Min Ji looked around the crowded ice skating rink for any signs of Kim Bum and Min Ho. So Eun looked at her as she slide next to her, she looked around as well but with a confused look as opposed to Min Ji’s upset glare.

“What are we looking for?”

Min Ji looked at her and then smiled nervously. “Nothing! Some kid just bumped into me and startled me is all.” She said as she looked at her. “Up for another round?”

“Sure thing!” She beamed as she skated off. “See you on the other side Min Ji!” So Eun called.

“Why is she such a pro at this?” Min Ji said as she slowly went onto the ice, she was trying hard to keep her balance but was stumbling. “I hate ice skating…” She mumbled, she looked at her watch once more. *It’s 8:30 Kim Bum you prick.* She thought before falling flat on her bottom. “Aish!”

“That looked like it hurt…” Came a late voice, she slowly looked up to see Min Ho and Kim Bum. “Would you look who showed up?” She said through gritted teeth as she looked at the two tall males. “It’s 8:30…I would have expected everyone to be here and on the ice at around 7.”

Kim Bum laughed. “Really? I thought 8:30 would be a long enough wait.” He said.

*I hate him…* She thought as she scrunched her nose up.

Min Ho looked around. “If you’re here then that means So Eun must be here as well correct?”

“Yeah, don’t offer to help me up…I’m fine.” She said as she struggled to get up. “Stupid skates!”

Min Ho looked at her before easily helping lift her up on her feet. “What are you doing on the ice if you don’t know how to stand up?”

“Min Ji did you fall again?” So Eun asked as she stopped by them, she looked at the boys shocked. “Oh…Kim Bum sunbae, Min Ho sunbae….” She said with a small blush as she looked at Min Ji. “Oh, you hurt yourself.”

“I did?”

So Eun pointed to her cut knee which was easy to spot since she now had a whole in her pants and was bleeding. “That looks like a nasty cut too…we should get off the ice and get something for that.”

“I’m fine…really!” Min Ji said with a smile. Kim Bum raised an eyebrow before pushing her. “Ow!” She said as she shot him a death glare.

“Looks like she isn’t as fine as she thinks…I’ll handle the klutz from here.” He said as he gave Min Ho a smiled. “Why don’t you and So Eun enjoy the ice, we’ll be out there in no time.”

Min Ho looked at So Eun and gave a small smile. “What do you say?”

She looked at Min Ji who nodded. “O..Okay…please take care of her Kim Bum sunbae.” She said giving a serious look. “No funny business.”

“Funny business…like I said she isn’t my type.”

So Eun nodded at the two before her and Min Ho skated off. Min Ji looked at Kim Bum upset as she stuck her tounge out. “You know you didn’t have to knock me down!”

“I had to find an excuse to get them to go off alone…we should put a band aid on that cut of yours.”

He said as he led her off the ice and to a bench. He left her to get a band aid from a nearby store and when he came back the whole area was lite up by Christmas lights. Min Ji looked at him and held her hand out.

“I can put it on.” She said as she wiggled her fingers impenitently.

He rolled his eyes and knelt down before her. “I told your friend I would take care of you.” He took out a napkin and wiped the cut free of blood before placing a Hello Kitty band aid on it. “All better.” He stated as he sat down by her.

Min Ji smiled as she watched So Eun laugh at something Min Ho said. She had a somewhat proud look on her face. Kim Bum couldn’t help but look at her and smile.

“They look cute together in a weird way…funny how some say they aren’t right for each other but they can still fit so perfectly to others. Sometimes opposites attract…then again I get a feeling there not that opposite to begin with.”

Kim Bum looked at them as well. “So what’s your deal anyways, why was this so important?”

“Because So Eun was my first friend at that school…and she easily became my best friend. So I want to see her happy and if she would be happy with him it’s my job to try and make sure they can at least have a chance to be together.”

“You know you owe me some time on the ice.” He said as he stood up and looked down at her with a smirk. “So come on.”

Min Ji looked up at him and shook her head. “I’m not going back on that ice! I thought it would be easy to learn but it’s too hard. I don’t feeling like falling on my again. Why don’t you go find some other girl to skate with and have fun.”

Kim Bum looked at her seriously. “I’m supposed to be here with you right now though, So Eun would be mad if I left you alone. Besides I don’t want to skate with any other girl right now but you.” He held his hand out and instead of his usual smile he gave her a sincere, soft one. “I won’t let you fall…I promise.”

She looked up at him and her heart skipped a beat. *Why does he have to look at me like that and say such things. If he keeps that up I’m afraid things will go back to the way there were before…* She nodded and took his hand as he helped her up and led her to the ice.

Min Ji let Kim Bum guide her around the ring and sighed. She looked at some of the other girls there that would pass by and give him a glance. She then looked over to So Eun and Min Ho. Kim Bum looked down at her and saw the look on her face.

*Because I’m not pretty enough to be by his side.* She thought as she looked at her outfit. *I wear cheap regular clothes while So Eun wears expensive outfits made by famous designers. She would look right next to any guy. The girls from the other night where only opening my eyes to the truth. They were more pretty then me.*

“You look really pretty tonight.” Kim Bum commented as he starred ahead, she looked up at him surprised by the sudden complement.

“You don’t have to lie---“

“I don’t lie about things like that.” He stated as he looked down at her, both of them stopped skating. “Out of all the girls in this ring you look the best.” Kim Bum pushed her hair back from her face and behind her ear.

Min Ji starred into his eyes quietly, she wasn’t sure what to say really. He slowly closed his eyes and started to lean his face in. Slowly her eyes began to close as well.

“Move out the way!” A kid shouted as him and his friends zoomed past them, separating them and causing Min Ji to almost fall.

Kim Bum caught her at the last minute and smiled. “Told you I wouldn’t let you fall.”

“I…I owe you food as well!” She shouted as she quickly stood up and sepreated from him. “I’m starving so let me treat you to something good to eat now.” Min Ji stumbled off the ice to change to her sneakers.

Kim Bum just laughed as he followed her  off the ice. Waiting for Min Ji to put on her shoes he looked at his friend who was now twirling So Eun around like they were both pros. *I guess if we leave them alone they’ll be fine…Min Ho looks really happy out there. Normally he doesn’t even waste time with girls.* “Is that how it’s supposed to look when you love someone?” He questioned out loud without notice.

Min Ji stopped tying her shoe and looked up at him through the corner of her eyes. His face softened as he looked like he was in deep thought. *Did he just say what I think he just said…should I ask about it?* A tear slid down his face, she focused back on her sneakers. *I shouldn’t bother him…*

Kim Bum whipped his cheek. He couldn’t help but think about his mother and how much she loved his dad. His father cheated on her and broke her heart, she left after she found out about the news and he hasn’t heard from her since then. He was knocked out of his thoughts when Min Ji stood up.

“I know the perfect place to take you Kim Bum sunbae!” With a huge grin she grabbed his hand and pulled him along.

He starred down at their hands together. *Why do you make me feel like this Min Ji? Like I want to actually give love a shot…*
