17. Saying Farewells
Lief[Saying Farewells]
“Wake up, princess.”
JooHyun opened her eyes to a horrible sight.
YongHwa was leaning over her, waving two tall drinks he had bought from the sauna’s store. She glared at him and turned over to the side, making him face her back.
“Come on, I know you haven’t eaten anything since yesterday.”
She winced, “But I did. I bought some stuff yesterday.”
“You’re currently not bringing any cash, are you?” YongHwa questioned rhetorically.
“What makes you think so?!” she snapped, annoyed at the fact that he can read her so easily.
The boy smirked, revealing his slightly crooked teeth, “The fact that you haven’t bought anything much ever since you entered the sauna.” He said, “I’m just helping you out.”
JooHyun crankily grabbed the drink and the snacks that he was holding, upset at his right guess. Ever since JangHyuk kicked her out of the house, she had been saving pennies of what was left in her wallet.
She had tried using her credit cards, but it seemed like her husband had blocked all of them.
It all started when she said that she wasn’t going to force JinHee into going back to JoonMyeon. JangHyuk had flipped at her for that- and ruthlessly threw her out of the house. He didn’t even give her time to pack for her clothes.
The things I do for you, Seo JinHee. She thought grumpily.
JooHyun opened a bag of potato chips and dug in. She made sure to wipe her hands off on a tissue before moving on to the drink. She saw YongHwa his fingers clean of the chips and cringed. This guy just couldn’t get any worse.
“Yah- use a napkin.” She shoved a tissue box at his face.
YongHwa smiled meekly at her and did as she said.
“Such a well mannered princess.” He quipped teasingly.
JooHyun brushed the comment off- It was a new skill she had acquired as a result of spending more than a week with the guy.
“I’m leaving tomorrow, princess.” YongHwa suddenly said.
She could only stare at him blankly.
Sure- he had been a pain in the behind at most times, but he was also her only companion during her sauna adventure of loneliness. She couldn’t even meet with her family- since she didn’t want them getting worried for her.
JooHyun even considered him as a friend somehow…
“Well, of course.” She replied nonchalantly, “You can’t possibly stay here forever can you?”
He smiled subtly and shook his head, looking a little bit reg
