Chapter 20

CLOSER [HIATUS]

“How’s school?” Jihoon’s father asked during dinner to his son and his friends. “Anything exciting going on?”

“Not really.” Jihoon muttered before taking another bite of his food. He looked to his friends to see if they had anything to say. Seungcheol shook his head and Soo Min was about to shake her head but Jihoon beat her to it. “She’s been doing lifelike portraits now, go on, tell them about that.” He could see her get embarrassed now that the attention was on her, but he didn’t do it to be mean, he had thought she would like to talk about it with them.

“Really? Is it fun?” His mother asked, she looked clearly interested.

“It’s relaxing.” Soo Min nodded. “Blending the colors is the fun part when you get to see the face take its shape.”

“You should timelapse the next one you do so we can see it come to life! I’d definitely would like to see it.” Jihoon’s father said with a huge smile.

“Sure, I’ll remember to do that.” Soo Min nodded before looking to Jihoon like she didn’t know what to say next. He seemed confused on why she seemed so quiet, usually she talked a lot in front of his parents. But then he remembered about the information she learned about one of her parents having an affair. Maybe she was a little uncomfortable talking to them since they obviously knew something about it but wouldn’t say.

Seungcheol took notice of the two friends struggling with what to say next and he decided to save the day by starting a topic that they all could talk about. The talk didn’t last too long when they were finished with their dinner and dessert was soon brought out. This was the best part of dinner in Soo Min’s opinion and it was clear when her expression lit up at the sight of the fancy triple chocolate cake was set on the table. Jihoon jokingly told her to control herself and his parents laughed. His mother was so sweet and gave her a slice bigger than the others when they weren’t looking.

“It was nice having dinner with you kids, it’s been awhile!” Jihoon’s father said when they were officially done at the table. “I hope to see you again soon, don’t be a stranger.” He chuckled while getting up from his seat. “I got some work to do in my office, so I’ll see you around!” He added with a wave.

“Bye Mr. Lee.” Seungcheol waved, Soo Min also waved before their attention went to Jihoon’s mother.

“You three can go, I’ve got this.” She smiled at them, but Soo Min shook her head and insisted that she would help clean up. “You’re such a good girl!” The older woman cooed and it brought a smile to the other two’s faces. Because they knew she wasn’t as helpful in her own apartment even on a good day!

“We’ll be in my studio.” Jihoon mentioned after getting up from his seat. “Have fun.” He gave a thumbs up to Soo Min who also gave him a thumbs up back. With that, Seungcheol and Jihoon left the room and that left Soo Min alone with Jihoon’s mother.

“Thanks for helping me, dear.” She said when they got into the kitchen to wash the dishes. Soo Min scrubbed the dishes with soap and a sponge while the older woman rinsed them off and put them in the dish rack to dry. “You’re so good at this, I’ve been so busy with work that I’ve almost forgotten how to do it.” She chuckled.

“Well, I do have to keep the kitchen clean at my apartment or else Won Woo would chop my head off for not keeping up my part of the cleaning.” Soo Min said with a chuckle of her own.

“Right, how is Won Woo doing? I haven’t seen him for a while now.”

“He’s doing fine. We actually made some new friends recently so he’s been socializing a bit more.”

“Really? That’s so great to hear!” Jihoon’s mother sounded ecstatic to hear that and it brought a smile to Soo Min’s face. She and the older woman had that in common sometimes. They would get excited about Won Woo making new friends.

“Yeah, he’s been happier these days, too.” Soo Min added. “It’s too bad his parents aren’t around to see it.” There was a bitter tone in her voice and that surprised the older.

“Yes, it’s a shame.” She had to agree with the girl. She also found Won Woo’s parents sudden departure and lack of presence disappointing. And she wished she could let them in on why it happened because she could tell the children had a bad image of them now that they are older.

Silence grew between them and the atmosphere seemed to drop. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to sound so negative. I just feel bad for him.” Soo Min apologized.

“I know, it’s okay, sweetie.” Jihoon’s mother assured her and reached over to give a few gently to her hair. That word suddenly reminded Soo Min of that guy from the camp, Ren. When he called her sweetie. She didn’t want to assume things or stereotype but he seemed like such a friendly character, it was interesting. She wondered if he said that a lot to other people, but he seemed beyond concerned when that dog incident happen, more than would a normal stranger would have reacted. She had the urge to ask Jihoon’s mother about it or at least tell her about the encounters she’s had with the guy, though, she knew she probably wouldn’t get much out of the woman. “Why don’t you go join Jihoon and Seungcheol. I’ll take care of the rest, okay?”

“Alright. Thanks!” Soo Min managed to give her a smile because she didn’t want her feeling bad about the situation. She gave her a small wave before skipping off to Jihoon’s studio down the hallway. She knocked on the door so she wouldn’t spook her friends by just barging in, even thought that just made it more fun.

“What’s the password?” She heard Jihoon say behind the door.

“Jihoon still sleeps with a teddy bear!” She called into the door with a small laugh. The door swung open and revealed her angry friend.

“I do not!” He exclaimed.

...

“Hmm?” Mingyu hummed when he had noticed Won Woo glancing at him a couple of times in his peripheral vision. “What is it?” He asked.

“Nothing.” Won Woo shook his head and gave a small sigh. The dinner they were having was still going since there were a lot of mouths to feed and Mingyu’s friends had a big appetite.

“Do you want another order of fries or something?”

“I’m full.” Won Woo shook his head again before they heard their friends bust into laughter about something hilarious Soonyoung had said. Jeonghan and Chan were pretty occupied with them on their side of the table while Mingyu and Won Woo had moved to the end so they could eat peacefully. Everyone knew how Won Woo wasn’t much of a social person, so they left Mingyu to take care of him that way Won Woo would feel more comfortable.

“Are they being too loud?” Mingyu asked and sounded a bit worried now. Won Woo looked bothered.

“No.” The older sighed.

“... should I keep asking questions until I get it right, or am I being annoying?”

Won Woo looked up at him and gave a small chuckle at that question. “It’s fine.”

“Is it about the bracelet?”

“I guess.” He was kind of right. He was still feeling down about losing his bracelet, but he was also bothered by other things… like the things that happened between him and Jeonghan on the camping trip and when Jeonghan also tried to talk to him earlier but he wouldn’t say anything. He could tell on the way to meet up with Mingyu and the others that Jeonghan was bothered since he sat in the backseat with Chan and stared out the window in silence the whole time. It definitely has to do with me.

“I’m sorry, I guess I wouldn’t know how you’re feeling since I never lost something like that before.” Mingyu frowned and tried to think of ways to cheer him up. But could he really?

“Same. I don’t know what to do, honestly. I just wished it didn’t happen.” Won Woo said quietly and stared down at his empty plate on the table. Besides the chatter of their friends nearby, it got silent between the two.

“Do you want to go for a walk?” Mingyu suggested a moment later. “Let’s get some fresh air?”

“Sure.” Won Woo nodded in agreement and they both got up to head outside. Mingyu sent a quick text to Soonyoung about why they had left the table and the older assured that he’d let the rest know. There was a chance they probably wouldn’t be returning and it was fine since they’ve already paid for their meals before eating.

“Do you want to talk, or do you just want to just relax and enjoy the walk?” Mingyu asked once they were away from the restaurant.

“Why are you asking?” Won Woo said with a slight frown.

“I just want to make sure that you’re comfortable, that’s all.” Mingyu said with a small nervous smile. “Sometimes silence is good.”

“Right.” Won Woo nodded and Mingyu took that as his answer, so they walked in that comfortable silence for a bit until they found a place to sit down and rest. They weren’t too far from the restaurant and they still had time until everyone was ready to leave thanks to the texts Soonyoung sent Mingyu while they were out. “Did I say something weird yesterday when we were in the woods?” Won Woo broke the silence eventually.

“What do you mean?”

“My memory is a bit foggy when I think back to when we were waiting for the rain to die down. I feel like I said something strange before your friends showed up.”

“Oh.” Mingyu knew what he was talking about and he supposed Won Woo really had been zoning out when he said all of that. It was a stressful situation so he didn’t blame him for being disoriented at the time, it was raining so much and it was cold.

“I did say something?” Won Woo frowned when he saw Mingyu’s expression.

“Yeah, but I can pretend I didn’t hear it?”

“Well, what did I say?”

“Something about wanting to experience love before you die.” Mingyu said with a cute pout. “I scolded you for making it sound like you didn’t have a lot of time left.”

“Oh…” Won Woo suddenly looked flustered when he heard that. “I didn’t think it sounded like that.”

“It’s fine, that storm was no joke, I guess you thought we were going to get hit by a lightning bolt or something!” Mingyu said dramatically and it made Won Woo laugh. “But we made it back alive, so don’t think like that anymore.”

“Right.” Won Woo nodded with that cute smile on his lips. It made Mingyu’s heart beat pick up in pace.

“I feel the same.” Mingyu said with a soft smile. “I want to experience love before the next rain storm.”

“... I don’t know if there’s going to be anymore storms anytime soon.” Won Woo stuttered before pulling his phone out to check the weather.

“Shoot, I guess I’ll have to be patient then.” Mingyu chuckled and noticed Won Woo blushing. “Then, maybe before the first snowfall?”

“Maybe…” Won Woo thought that was a reasonably time span, and for some reason he felt like Mingyu was definitely talking about them. Of course he was talking about them, it was so obviou! But all Won Woo could do was be awkward and quiet about it. I wish I could say something… He thought to himself before Mingyu got another text from Soonyoung letting him know that everyone was ready to go. Too bad he had to still take Chan and Jeonghan home or else he would have just stayed out a bit longer by himself to think.

“Just text me if you want to talk later?” Mingyu said to Won Woo before the others came out of the restaurant to come to the parking lot.

“Got it.” Won Woo nodded with a weak smile. With that, they all parted after saying goodbye to each other and then they were on their way home.

“Can't read my, can read my, no he can't read my poker face~ Can't read my, can't read my, no he can't read my poker face~” Soo Min's soft and sweet singing voice filled the opposite corner of Jihoon's studio.

Seungcheol and Jihoon were on the other side talking about Jihoon's recent works while Soo Min was occupied listening to songs on her phone to give them their space. She didn't want to leave and risk bumping into Jihoon's mother after earlier, nor did she want to go home yet. Seungcheol would be taking her home pretty soon so it was something to pass the time.

“Hand me that.” Jihoon whispered to Seungcheol while pointing to a small device on the desk nearby. The older handed it to him and he figured out what it was when Jihoon pressed a button and signaled for him to stay quiet. He was recording Soo Min's vocals.

After a moment, she had stopped singing when something distracted her on one of her social apps. “Does she do that often?” Seungcheol asked and seemed quite impressed, the most he heard from her was singing the happy birthday song with everyone else and when she’d belt out lyrics to be funny with a cracking voice.

“Sometimes.” Jihoon said with a cute smile. “Won Woo does it too.”

“Really?”

“They always think I'm listening to stuff when I have my headphones on at my computer.” The blonde explained with a small chuckle. “My sample folder is growing now.” He added and turned back to his computer after plugging in the small recorder.

Seungcheol watched him open up the device folder and copied it before he navigated to another folder located somewhere complicated that Seungcheol already forgot how to get there! Two folders with Won Woo and Soo Min's names showed up and he clicked on hers and proceeded to paste the copied audio clip there. About over 50 clips were displayed and Seungcheol seemed highly interested now.

“Won Woo doesn't sing as much as Soo Min, which is why she has so many now.” Jihoon explained while comparing the folders side by side.

“Does she know about this?”

“No.” Jihoon closed the folders before placing a finger to his lips. “Don't tell them. It's a small project I'm working on for later… I want it to be a surprise.”

“Alright, I won't say a word.” Seungcheol gave a serious nod and he could see Jihoon stare at him for a few seconds before looking away and clearing his throat. “Can I ask what the project is?”

“I'll tell you some other time, when she's not here.” Jihoon muttered while pointing with his eyes. Just then, he noticed Soo Min looking at them with narrowed eyes. “What?!”

“What are you two whispering about?”

“Nothing!” Jihoon gave a sheepish laugh before looking to Seungcheol for help.

“Yeah, it's nothing.” He added with a small stutter.

“Riiiiight.” Her stare was getting intense before her phone buzzed in her hand and she noticed the time. “I guess we should get going, right?”

“You're right, it's late. You've overstayed your welcome, get out.” Jihoon teased and got up from his seat to accompany his friends to the front door. “See you two tomorrow. Night.” He added and shut the door after the two waved goodbye.

Jihoon stood at the door for a moment and thought about how he blatantly stared at Seungcheol’s face right in front of both him and Soo Min. What was that all about? He thought before shaking it off and headed back to his studio.

Meanwhile…

“Who were you listening to earlier?” Seungcheol asked Soo Min shortly after leaving Jihoon’s parents house.

“Lady GaGa.” She answered.

“Right, I knew the song sounded familiar.”

“What do you mean sounded familiar? Was it loud enough to hear from my earbuds?” She suddenly sounded worried.

“Er, yeah.” Seungcheol nodded. He figured she was about to get embarrassed if he pointed out that she was singing out loud earlier. She wasn't bad at all. He felt like.maybe she wouldn't think she sounded great, hence being embarrassed about someone hearing her. Maybe it was something she didn't realize she was doing at the time, or well, she did but she didn't think she was being loud enough to hear it.

“Do you like Lady GaGa?” She asked innocently a moment later.

“She's interesting.” He honestly replied. “I'll have to check out more of her stuff soon.” He added with a small smile. “Any songs you want to recommend?”

“All of her songs!” She blurted out.

“Of course. I'll make time for it soon!” He chuckled at her excitement.

When they came up to a stop light, he noticed the car in front of him looked familiar.

After dropping Chan off, it was just Won Woo and Jeonghan in the car… and it was pretty silent between them, as expected. Won Woo wasn’t sure what to say to make a decent conversation with Jeonghan, and it was probably because they never really talk like that to begin with. Maybe he’s upset about that? It felt like it was clicking in his head now.

Just then, there was a knock on the passenger window. It caught Won Woo’s attention and he turned to see Soo Min standing there peeking in and waving once he spotted her. He rolled the window down and she reached in to unlock the door. “Where did you come from?” He asked completely dumbfounded.

“Seungcheol was taking me home and we just happened to pull up behind you at this light!” She explained before turning in her seat to see her boyfriend was staring out the window with a dejected expression. “Jeonghan?” She called out to him but he didn’t respond. She reached out to tap him on the leg and he finally snapped out of it and pulled one of his earbuds out to respond. I guess it was better I didn’t even try to speak. Won Woo thought with a sad snicker.

“When did you get here?” Jeonghan asked when he saw it was his girlfriend who tapped on his leg.

“Seungcheol pulled up behind you guys. He told me to just get out and get into my car before the light turns green. You probably should do the same!” She gestured for him to hurry.

“Okay.” He nodded and quickly got out without another word and that made her frown.

“What’s up with him?” She asked after sitting down properly in the passenger seat and buckled up.

“I’m not sure, he’s been acting like that since we got back earlier.”

“Really?” She frowned and looked at Seungcheol’s car through the side rearview mirror on her side. “I hope he’ll be okay.”

“Me too.” Won Woo managed to say before the light turned green. The rest of the ride home with quiet because the two were worrying about Jeonghan. But that’s not all Won Woo was worrying about.

The evening was already gone and it was time for bed by the time the duo made it home. Won Woo had already showered earlier so Soo Min took hers while he went straight to his room and landed face first on his bed. There was so much going on in his head tonight, thoughts about losing his bracelet, thoughts about upsetting Jeonghan and thoughts about Mingyu. Text me if you want to talk. He remembered what Mingyu had said, but he couldn’t bring himself to pull out his phone to do that.

He actually hated to burden others with their problems. The only person he ever really talked to was Soo Min and it wasn’t that often, but enough and vice versa.

“Won Woo?” He suddenly heard her call his name at the door. “Is everything okay? You’ve been acting weird, too.” She added with a small frown at the door. She had a towel over her head since she just got out of the shower.

“You’re getting water everywhere!” He complained and jumped up from his bed to properly wrap her hair up in the towel. She still never got the hang of how to do that!

“You didn’t answer my question.” She pouted after he was done doing that for her.

“I don’t know. A lot’s just been going on.” He sighed. “I think Jeonghan is upset with me since he tried to talk to me earlier but I wouldn’t answer him. And before we left the campsite, I realized I lost the bracelet you gave me. I think the chain finally broke and it’s long gone now.” He turned away with a frustrated sigh this time and ran his hands through his hair before letting his hand run down his face like he wanted to pull it off.

“Aw, that !” Soo Min felt bad for him. She knew he lost his rings sometimes, but she couldn’t imagine how he felt about losing the bracelet she gave him. It was so special and meant a lot to him.

“I ran off to go look for it and got lost again in the woods, but Mingyu came after me shortly after. It was raining so much, I guess it sunk into the mud or something… I don’t know.”

“It’s okay. At least you looked for it.” She assured him and walked up to give him a small pat on his shoulder. “I can make you a new one.”

“It won’t be the same.”

“I know, but it’s still from me, right?” She gave him a sweet smile and that made Won Woo think back on what Mingyu said. He had told him the same thing… He suddenly felt like talking to Mingyu now.

“Thanks.” He managed to give her a small smile. “Now, go blow dry your hair or you’re going to regret falling asleep like that and I don’t feel like straightening your hair for you tomorrow morning.” He turned her around and pushed her out the door.

“Bu-”

“Go!” He successfully pushed her out and shut his door. She was so confused until she realized maybe he was going to call Mingyu or something? And he didn’t want her butting in. A huge smile spread across her lips before she happily skipped back to her room, forgetting about blow drying her hair!

Won Woo: Thanks for earlier.

Mingyu: No problem! :)

Won Woo: You were right. I told Soo Min about losing my bracelet and she said she'd make me a new one.

Mingyu: I know I said before that it probably wouldn't be the same but it's the idea that matters, right?

Won Woo: Agreed. I understand what you meant now. Thanks.

Mingyu: No problem! :D

Won Woo: Sorry for saying thanks so much… I don't know what else to say besides thanks.

Mingyu: It's alright! Don't worry about it, it's cute!

Won Woo: …

Won Woo: Thanks.

Mingyu: You are welcome!

Won Woo couldn't help but smile after reading Mingyu's texts. He just felt so… happy having another person who kind of understood him besides Jihoon and Soo Min.

Mingyu: It's getting late, you should sleep, okay? If you can't, just text me again and I'll try to keep you company until you can.

Won Woo: Thanks.

Mingyu: Goodnight, Won Woo, sweet dreams~! :D

Won Woo: Goodnight, Mingyu. :)

After sending off that last text, Won Woo tossed his phone to the end of his bed and curled up into a ball with a small groan. He felt embarrassed and was cringing at his reply. Why did I put the smiley face?! It's so unlike me! He thought while he rolled back and forth like a suffering Anime character. But that's not a bad thing, is it? He stopped after a few moments. People change, right? He stared at the ceiling for a moment before he sighed. Or his persona is rubbing off on me already?!

He put his phone on his charger before deciding he should really try to sleep before it got any later. He needed a lot of rest after such a long day. He hoped Soo Min had gone to sleep as well. Usually he'd get up and check, but he was too tired to do it tonight. He knew he could trust her… maybe.

“Even though I really like him, I’m fine with just being friends for now. I’m fine with just being by his side and I hope I can be by his side for a long time.” Mingyu’s words played at a low volume on Soo Min’s digital camera.

The girl tried to mask her small squeal from under her covers, she didn’t want Won Woo coming to her room and catch her watching this top secret video. She played it a couple of more times before she put her camera away, too much fangirling could get her in trouble again!

It’s only a matter of time~! She thought happily in her head. Her smiling only lasted for a moment before she recalled the reason she ended up going on the camping trip when she originally said she wasn’t going. I didn’t even ask Mingyu for another picture! Damn, I knew I was forgetting something! So much for those pretty backgrounds, all she got were spooky backgrounds from when she was looking for Jeonghan and Won Woo with Mingyu. That got her thinking about how Jeonghan was acting earlier and she sighed. Are they butting heads again? She wondered and got up to sit at her desk. She wasn’t tired and she knew she wasn’t going to be tired for a long time. She decided to set up the photoshop file for her portrait so she could start on it right away later.

She remembered what Won Woo had said earlier about not talking to Jeonghan. That made her stare at her phone near her laptop. I know it’s late… but should I call him? She was conflicted. While she wanted to check on him and make sure he was okay, it was late and she didn’t want to keep him up. Damn. It was like her hand had a mind of its own and grabbed her phone before pulling up her boyfriend’s contact and hit the call button.

“... hello?” She could hear Jeonghan answer with a sleepy voice.

“Sorry, were you sleeping?!” She apologized and frowned.

“It’s okay… it’s a good thing you called, I dozed off in the bathtub.” He gave a sheepish laugh. “Damn. I didn’t think I’d fall asleep like that.” Despite using dry shampoo earlier, he felt like taking a nice warm bath before bed would help him relieve stress from such a long chaotic day.

“Be careful!” She couldn’t help but scold him. “Hurry up and get out of there!”

“But the water is so warm.” He whined. “I’d stay in here all night if I could!”

“You’ll shrivel up like a raisin!” She laughed.

“I’d be a good looking raisin, right?”

“I’m not answering that.” She pouted.

“No need to tell me, I already know your answer!” He chuckled. “Now that I think about it, what are you wearing?”

“Yah!” She could feel her face burn up just from the way he asked. “I’m not answering that either!”

“You’re no fun.” She could hear the pout in his tone but he chuckled and apologized right after. It was too late at night to be teasing her like that.

“I was just calling to check up on you. Earlier you seemed bothered when you got out of the car. Won Woo was acting weird after we got home, too. I didn’t know if maybe you two butted heads or something on your way home from the trip or something?”

“Hmm, I didn't think you'd notice.” His tone was almost sarcastic but she didn't catch it. “Don't worry about it, just go to sleep, okay?”

“Alright.” She replied because she wasn't sure what else to say on the matter. “Don't fall asleep in the tub again, you hear me?!”

“I won't.” He chuckled. “Goodnight, I love you.”

“Love you, too. Night!” She said before ending the call. Well, that went a whole lot differently than she thought it would go. Hopefully it just blows over soon. She really hated it when her boyfriend and best friend didn’t get along. It was cute when it was silly and playful but when it was serious… she hated having to pick sides. She never who to side with, her best friend she grew up with or the love of her life?

It always made her feel bad when it came to situations like those. If she picked Jeonghan, Won Woo would feel betrayed and abandoned, but if she picked Won Woo, Jeonghan would feel like she didn’t love him enough. She supposed it was like that cliché saying about who comes first to the husband, their wife or their mother? But in this case, it was the opposite and different, who came first, her best friend or her boyfriend? Why does it have to be so complicated?! Can’t we all just get along? She sat back in her seat with a defeated sigh and spun around a couple of times in her swivel chair.

A few moments later, she decided on setting up her project instead of wasting time worrying about it so late at night. She could think about the situation more clearly another time.

“So, you couldn't sleep again?” Mingyu asked after he came out of his shared apartment to greet Won Woo who had shown up in Soo Min's car.

“No.” Won Woo said in defeat.

“There's just too much on your mind tonight? Restless thoughts are good at keeping you awake, you know?”

“I didn't think so until now.”

“Do you want to talk?” Mingyu asked before a yawn tried to escape his lips. Won Woo felt bad for coming over now.

“No, it's okay. Sorry to keep you up, I'll go-” He said while turning to leave but Mingyu stopped him by the arm and pulled him back.

“No, don't go, it's fine!” He assured him. “It doesn't matter what time of day or night, I'll listen to you.”

Won Woo looked back at him over his shoulder in awe. He'd really do that for me? He felt those warm and fuzzy feelings in his stomach again.

“Just tell me what's bothering you, I promise, venting does help.” Mingyu said with that kind smile of his. Seeing how the younger seemed like he really wanted to help, Won Woo decided maybe he should really try to talk to him after all.

He requested they sit in the car instead of talking in the open and once they were inside, Won Woo told him about what happened between him and Jeonghan while they were waiting for the rain to stop. He wasn't able to bring himself to repeat what he had said to Jeonghan but he told Mingyu that he had been acting like an to Jeonghan at the time.

“Am I holding a grudge against him?” Won Woo sounded so lost and confused when he asked. “Despite everything he did for me while on the trip, I still treated him badly.”

“I think you two just need to sit down and talk it out. Maybe you just don't understand each other completely because of the lack of communication?”

“Possibly…” Won Woo didn't seem too keen on that idea but he knew it had to be done soon.

“I'm sure once you two can talk it out, things will be better.”

“I really hope so.” Won Woo wanted to be hopeful just like Mingyu, but it was hard. The last time he was hopeful for something it never worked out. It felt like as if he had this long streak of bad luck. Things never went the way he wanted, ever.

“I know it's difficult, but you just have to believe a little more. It'll all work out sooner or later.” Mingyu said while resting his hand over Won Woo's that was resting on his leg. “Oh! Sorry!” He apologized instantly and turned away. “I got a little too comfortable.”

“It's fine.” Won Woo said with a small smile. And there was that mixed signal again. How does he truly feel, I wonder…

They spent a few moments in comfortable silence before Won Woo spoke up and said he felt better now after talking to Mingyu. He thanked him, of course… awkwardly but Mingyu thought it was adorable regardless.

There were a few words exchanged between the two before they said goodnight and Won Woo left. Mingyu watched the car drive away and couldn't help but smile at the fact Won Woo drove all the way over to see him at this hour, almost 2am. I keep falling for you more and more every day...

A lot of authors tend to cringe and get embarrassed over their past works... Then there's me, laughing my off as if I didn't write this myself lol

Chapter 146: Welcome back back

Ohhhhhhh all the tea is dropping one by one. Soo Min if your pregnant, it’s going to be great news and protective Wonwoon + Jihoon 😎😎 Jeonghan might be toasted lol Ren is going to be that “BIG DEAL”

The parents need to stop acting up and forgive one another. Be happy for the sake of your kids and rekindle with all the kids plus Rina.

Chapter 142: 😢 Our deepest sympathy to the Jeons of course.
As far as the continuation I think it would be ok since you will be updating a few months from now. Right now it would seem a little weird, but I don't think it will be bad later. Go with your heart though.
