Namjoo x Taeyhung

Can it be possible that I like you more than a friend?

no, not super duper best friends.

Taehyung was so ready to tell Namjoo about his adventures yesterday. He is so pumped to tell Namjoo all the details of his trip explicitly. But, right now his only problem was that, where is Namjoo? Taehyung walks pass the classrooms, checks the stairs, the library and nope, Namjoo isn't anywhere. Taehyung thinks for a moment, "If I was Namjoo, where would I be?"

He runs all the way to Namjoo's dorm room, he knows how much of a lazy bum Namjoo is. He knocks once, twice, "I'm coming in."

So Taehyung does, and he sees Namjoo laying on the floor, her phone right next to her, "Knew it."

They exchanged smiles and Taehyung plops himself next to Namjoo's lying body, tucking his feet under Namjoo's thighs, for heat. They were used to skinship that even patting each other's was normal. Their friends thought otherwise and wonders why the they aren't married yet. Namjoo groaned as she stretched her body.

"I have stories to tell, and you're the perfect person for me to tell these crazy adevntures I went through." Taehyung starts and giggled.

Namjoo rolled her eyes, with a teasing tone, "I'm not the perfect person, I'm the only one who you would tell your weird stories too, because my level of tolerance for you is higher than the Burj Khalifa."

Taehyung clicked his tongue as he chose to ignore the remark and continues with his crazy adventures. But, in reality those crazy adeventures are quite Taehyung-normal, according to Namjoo. It includes Taehyung playing with foreign kids on the beach, dropping his ice cream on someone's car or simply him making friends with a crow. Taehyung went on and on and Namjoo just laughs because her best friend was too engrossed in his story. Again, Namjoo ignores the fluttery feeling in her chest as she stares at Taehyung's face that was wearing a concentrated expression. Namjoo rolled over, throwing a pillow right to Taehyung's voice and let her eyes close. Taehyung was shocked, words of protests at the tip of his tongue but when he sees Namjoo sleeping calmly, he gulps any insults and smiles softly. He wants to deny it as a whole but it was getting out of hand and he wants to confront it sooner. He shifts, snuggling with Namjoo to exchange as much warmth in the cold weather.

It took Taehyung atleast three days to be out of his mind. He was slowly losing his , he can't hold it back anymore. He drags Namjoo out from the lunch hall to the campus's garden. They sat on the bench, a slight uncomfortableness playing in the air between the two. The silence ate the insides of Namjoo, did she do anything wrong? Why is Taehyung not grinning or giggly? Why is he so serious? Why is he fiddling with his fingers? Namjoo couldn't help but feel awkward and guilty even though she was positive she wasn't at fault.

"Hey, say something, I might literally die at the silence." Namjoo tries to joke but Taehyung just blinks and gulps.

"Well, okay?" Namjoo shifts uncomfortably in her position, dying of curiousity.

Taehyung finally clears his throat after what seemed like a century. He tests out his voice.

"N-Namjoo? This has been playing in my mind for what seemed like 5000 years. Okay, maybe 3 or 4 years but still I feel like it has been going on since my previous lives," Namjoo chuckles, "Oh, I'm rambling. What I wanted to say is that, I-I've seen the way you look at me."

Namjoo raised an eyebrow, her cheeks heating up. Did she get caught?

"I-I mean like can, can we be more than best friends?" Taehyung asks, hesistantly.

Namjoo coughs, "Like super duper best friends?" She laughs, "Aren't we already at that level? Or more than that?"

Namjoo's attempt to joke failed when Taehyung kind of smile but it seemed disappointed. Namjoo agrees to shut up and allow Taehyung to talk.

"No, not super duper friends. L-Like love-lovers? Like boyfriend and girlfriend?" Taehyung blushes.

Namjoo blushes even worse. Namjoo's eyes widens at the thought, her face heating up even more. Taehyung, having to notice the blushing mess of a Namjoo, scoots closer. Namjoo's face could beat the reddest tomato. Taehyung held her face between his hands. He comes closer and closer, "Can I?"

Namjoo nods subtly but Taehyung caughts it anyways and connects their lips in a swift motion. Namjoo's heart exploded with colours, all thoughts of one-sided love disappeared. The kiss was sweet and slow, just how both of them wanted.

After the confrontation, the couple started becoming slightly shy with each other. Their cirlce of friends might have noticed the difference but doesn't point out because, for god's sake, finally.
