at him. “You had something to tell me?”

“Yes.” He nodded. “But I’m not sure if you want to hear it now?”

“What is it?” She slowly sat down on his bed again and appeared to be giving him her full attention. He also took his seat again and took a deep breath and exhaled before looking up at her.

“It seems you’ve been pretty stressed lately, because of me, right?” He asked with a guilty expression. She just sat there and frowned at him. “I’m sorry…” he started off with an apology. “Did Won Woo tell you anything about our talk yesterday?”

“That you think I’m your half sister?” She said softly and averted her eyes to the floor. She looked conflicted after saying it. “That Won Woo might be your half brother, too…” it was clear that it was difficult for her to say. Probably because it was such a shock and it was so sudden, too.

“I never meant for it to be like this.” Ren admitted a moment later. “After I met you on that camping trip, my friends kept telling me how we looked alike and joked about you being my long lost sister. It would have been silly if it weren’t for the fact that I’m actually adopted. That’s when I decided to look into who my real parents were and once I started to figure things out, everything started to lead to you and Won Woo. I was surprised and didn’t expect it at all. I was able to sit down and ask my adoptive mother about my real parents. She knows who they are and she even showed me who my mother is. She ended up saying a little more than she should have, judging by how quick she was to leave after that. She gave me a hint on who my father might be. After getting to know you and Won Woo, you both fit the story almost perfectly.”

“What is that story?” She asked and looked up at him. “What is the truth?”

“My birth mother who had an affair with her husband’s best friend left off to Busan for work, for about 9 months. I was born, but given up for adoption because clearly, I was a mistake.” He explained.

“Don’t say it like that.” Soo Min said with a frown. She could hear the hurt in his tone so evidently, and it was enough to also hurt her as well. She could feel that connection they had getting stronger the more he explained it all.

“But it’s true. I shouldn’t have been born. Because after that, another child was born 9 months later. Things were fine until my biological father’s wife found out and it caused a rift in their friendship. My birth mother and her husband left to the states for work and left behind the child born after me, and I believe that child is Won Woo. She said, that child was very close to the daughter of my biological father. You’re the only female best friend Won Woo has. Therefore, your father… must be my father.”

“But… how do you know Won Woo is the child born after you?” Her tone sounded like she was in denial and it was expected, but Ren didn’t take it in a negative way.

“Because, my birth mother’s last name is Jeon. Jeon Hye Won. Jeon Won Woo. But if you’d like to confirm that for me, I would appreciate it.” He said while pulling out his phone to pull up the picture he got from his adoptive mother. The photo of his birth mother. He handed his phone over and watched Soo Min stare at it with a disappointed and broken look. “That’s Won Woo’s mother, right?”

“It is.” She nodded. “I can’t believe this.” She stood up and gave his phone back. “This can’t be real, right?” She started to pace back and forth. “I must be still dreaming, right?” She stopped to slap her cheeks, as if it would wake her. “That creepy dark figure is going to jump out at any second right? The faceless woman and her baby, too?”

“I know you’re shocked.” Ren stood up and reached out to rest a hand on her shoulder but she flinched and backed away. His heart sank. “Soo Min?” Her expression was clear, she wasn’t taking this well at all. “I’m sorry.”

“Why?” She said softly. “Why am I feeling worse than what I thought I’d feel?” She felt angry, sad, bitter, confused, lost, disappointed and more. She had expected to feel a lot less negative about the situation because she had been thinking about it a lot recently. Surely it would have lessened the impact of the new information, right? She thought she’d be shocked for a few minutes and then calm down and get over it and accept it, but right now… it was hard to look at Ren. She felt angry at him yet he did nothing, it wasn’t his fault. He was going to tell me at some point, right?

“I should have told you sooner.” He suddenly spoke. “I should have told you and Won Woo sooner, I can’t imagine how much it’s been stressing you out lately… it was wrong of me to keep it from you for this long, but I really didn’t know how to approach you or how to explain it. I’m sorry.”

“... maybe you have proof of Won Woo being your half brother, but where’s the proof that I’m your half sister?” She muttered and looked at him briefly. She could see the broken look on his face and it hurt her, but at the same time… Where is the proof? It’s all just speculation at the moment, right?

“I’m still working on that part.” Ren honestly replied. “I know it probably sounds crazy when there’s no proof, I’m sorry.” He apologized again. “But I just wanted to tell you what I knew.” Her thoughts from earlier were true, he didn’t want to say anything without solid evidence. “It just seems to make a lot of sense when I was told my half brother was really close with my father’s daughter.”

“I don’t know what to do?” She sighed. “I won’t believe it until…”

“I understand.” Ren said softly.

There was a long silence between them until she spoke again. “You don’t have to worry about driving me to school, okay?” She said before walking towards the bedroom door to leave. She exited the room without another word and all Ren could do was stand there and watch her leave. He didn’t think things would end like this and he sat back down in his seat while trying to hold back his tears. So much for not crying today. As much as he wanted to go after her and stop her, his body wouldn’t move. He knew he shouldn’t do that, it was clear it wouldn’t go the way he wanted it to go. The best thing to do was to let her go.

When Soo Min made it down to the front door, she was almost startled when she saw Minhyun standing there about to ring the doorbell. “Oh, I didn’t think he would bring you here.” He said with a small smile before it faltered. “Are you okay?” It was clear that she was about to cry at the moment.

“I’m fine!” She said while catching a tear that fell. “By the way, do you know how to get to campus from here?” She stepped out of the house and closed the door behind her. “I don’t mean to burden you so suddenly, but…”

“Of course, no problem.” He had an idea of what might have happened. So, he finally told her.

“Thanks.” She said in a small voice and another tear fell. He led her to his car so they could leave, but Minhyun would definitely be returning to comfort his boyfriend after he drops her off.

The ride to campus was very silent, other than Soo Min’s sniffling in the passenger seat. “You know…” Minhyun spoke suddenly. “I hope you’re not too angry at Ren.” He could see her look at him in his peripheral vision and he only smiled. “One of the biggest reasons why he didn’t say anything yet was because he was scared that you two would hate him.”

“Why?”

“Well, his birth seemed to have caused issues between your parents and Won Woo’s parents. Even if it wasn’t his intention, he feels guilty and sorry about it the moment he found out. He was also afraid that because of that, you two would be angry with him, you wouldn't be able to help but feel angry.” He was right. “Typically when things like this happen, people just have those bitter feelings about it, even if they’re not that kind of person. It’s just so shocking and disappointing to hear at first, right?”

“Yes.” She replied with a small cracked voice.

“Being lied to this whole time must not feel so great… so it’s okay. You can be angry. You can be upset… but I hope that you will also accept the truth when it’s confirmed, and that you will accept Ren if he is indeed your half brother.”

“Of course.” She managed to say while wiping at another tear. “So much has been happening and so quickly, too. It’s been pretty frustrating… and now I feel like I reacted badly to what Ren told me. He’s probably so upset now.” Her tears started up again. “I didn’t want that.”

“It’s okay. I’m sure he understands that you’ve been stressed.” Minhyun assured her while reaching over to give her a gentle pat on her shoulder. “Just give it some time.” He added with a kind smile when she finally looked at him.

“Thanks.” She managed to say while wiping her tears with her jacket sleeve.

“We’re here, by the way.” He said a moment later once she calmed down again.

“Right, thanks for the ride. Please go back and make sure he’s okay… please.”

“I will. Have a great day at school, Miss GaGa.” He said while she was getting out of the passenger seat. When she looked in to tell him bye, he waved and it put a cute smile on her face. She waved back before heading off into the main entrance.

Minhyun left once she was inside and he was back at Ren’s place in a short amount of time. He went straight up to Ren’s room to see his boyfriend lying on his bed with one of his arms covering his eyes while quietly crying. It broke his heart, but he had to be strong for his lover and made his way over to sit on the bed next to him. He took a hold of Ren’s free hand and gave it a small squeeze in hopes it would help calm his crying boyfriend.

“I gave her a ride to school.” He said after a short while. He knew Ren wasn’t going to talk to him about it, but he thought to let Ren know what happened when Soo Min left. It could help him in the end. “I talked to her…” Minhyun continued. “She doesn’t hate you, okay?” And just like he hoped, Ren’s tears started to die down. “She was just really overwhelmed, that’s all. It’ll be fine, in time.”

“Do you really think so?” Ren asked while sitting up.

“Yes, I believe so.” Minhyun nodded and wrapped his arm around him to pull him close for a side hug. “It’s okay to be upset, so cry as much as you have to.”

“Jerk!” Ren teared up again and lightly hit him on the chest. “Just when I stopped crying!”

“It’s okay!’ Minhyun laughed and turned slightly to give him a proper hug. Ren cried into his boyfriend’s shoulder for a long time after that.

...

“What happened?” Jihoon asked when he saw Soo Min approach the table. His class let out a bit early so it was just him at the table right now. He was worried when he saw her show up and it was clear she had been crying. He worried if she experienced another nightmare after he and Won Woo left earlier? He could understand if she woke up all alone.

“Ren came to the apartment shortly after you and Won Woo left earlier.” She started to explain while sitting down. “He took me to breakfast and then there was the situation about Mingyu’s lost phone.”

“Oh, did he ever find it?” Jihoon asked, clearly interested to know how that adventure was going.

“Yeah, apparently one of my old neighbor’s friends found it and had him pass it on to me since my father mentioned I was friends with Mingyu. It all seemed like a weird coincidence…” she said with a small sigh before continuing. “After Mingyu got his phone back, he and Won Woo decided to go on a date.”

“Wow, what perfect timing, right?” Jihoon snickered.

“I’m happy for them at least, even if they’re being bad students today.” She said with a snicker of her own. “I left with Ren shortly after.” Her expression seemed to falter a bit after mentioning that.

“... did you ask him about what he knew?” Jihoon seemed to have already started piecing things together. He remembered telling her and Won Woo to ask Ren about when he knew next time they met, but he didn’t think they’d be meeting so soon like that.

“No, but he ended up telling me after we went to his house.” Recalling the things he said, the story he told, she felt the tears start to surface again. “I didn’t take it too well and I left quickly. I feel so bad, I probably hurt his feelings by doing that.”

“You were overwhelmed, I’m sure he didn’t take it personally…” Jihoon said to be positive, but it didn’t seem to really help. “It’ll be okay…” he gave her a small pat on her arm while she wiped away her tears. That’s when Jeonghan and the others finally arrived to the table.

“What’s wrong?!” Jeonghan was already concerned by the situation and Soo Min only got up to hug him, because it was what she needed right now, a hug. “What happened?” He looked to Jihoon for an answer. It was difficult since he didn’t know whether to say it in front of their friends or not. They weren’t really in the loop at the moment. Or well, Jisoo was probably the only one who wasn’t really in the loop.

“We’ll go get the food.” Seungcheol spoke up and beckoned for Jisoo to follow him so they could give them some privacy, despite they were in a public setting to start with. Junhui was okay to stay since he was there from the moment she found out about her parent’s affair.

“Ren finally told her what he knew.” Jihoon said once the other two were gone.

“And that was?” Junhui asked. He still didn’t know much about the situation, even though he tried to get Hyungwon to talk, it was a failed attempt.

“The story of why he thinks she’s his half sister?” Jeonghan asked and Jihoon nodded.

“It’s official that he’s Won Woo’s half brother.” Soo Min pulled back so she could speak. “Ren showed me the picture of his birth mother and it was Won Woo’s mom.” She explained and everyone at the table was stunned. “But there’s the story that one of my parents had an affair, Ren says it must be my father because of what his adoptive mother told him, that his half brother was close friends with his father’s daughter. There isn’t much proof for that part though, so I don’t want to believe it yet.”

“Of course, it’s hard to assume something is true without evidence.” Jeonghan said while wiping a tear for her before they took a seat at the table.

“I wouldn’t see how it’s not true though, despite lack of evidence? It seems to really fit the story.” Junhui said honestly but earned a small glare from Soo Min, it was probably because she had just said she didn’t want to believe it but here he was implying it had to be true. “Ah, I get it, sorry.” He apologized.

“I guess we wouldn’t really know how she feels since we’re not in a situation like that.” Jihoon pointed out. “It must be really stressful, so she had a right to be upset.”

“I don’t want to be upset, though.” She quickly said. “Even when I was thinking about it yesterday, I thought it would be nice if it was actually true, but now that I was told it has to be true, I feel so differently about it. The idea was nice but the reality wasn’t.”

“Maybe it’s just the shock?” Jeonghan said while rubbing her back in hopes it’d comfort her. “After a bit when you’re calm, you might feel differently?”

“He’s right, you’re just shocked right now.” Junhui said with a weak smile. “Think of it like in the heat of the moment kind of thing, you’ll definitely feel differently about it later on.”

“It doesn’t help that midterms are next week and then we leave for L.A.” She muttered. “I wanted to know what Ren had to say but the timing couldn’t be any worse.”

“It’ll be okay.” They suddenly heard Jisoo say. He and Seungcheol had returned to the table. “If things get bad, you can come stay at my mom’s place down the street. There will be cookies every day.” He added with a small laugh when her expression brightened up. His mother always baked a ton of cookies when he visited, she was that kind of mother!

“Thank you.” Jeonghan said to Jisoo after he sat next to him with their food. Soo Min seemed to be in a better mood, or well, she was playfully arguing with Jihoon about eating too many cookies at the Hong house, but don’t worry she was definitely in better moods they promise you!

“Of course, no problem.” Jisoo assured his friend. “She’s more than welcome to stay with us if she has to.”

“I appreciate it.” Jeonghan reached over to give him a gentle pat on his shoulder, his smile was bright and genuine and it had Jisoo’s heart skipping a few beats. A small tint of pink colored his cheeks once Jeonghan turned away to see what his girlfriend was going on about with their friends.

Jisoo only watched Jeonghan join the conversation in silence. He watched him talk to the others and laugh here and there… he even watched him share some of his food with his girlfriend before she had to leave for class. He watched them share a quick kiss and he watched the love struck gaze Jeonghan had while watching her leave the building. During that whole time, Junhui had been watching Jisoo and noticed how the guy looked so focused on their long haired friend. How he smiled when Jeonghan smiled and how he frowned slightly when Jeonghan kissed Soo Min. Eventually, Jeonghan noticed Jisoo staring and Jisoo gave a sheepish chuckled and looked away only to catch Junhui staring at him. Jisoo looked like he had been caught and quickly paid attention to his food while Junhui smirked. He could tell something was going on now.

“Junhui,” Jisoo’s voice caught Junhui’s attention after a few moments. Jihoon had left for his class early and Jeonghan and Seungcheol went to the counter to order some more food, which left Jisoo and Junhui alone at the table. It seemed like Mingyu’s friends weren’t around today, possibly studying hard for their midterms.

“Yeah?”

“Did you leave some money for Minghao’s lunch today?” He asked but his expression looked disappointed and like he was getting ready to scold him.

“Oh… uh…” he didn’t. “I forgot, sorry!” Apparently, Minghao had texted Jisoo complaining that he was at the apartment starving. He didn’t know how to cook yet, so he couldn’t do much with the stuff in the fridge, so they had been leaving the boy money to order food until they could go grocery shopping for more things Minghao could make on his own without needing to use the oven or stove. He could at least use the microwave.

“You better go feed him or you’re going to suffer when you get home later.” Jisoo said with a sorry laugh.

“I didn’t sign up for this!” Junhui pouted while getting up from his seat. “The way you say that, you make it sound like he’s our pet!”

“Sorry!” Jisoo chuckled. “But be sure to walk him after eating!”

Junhui just rolled his eyes, but in a playful manner before saying he’d go. Jisoo watched Junhui leave with another small laugh, but he felt bad for their youngest roommate. He hoped they could really figure something out for the boy so he wasn’t always stuck at home with nothing to do and nothing to eat.

“Hey~!” Jeonghan’s voice suddenly snapped him out of it. “Where’d Jun go?”

“Ah, he went home to feed Minghao.”

“Awh, he sounds like a puppy.” Jeonghan laughed when Jisoo gave him a pout. “Maybe we should arrange for him to hangout with Chan? There’s only a two year age difference but it should be fine. I’m sure he wouldn’t have to be lonely while you're at school and Jun is out flirting with every girl on the planet. He most definitely won’t be starving at Chan’s house.”

“That could work!” Jisoo was glad to hear it. He didn’t even think about having those two hanging out until Jeonghan mentioned it. But now that he thought about it, it almost sounded like they were arranging for their children to have a play date. Chan was Jeonghan's baby and Minghao was Jisoo’s baby… the thought made him laugh.

“Good, I’ll get a hold of Chan and let him know. It’s better this way so we can enjoy our time in L.A when we go. I had a feeling you were going to be worried about it the whole time.”

“I was. Thanks for thinking of me.” Jisoo said a bit shy but Jeonghan didn't think much about it.

“Of course~!” Jeonghan grinned. “You can always count on me!” Jisoo was happy to have a friend like Jeonghan. He just wished he wouldn’t feel so flustered around him sometimes, because it made him feel conflicted and confused. I really need to figure this out.

Doubly update in one week, and they’re both really long chapters, too~!

I would like to stay active and keep posting but it’s been difficult and I’ve been giving myself a difficult time with everything but hopefully I’ll get through it. Halloween is coming up real soon and I really wanna post Halloween themed stuff so, I gotta get my together LOL

It’s just so easy to be lazy these days when I’ve got nothing to do and while everyone else is in school and not able to talk… therapy has been delayed and so my social interaction has plumet.

Chapter 146: Welcome back back

Ohhhhhhh all the tea is dropping one by one. Soo Min if your pregnant, it’s going to be great news and protective Wonwoon + Jihoon 😎😎 Jeonghan might be toasted lol Ren is going to be that “BIG DEAL”

The parents need to stop acting up and forgive one another. Be happy for the sake of your kids and rekindle with all the kids plus Rina.

Chapter 142: 😢 Our deepest sympathy to the Jeons of course.
As far as the continuation I think it would be ok since you will be updating a few months from now. Right now it would seem a little weird, but I don't think it will be bad later. Go with your heart though.
