Chapter 22

CLOSER [HIATUS]

“Soo Min?” Min Ji’s voice called out to Soo Min standing at the girl’s bathroom sink down the hall from their classroom. She had excused herself during lecture to use the restroom but after she got there, she started to think about the small fight she had with her boyfriend earlier and the emotions just attacked her out of nowhere.

“Oh!” Soo Min wiped her tears quickly and turned to face her friend. “Sorry, did Mr. Yeo ask where I was or something?”

“No. But you were gone for awhile so I thought to come check on you. Class is over now.” Min Ji said and approached her classmate with a worried expression. “Are you okay? Did something happen?”

“I’ll be fine, don’t worry.” Soo Min assured her with a forced smile.

“Are you sure?” Of course her friend wanted to make sure she would be okay. Soo Min just nodded and grabbed another paper towel to wipe her tears that just wouldn’t seem to stop. “Can I at least give you a hug?” Min Ji asked in a small sad voice and it made Soo Min chuckle.

“You’re so cute. Sure.” That should help, right? Soo Min didn’t have a lot of girl friends, but Min Ji was one that had been around since high school since her cousin Hyungwon befriended Min Ji’s older brother, Wonho. “I hope whatever it is that’s upsetting you will work out in the end.” (yo, flashbacks to my first semester in college when I was crying in the bathroom and my classmate came and comforted me TT^TT)

“Thanks.” Soo Min was able to give a better smile this time. “I feel better now.”

“Really?” Min Ji’s expression lightened up. “I’m glad! Don’t worry about what you missed in class, I got you covered! Just take it easy, okay?”

“I appreciate that, thanks. And I will, don’t worry.” Finally, her tears came to a stop.

“Here, you can borrow my sunglasses! We can just say you suddenly got a migraine during class. Go home early!”

“Alright.” Soo Min agreed to that small plan and they headed back to the classroom to get her stuff. Min Ji accompanied her down to the first floor and that’s where they parted. “See you tomorrow.” She waved before heading to the main building.

Soo Min was expecting Won Woo to be at one of the tables in the cafe areas waiting for her so they could go home, but once she got there, no one was there. She checked the time and realized some of their friends must still be in class, but Won Woo was usually here at this time. She sent him a text asking where he was, but she didn’t get a reply soon enough. I guess I should just take a walk and calm down some more. She thought after taking a deep breath. I’ll text Jihoon afterwards.

After deciding on that, she headed out the front doors and began walking.

...

“What’s wrong, Jeonghan?” A guy whined next to Jeonghan as they were seated in the lounge area of their class building. Class had ended a short while ago but Jeonghan hadn’t left yet because his friend wanted to copy his notes. He sure took his sweet time and he was annoyed now!

“Nothing.” Jeonghan said with a sigh.

“Sure doesn’t sound like nothing!” The guy pouted. “You know you can talk to me!”

“I know.” Jeonghan snickered. To think that’s why he was upset, because his girlfriend and her best friend wouldn’t talk to him when it was needed. “Are you done copying my notes?”

“Oh!” The other looked at his notebook that only had half the notes copied. “Not yet!”

“Minhyuk, c’mon, I don’t have time for this!” Jeonghan groaned and tried to get his notebook back but Minhyuk snatched it before he could. He jumped up and hid around the loveseat he was sitting in and peek at Jeonghan.

“I’ll give it back once you let me know why you’re so moody today.” Jeonghan rolled his eyes. He figured his friend was going to be like this. Minhyuk was the caring type, and you’d think he’d know when to back off but that wasn’t the case. “Are you in the rocks with your girlfriend?” When Jeonghan’s expression faltered, Minhyuk understood that he hit the bullseye. “I’m sorry.”

“No, it’s fine. It’s my fault.” Jeonghan admitted. “I was being stupid again.”

“How so?” Minhyuk asked after taking his seat again so he could listen to him. “Did you get jealous over something?”

“I saw her talking to some guy in the student store. She touched his hair and they seemed to be talking about something that made her laugh.” Jeonghan explained and couldn’t help but get jealous all over again. “Maybe I am stupidly jealous about her talking to someone I don’t know, but I’m also jealous that she rarely ever talks to me in general.”

“Really?”

“I had to find out about certain things through her parents…”

“Wow.” Minhyuk was a little surprised. He had always thought Jeonghan and Soo Min were couple goals, but he was finding out now that maybe they weren’t. “Have you tried confronting her about it?”

“I do, but she always avoids talking about it.”

“Maybe you have to be stubborn about it? Things have to get worse before they get better, right?”

“That’s right.” Jeonghan nodded and now that he talked to his friend about it, he was feeling a bit better. Minhyuk seemed to always know what to say when Jeonghan was frustrated. “Thanks.”

“No problem!” The guy smiled brightly. “So, can I finally meet her-”

“No.”

“Awh, why not!” Minhyuk complained.

Jeonghan had never introduced Minhyuk to his girlfriend because one, he was clearly jealous about all of Soo Min’s male friends, he didn’t want her having another one. And two, he was worried about how well they’d get along. I’m so selfish. He thought to himself with guilt. “Not yet. Someday.” He managed to say.

“Fine. I understand. When you’re ready.” Minhyuk agreed. Because he knew it was hard for Jeonghan. That seemed to be the case with one of his ex girlfriends, she had so many guy friends and the more guy friends she got, the high chance it gave her to cheat on him. And what happened? She cheated on him with one of her guy friends. That was something that always stuck in the back of Jeonghan’s mind since then.

Even if he knew Soo Min was nothing like his ex girlfriends, it was just something he couldn’t help but think when it came to her talking to other guys and gaining new guy friends. At least Mingyu was his friend first before Soo Min made friends with him. “If I got a girlfriend, could I meet her then?” Minhyuk snapped him out of his thoughts.

“Maybe.” Jeonghan gave a small laugh. That sounded ridiculous but then again, at least the guy would be too distracted to bother Jeonghan most of the time.

“I’ll send out a flyer as soon as I can!” Minhyuk gave another bright smile.

“That’s not how you get a girlfriend!” Jeonghan scolded him with a small smack over the back of his head. “You have to buy her a box of Choco Pies.” He corrected.

...

Mingyu was really worried about Won Woo and headed straight over to the WooMin duo’s shared apartment to check on him, but when he got there, no one was home. He figured Soo Min was still on campus, but he knew Won Woo didn’t go back to campus after leaving the restaurant earlier. Call him crazy, but he just had that gut feeling that Won Woo had skipped his second class of the day because he was in a bad mood. I would have done the same, possibly. He wouldn’t blame him and thought it would be better that he took time to calm down and collect himself.

Jeonghan had calmed down much quicker before they got back to campus, and that was good. Mingyu promised he’d let the older know how Won Woo was doing when he checks on him, but he wondered when that would be if the guy wasn’t even home? “Mingyu?” Speak of the devil, Won Woo just came home.

Mingyu quickly stood up from his spot on the floor and looked at Won Woo who looked like he had been crying at least two rivers by the look of his tear stained cheeks and red swollen eyes. It broke Mingyu’s heart to see him like that. He felt bad, really bad. Did he cry all by himself? Just the mere thought almost made him cry. “Look, if you’re here to talk, I don’t want to. I’m not doing that again.” Won Woo said softly with a small sniffle. “I did enough talking for today-”

“No. That’s not why I’m here.” Mingyu shook his head and took a few steps CLOSER. “I just came to see if you were alright.”

“Well, I’m never alright, so don’t bother asking again.” Won Woo said a bit harsh and averted his eyes to the ground. His vision started to blur again and he sighed. There it goes again, those stupid emotions. He thought.

“Won Woo…”

“I rarely cry.” Won Woo blurted out in a weak voice. “I don’t cry a lot. I never had to cry when it was just me and Soo Min.” He added and never looked up. “We understood each other and there was no need to cry. We hardly fight… we hardly ever get angry at each other. We were always happy and content with just each other’s company, we didn’t need anyone else. But then others were thrown into the mix and now those negative emotions are becoming more common everyday. I don’t like it.” A few tears started to roll down Won Woo’s cheeks and he wiped them away with the back of his hand and tried to keep calm. “Things were better when I was alone. At least I could never hurt myself like the way others hurt me.”

“You’re hurting yourself when you think like that!” Mingyu couldn’t help but almost shout at him so he could get his attention, so Won Woo would stop and listen to him. “If you completely close yourself off from everyone around you, you’re really hurting yourself by not allowing you to live your life to the fullest. Are you trying to say you don’t deserve to be happy, because you do. Being alone won’t make you happy.” He took a step CLOSER and grabbed Won Woo by his shoulders and shook him a bit which made him look up with those teary eyes. “Not only are you hurting yourself, you’re hurting the ones who care about you when you think like that. All of your friends, even me, have good intentions for you. We want you to be happy, everyone wants everyone to be happy, but you can’t be happy without being sad sometimes. Even though it and you hate it, it’s a part of life. You can’t just decide being alone will prevent all of that, it’s not going to. You’re not going to be happy when you’re alone!”

All Won Woo could do was just listen to Mingyu while his tears fell. He’s right. And in that moment, Won Woo fell for Mingyu just a little bit more. He felt like complete earlier after saying all of those things to Jeonghan, and he felt like he was the worst person on the planet, unworthy of having friends or any kind of love because of his cruel attitude. But here Mingyu was, trying to knock some sense into him and trying to let him know that it was okay. And it was all because… he loves me, right?

“Are you listening to me?” Mingyu frowned when he noticed Won Woo just staring at him. “Won Woo?!”

“I heard you.” Won Woo snapped out of it and shrugged Mingyu’s hands off his shoulder before taking a step back and wiped away his tears again. “I understand now. I was wrong… I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay.” Mingyu assured him with a weak smile. “We all have moments like those, believe me. And I’m sorry for manhandling you so suddenly, I just wanted you to hear what I had to say.”

“It’s fine. Thanks for taking the time to check on me. I’ll try to remember what you said from now on. I never thought about it like that before.”

“Good. You deserve to be happy, Won Woo. You’re sad now, but you will be happy after this, I promise.” Mingyu gave him a stronger smile this time. “Because I’m taking you to the arcade now. We’ll eat cheeseburgers again and focus on being positive for the rest of the day, alright?” He held a hand out to Won Woo who looked stunned.

Despite the headache he was getting from crying so much today, he managed a small smile and nodded before placing his hand into Mingyu’s. He was expecting Mingyu to lead him to the car, but was surprised when Mingyu pulled him into a hug instead. Before, Won Woo would have gotten embarrassed and ask why he was doing that, but it was clear why and he didn’t mind, he was actually happy… because Mingyu’s hugs seemed to make him feel better. Even if it didn’t happen often. He knew friends hug each other, there was nothing to get flustered over, but when Mingyu lingered a bit longer this time, he did start to get a little flustered.

“Okay, let’s go!” Mingyu quickly parted from him and gave a sheepish laugh before he grabbed his bag and led Won Woo to the car by the hand. “You can drive, right?”

“Yeah, I’ll be okay.” Won Woo nodded and pulled out the keys to unlock the car. The two got in and then they were on the road, their destination, the mall.

...

Soo Min had been walking for a while now, she couldn’t remember exactly when she left the campus, but she could safely say it had been at least an hour. She just walked around the city and window shopped for a bit until she noticed some strange people following her. She wasn’t sure why they were following her but after awhile she started to get nervous. A few times she heard a camera go off and she turn around and see them hide. What are they doing? A part of her wanted to walk over and confront them, but they looked scary to her!

She escaped into a store when they weren’t looking and decided maybe she should call someone to come get her. Just as she was about to do so, she passed by a magazine stand and one in particular caught her eye. It was one of the tabloids judging by the large font and paparazzi pictures. She snickered at it and rolled her eyes because she knew everything in the tabloids was fake and stupid rumors just to cause drama. But she was tempted to see what kind of nonsense was going on lately.

Flipping through some of the pages, she chuckled to herself at how some of the rumors sounded and couldn’t believe people actually wasted their time publishing something like that, or people who wasted their time reading it… like her. Well, that was stupid. She pouted and was about to put the magazine back before something caught her eye. The name Ren was in bold and there was a picture of him. So, he’s like some sort of famous figure? She read over the article and learned a couple of things. Firstly, he was the son of the popular fashion designer in Seoul. I suppose that’s enough to make him famous? Secondly, he models as well. Oh, well that would definitely make you famous. Because her own cousin was a well known model himself!

The article was mostly talking about how Ren was following in his mother’s footsteps and pursuing to become a fashion designer himself. They listed what college he was attending and other kinds of information and Soo Min wondered if that was why she was being followed by those strange guys. Are they paparazzi? She thought and put the magazine away. Did they mistake me as him? At that moment, she saw her reflection in the display case nearby. Min Ji’s glasses she borrowed sure gave off that celebrity look! Oh… maybe that’s why?

She figured she could just tell them they got the wrong person when she sees them again. By now, she felt like they were long gone. When she exited the shop, she didn’t see them anymore and sighed with relief. She liked taking pictures, but she didn’t like people taking pictures of her.

A few minutes later, she turned around the corner and there were those two guys from earlier with their cameras ready. Damn!

“Excuse me.” She suddenly heard a guy say and she was blocked from the two cameras. “No pictures today, please leave.” He was big as in built and Soo Min was stunned until she saw his face. His face… didn’t seem to match his body! He had that kind of baby face, and his smile was adorable to her! “Let’s go.” He said and guided Soo Min away.

“Uh…” Soo Min barely got out after they turned around the corner.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were leaving the campus early, Ren?” The guy asked worriedly before he paused and took in how short “Ren” was in front of him today. “Did you get shorter?”

“I’m not Ren!” Soo Min corrected. She watched his eyes go huge, almost like they were about to pop out of his head.

“I’m so sorry!” He apologized and bowed several times. “I thought you were someone else!”

“It’s okay.” She assured him. “I know who you are talking about. But who are you?” She was quite curious about how he handled the paparazzi.

“Ah, I’m Baekho, a friend of Ren’s and his bodyguard.” He gave her a bright smile. “That’s why I dragged you away, he doesn’t always like his pictures taken.”

“I see.”

“I’m sorry for thinking you were him, but as you might know, he is pretty androgynous. Your long black hair and sunglasses just made me think you were him.” He was saying until she took those sunglasses off and he froze. She looked strikingly similar to the model he was just talking about and had to blink a few times to see if he was just imagining it. “I’m sorry, are you alright, miss?”

“What do you mean?” She frowned before she remembered that her eyes must still looked irritated from crying so much earlier. “I’m fine, don’t worry~!” She assured him with a weak smile and put the shades back on. “But, can you let Ren know I’d like to meet with him soon… there’s something I’m curious about.” She added before pulling her school bag off and opened it to get something out to write on. She proceeded to write down her number and what times she was available on campus since she found out he went to the same campus as hers.

“I’ll be sure to give this to him the next time I see him!” Baekho gave another bright smile. “For now, may I you to your next destination? I’m worried that other paparazzi might mistake you as Ren again and it’d help if you let me drive you to where you need to be. Is that okay?”

“Sure.” She nodded. This worked out better since she didn’t have her car and she was getting tired from walking so much. “Thank you.”

With that, they headed to the white car down the street. Baekho opened the back seat door for her and honestly, she was really starting to feel like a celebrity now! “Where to, miss?” He asked once he was in the driver seat. She gave him the directions to Jeonghan’s shared apartment and they were off. When they got there, he asked if she lived there and she honestly answered that it was her boyfriend’s apartment.

“Ah, I understand now. That must be where Ren snuck off to!” He said to himself with a small laugh, he didn’t think to look for Ren at his boyfriend’s place. “I’m glad I bumped into you, at least I know where to look for him now! Thank you!”

“No problem.” She gave him a small smile while unbuckling her seatbelt and Baekho got out to open the door for her once more. “Thanks.”

“Have a good evening, miss…?” He said and implied that he wanted to know how he should call her.

“Uh, Lady GaGa.” She chuckled. She remembered earlier when she told Aron her name was Lady GaGa, she thought to stick to that!

“Ah, Miss GaGa. It was nice meeting you, have a good evening!” He said kindly and got back into his car before driving off. That was really interesting. She thought before turning to head up to Jeonghan’s shared apartment.

“I can’t believe I lost again.” Mingyu pouted after the small game of basketball hoops was over. Won Woo had won by a landslide yet again.

“Are you just letting me win?” Won Woo said with a small laugh.

“No! I’m really trying!” Mingyu whined. “I guess I can’t be great at everything…”

“True. We all at something.” Won Woo pointed out. He was reminded of the situation between him and Jeonghan and snickered on the inside. I at talking.

“But we can always improve it, right?” Mingyu said with a small smile. “I didn’t think I could get a perfect score on that math test, but I proved I could even though I at it.”

“Yeah… exactly.” Won Woo’s smile grew a little more after hearing that. I’ll improve, too. It’s just going to take time is all.

“We have a load of tickets again, shall we go collect a prize?” Mingyu suggested after organizing the long strips of tickets during their small talk.

“Yeah.” Won Woo nodded and they headed over to the counter and looked at all the things they could get. Last time he got something for Soo Min, but this time…

“Go ahead and pick something!” Mingyu said happily. “If there’s nothing you want, then maybe you can pick something for Jeonghan, as an apology gift?”

“Okay.” Won Woo was just about to think of that, but Mingyu beat him to it! He scanned the prizes for a few minutes before he spotted a cute giraffe plush. He recalled that time in high school when Jeonghan did a giraffe impersonation during one of their group hangouts and everyone about died of laughter. It was a happy memory he had of him and he decided he wanted to focus on more of the happy memories and less on the negative ones. “The giraffe.” Won Woo pointed and Mingyu nodded before gaining the clerk’s attention.

“Is there a reason why you chose that?” Mingyu asked once they were leaving the arcade. They decided that was enough fun for the day and maybe it was time to go home, even thought they didn’t want to cut their fun short.

“Well, there was this time in high school when…” Won Woo told Mingyu the memory and the younger was so glad to see Won Woo smiling again. “This just reminded me of it.”

“That’s cute.” Mingyu cooed and saw Won Woo get flustered from that. “I’m glad you’re feeling better now. I know talking about stuff can be hard, but once it’s out of the way, things are better. You’ll see once you meet with Jeonghan again.”

“I really hope so.” Won Woo said and hugged the plush close to his chest. “Thanks for bringing me out like this. I was going to say no at first but I’m glad I didn’t.”

“No problem, anytime!” Mingyu gave a cute smile. “If you ever need to get out of the apartment to get your mind off of something, don’t hesitate to call me!”

“I’ll remember that.” Won Woo was happy. He was really happy now.

“Good. Should I walk you home?”

“I brought the car-”

“Right, I forgot!” Mingyu said with an embarrassed laugh. “Then… could you give me a lift home?”

“Sure.” Won Woo smiled.

“Here you are!”

“AH~! Baekho! What the hell?!” Ren almost shouted and covered his exposed chest with his arms after sitting up. His boyfriend Minhyun also sat up with a small laugh and leaned down to pick up Ren’s shirt that had been tossed down moments ago. They were currently on the couch having a heated makeout session in Minhyun’s living room before Baekho barged in and ruined it!

“Sorry!” Baekho covered his eyes with his left hand but pointed with his right. “I understand you like to spend quality time with your boyfriend, but you can’t run off and not tell me! How else am I supposed to protect you if I don’t know where you are!”

“I’m fine if I’m with Minhyun, relax!” Ren pouted after putting his shirt back on.

“This is the fifth time, one more and I’ll have to tell your mother.” Baekho tried to say in a warning tone, but his flustered state didn’t help at all.

“You won’t tell on me!” Ren laughed. “You wouldn’t go against me! I’m not afraid of you!”

“Ren, just at least let him know next time. He’s just looking out for you.” Minhyun spoke up. It wasn’t like Ren would get in trouble for sneaking off to his boyfriend’s place, it was just the idea of not knowing where he was at times. If his mother found out that it happened often, she’d probably fire Baekho for not doing his job accurately and higher better security and Ren’s freedom would almost be nonexistent.

“But that’s no fun. It makes it less exciting!” Ren complained before Baekho came to the couch to speak to Ren.

“I didn’t want to do this, but… you leave me with no choice.” Baekho said with a frown.

“What?” Ren snickered before his expression faltered and he quickly hid behind his boyfriend for safety. “Okay! Okay! I get it!” He exclaimed. “I won’t do it again!” He whimpered and Minhyun laughed at how one serious and intense look from Baekho was enough to get Ren shaking in his boots.

“Why were you holding back all this time, you should have done that sooner!” Minhyun said and heard his boyfriend gasp behind him.

“It’s for your own good, Ren. I promised to protect you when your mother appointed me as your bodyguard. Please don’t make it difficult. You’re my friend and I respect your desire to be with your boyfriend, but a quick text would suffice in letting me know where you are.”

“Got it! You can stop being so serious now! It’s freaking me out!” Ren barely said over Minhyun’s shoulder. “You know where I am now, so you can go!”

“Right. Thank you for listening.” Baekho smiled and it was like he was a whole different person now from a few seconds ago! Minhyun was impressed like always. “But before I leave, Miss Lady GaGa requested to meet with you and left some information on this note-”

“What?! Lady GaGa?!” Ren about screamed and snatched the note from his friend and looked at the small writing on it. “Damn!” He collapsed on the floor like a fool. “I thought you meant the real Lady GaGa!”

“Sorry!’ Baekho apologized with a small laugh alongside Minhyun. Their poor friend was a little too obsessed with his Mother Monster.

“That must be the same Lady GaGa from earlier on campus.” Minhyun pointed out and that got Ren to snap out of his sulking and he looked over the note again. There was a number and a small comment saying “I’m usually in the cafe area right before noon every day.” He turned the note around to see if there was anymore writing and looked up at Baekho. “Is she a fan or something?”

“I’m not sure, but the paparazzi mistook her as you earlier and was taking pictures. I stepped in because I really thought she was you.”

“Interesting.” Minhyun hummed while looking between the two. “You should really look into what Aron was saying earlier.”

“Right.” Ren nodded in agreement. So, even the paparazzi thinks we look alike.

“I’ll get going now so you can get back to your love making.” Baekho said in a cheery tone before turning to leave. Ren’s face turned bright red and Minhyun just laughed. How could they do any of that now, the mood was ruined already! And he was shocked that their pure and innocent baby faced Baekho would say such a thing!

“Who was that?” Ren asked.

“The Fierce White Tiger.” Minhyun smiled. “Baby Baekho grew up.”

“Damn.” Ren pinched the bridge of his nose.

“Are you going out?” Jeonghan asked Seungcheol who was putting his jacket on at the front door. Jeonghan had finally gone home after Minhyuk finished copying his notes a short while ago. He hadn’t eaten yet and was going to ask Seungcheol what they were going to have for dinner, but the guy was already leaving!

“Uh, yeah. There's something I have to do, so I'll be back later.” Seungcheol said and hoped he didn't sound suspicious. He had gotten a text from Jihoon about needing some advice on a piece he was working on. He didn't waste any time on getting ready to head over..

When he opened the door to head out, he stumbled back a bit from being startled and Jeonghan noticed that. He got up to come see what was going on and he saw Soo Min standing there with her arm up in the air, ready to knock.

“You scared me!” Seungcheol said while clutching his racing heart.

“Sorry~!” She apologize and stepped in.

“That’s okay, don’t worry about it. I was just leaving so… I’ll let you two talk.” Seungcheol said after giving her a gentle pat on her back before heading out the door and shutting it.

Soo Min stood at the door for a moment and it was quiet between the two as they looked at each other from across the room. “I'm sorry for earlier.” She said softly a moment later.

“It's okay. And I'm sorry for getting jealous and pestering you.”

“It's fine… I should have listened to you and talked with you when you wanted to talk. But you know that kind of thing is hard for me. I'll do better in the future, though.”

“I know.” He said with a small frown. “I should be more patient.”

“I’m sorry.” She apologized again and let her head drop. She felt so bad now.

Jeonghan didn’t say anything and instead headed over to stand in front of her. He reached out and took her hand into his like he did earlier and this time she didn’t swipe her hand away. He held her hand for a few minutes before she eventually looked up at him and saw him give her a soft smile before he leaned down to give her a small kiss to the lips. When he pulled back, he could see her mood lighten up a bit. When words didn’t work, actions did. He pulled her into a tight hug and she wrapped her arms around him to return that hug. They stayed like that for a few minutes before he was the first to part from her and started to lead her to his bedroom.

“W-Wait!” She pulled back a bit. Her face was slightly red when he looked back at her with a confused look. “Ladies first, right?” She walked in front of him and was now leading him to his bedroom.

After stepping into his room, Jeonghan shut the door before he joined his girlfriend on his bed and proceeded to cuddle her until they both complained they were hungry. (you thought they were about to get down and dirty, sike~! Lol jk)

“Let's order pizza?” She asked.

“Sure.” He agreed and pulled his phone out of his pocket to make the Internet order. It was great having apps to order food, no speaking to clerks who end up getting the order wrong. While he was making their order, Soo Min sat up and faced him with half a smile and half a dejected look on her face. “What's the matter?” He glanced at her before continuing with the order.

“Are you still mad at Won Woo?” She asked in a sad tone. “And are you mad at Jihoon for pulling me away?”

“No… it was better that I cooled off instead of causing a scene.” He admitted after he finished the order and paid for it. “I must admit, I suppose I am a little angry by the fact you and Won Woo open up so easily to Mingyu, but not me. I guess that's where my feelings got in the way. I thought it would be me, I thought I would be the one, not someone you just met a few weeks ago.”

“Sorry… I didn't notice I was doing that.” She apologized and looked away, she felt guilty. “I suppose it’s easier to talk to people you don't really know, but soon Mingyu won't be a stranger.”

“Why can't you talk to me? I just want to know so I can understand.” He asked and took her hand into his again.

“I don't know, it's just a scary thing. I'm kind of nervous when you get serious because I'm so used to you being funny and nice. I guess I just haven't seen that side of you enough and so I get freaked out when that side of you shows up when you want to talk. I must be the strangest girlfriend you've ever had, huh?” She gave a nervous laugh and he had a sad smile on his lips.

“I didn't know that was how you felt. I'm sorry.”

“You don't have to be sorry, I'm the one who is sorry. I'm sorry that I haven't grown up or become mature like I'm supposed to be. I seem to act like a scared little girl in all these adult situations.”

“That's okay, I know you can work on that.” He assured her with a kind smile and tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear. “I might not seem patient sometimes, but I am.”

“I'm not sure how you do it.” She frowned. She knew she made him wait for a lot of things since their relationship started three years ago. First it was the affection, then the intimacy and now the talking and opening up to him.

“Me either, but it doesn't matter. I'm just happy that we're together. That's all that matters to me, honestly.” He said before pulling her into his side for a hug. She cuddled close to him because she didn't know what to say other than she felt the same way.

It was a sweet moment until he parted from her so he could give her a loving kiss. It lasted a few minutes until he pulled away and gently pushed her back on his bed before swinging his leg over to straddle her hips. She always got shocked when he did that and he always thought it was cute. He went for her neck first and placed several kisses to it. By the time he was finished marking her, the doorbell went off. “Damn it.” He had forgotten about the pizza. “Don’t move.” He said before leaving to answer the door.

Soo Min would have obeyed, but she immediately rolled over to hide behind his bed, since his bed was positioned horizontally from the doorway. When he got back with the pizza, he noticed her missing and laughed when he saw her peeking at him from the other side of his bed. “You moved.” He said after sitting on his bed and opened the box. “I guess no pizza for you.”

“No!” She said like a sad child.

“Then get back over here.” He patted the spot next to him. “I won’t do anything, I promise.” He added.

“It’s not like that.” She frowned before crawling over to sit next to him and he handed her a slice of pizza on a napkin.

“That’s okay,” He assured her. “I’m just teasing you.”.

“Jerk” She couldn’t help but smile at the look he gave her with a wink. She also winked back at him and they both laughed before eating the whole pizza together.

After dropping Mingyu off at his place, Won Woo drove to Jeonghan’s place so he could apologize to his friend and give him the giraffe plush. He hadn’t checked his phone for awhile and he honestly didn’t want to. It kind of worried him, so he thought to just go for it before he could back out. If Jeonghan wasn’t home, he’d text him later.

It’s fine. You can do this. Won Woo thought to himself before ringing the doorbell. He waited for a moment and just as he was about to turn to leave, since it felt like forever to him despite it being only a moment, the door opened. “Oh… it’s you.” Jeonghan said quietly. He didn’t look excited to see him, but that was understandable. But he didn’t look angry or like he wanted Won Woo gone, he looked more sad and guilty.

“Hey.” Won Woo managed to say before holding up the gift. “I came to apologize.”

Now Jeonghan looked surprised. He knew Won Woo was capable of apologizing but he just didn’t expect it so soon like this. “T-Thanks. I forgive you. And I’m also sorry, Won Woo. I didn’t know that was how you felt all this time. I’ll try to do better so you don’t feel like that anymore.”

“Right.” Won Woo looked away because he felt those annoying emotions again.

“Despite that wasn’t how I thought us talking would go, I’m happy that you finally said something. Though it made me very sad and guilty… I feel like I understand you a little better now.” Won Woo looked up when he heard those words. “I hope we can move on from this and let our bond grow stronger on its own accord, I won’t push it anymore.”

“...” Won Woo wasn’t sure what to say other than Thanks.

“Can I have a hug?” Jeonghan thought to ask just this once, because it looked like Won Woo was about to break down in tears. Won Woo didn’t say anything but took a step forward with his arms open for the hug. Jeonghan happily pulled him into a tight one and hoped it would let the younger know that he really had no ill intent towards him. He wanted Won Woo to know that he really cared for him just as much as Soo Min did, too! “Thanks, for protecting her. I’m really glad she wasn’t alone all those years, I’m glad you had each other.” At those words, Won Woo couldn’t help but cry again. It had been an emotional day.

Soo Min had returned from using the bathroom and she saw the two at the door, hugging. She almost squealed out loud but managed to keep it together. She could quickly tell what was going on and it made her tear up. They’re getting along, finally~! Not like they didn’t before, but this was a rare sight to see! The sloth and giraffe were hugging!

When the two had parted and Jeonghan invited him inside, she decided to pretend she had been in the bathroom the whole time and greeted Won Woo. She didn’t bother asking why he had looked like he had been crying, it was clear why and it looked like he didn’t want to be asked about it anyway. They had sat down on the couch together and talked about the gift Won Woo gave to Jeonghan.

oV3kxG-YzMmqD0kkKL1RJcoupMmHiuFgqfTmKQBNgEgqTTQHWRIdQAx9sDQHoWK-0LdxNBK8cPTYbGqPntDJEAGXrS6qpEuds0k4OT6IjZss3ecVy3PiK-McHGCeY3lF6lwK6kuo

The memory of Jeonghan the giraffe surfaced and Jeonghan groaned in embarrassment while the duo laughed at the memory. Despite being embarrassed, he was glad it was something that could give them a laugh. He was hoping things would go smoothly after this.

...

“You saw it, didn’t you?” Won Woo muttered after the returned home.

“Saw what?” She asked after he shut the door.

“Nevermind. Forget about it.” Won Woo shook his head before heading to the couch to sit down. He felt exhausted now after such a long day. ‘You’re going to sleep early tonight, right?”

“Maybe.” She shrugged and laughed at the disapproving look he gave her. “Yes. I will.”

“Good.” He gave a soft smile before he got up and headed to the hallway with her. “Hey…” he said before she could go into her room.

“Yeah?” She looked over to him.

“Thanks for being there for me all this time.” He said quietly with a sincere look and she smiled.

“Of course, thanks for putting up with me all these years!” Her comment made him chuckle.

“Go to sleep.” He gestured for her to go inside.

“You too!” She pouted but smiled right after. “Sweet dreams!” She added before heading into her room and shutting the door.

Won Woo was happy with how the night ended and decided to send a text to Mingyu to let him know everything was alright.

Won Woo: Things are better now. Thanks for earlier.

Because it was so late, he didn’t expect to get a reply back, but he knew he’d have one waiting for him in the morning, possibly. With that, he changed out of his clothes into his PJs and crashed on his bed the moment his body met the mattress.

Won Woo: Don’t think too much about it, okay… I was just having a bad day!

Jeonghan: Yeah, it’s in the past now, moving on!

MY HEART.

Isn’t it ironic of how this chapter went?

SVT comeback is Don’t Wanna Cry and the “Alone” Trailers.

Won Woo cried a lot and said he was better off Alone

But Mingyu says All of them want him happy!

I underlined some of the key words that had to do with the comeback and the trailers.

Like a camera going off, Jeonghan's trailer of him taking a picture.

Soo Min walking around, Vernon walking around in his teaser x.x

See her reflection in the display, Mingyu's creepy trailer with the mirror XD

Yup. I’m Totally Psychic. (NOT SERIOUS, CHILL XD)

I didn’t even once think about the comeback when writing all of that, it was already planned in my head since I started editing, and it just so happened that everything turned out this way.

I’m scared of my own self now. JK.
WHAT ELSE AM I GOING TO DO NEXT THAT IS A CREEPY COINCIDENCE LOL

Okay I’ll stop. Haha it’s just a mere coincidence, that’s all~!

But just fyi, I had an idea of Jihoon getting lost on the camping trip(but I ended up changing that) and an hour later after planning it, I logged onto instagram and saw the clip of Jihoon lost in JAPAN.

I jokingly called Jeonghan Squirtle in my Jeonghan fic and then he’s posing with a Squirtle plush twice, a little while AFTER I POSTED MY STORY.

Won Woo and Jihoon seem a lot CLOSER after posting this story- JK aha~! But I totally didn’t get my inspiration from that, I did it before they did it! HAHA

Just so many coincidences happen and it freaks me out sometimes x.x

Decided for WonHan to have a feud and then OFD in Japan, Won Woo and Jeonghan have a mini feud on the first episode. Like….

I didn’t even know about this gif of Won Woo until after I wrote about their relationship.

My psychic senses tingle and I don’t even notice it aha

As far as the continuation I think it would be ok since you will be updating a few months from now. Right now it would seem a little weird, but I don't think it will be bad later. Go with your heart though.
