Starting that April night, Seung Hyun and Soo Yun soon became really close, they talk almost every day, texting each other, Seung Hyun tried his best to not let the fact that she was grieving interfere between them and Soo Yun was grateful to him for allowing her to lean on him on the time she was feeling lost.

She got used to hang out at his apartment; he will even bother to explain what he was studying despite the fact they were majoring in completely opposite things, him as an engineer, her as a nutritionist, but still they did their best to make it work.

I mean every friendship comes with compromises, but despite the fact they were complete opposites they got to realize they had similar taste in music and movies and that they share a coming interest in reading despite liking different genres, but they still managed to make it work, at the end they decided that their differences was what made them click so well with one another.

Seung Hyun soon became so easy to read to Soo Yun, to the point she could always tell when he was angry, sad or truly happy, this also became aware to him and to the guys as well, they kept teasing him nonstop about that and it kind of bother him a little bit knowing someone could read him like an open book, especially since he was so reserved in the past.

But it was weird that despite that, he remain comfortable being with her, for her he was willing to be an open book and she was grateful she had let him in; but what bother him the most was that he couldn’t read her the same way as she did.

For Soo Yun it was easy to shut her emotions; after being raise up between grownups, she had learned to mask her emotions, and she used this to the max around Seung Hyun.

She felt bad about this, but after what happen with Dong Wook she felt that she couldn’t trust that easily to other people, she was scared of losing someone that important to her again. The only person she let her guard a little bit down was around Young Bae.

But despite of all the precautions she was taking, their constant closeness soon evolve into something else for Soo Yun, it was just a couple of months away from her 20^th birthday when she had to face a truth she had being neglecting to see all along.

It was another night hanging out with the boys, they had gathered to watch Transformers 2 at Jiyong’s place, despite the protest of Soo Yun and Seungri of watching Wolverine Origins, but at the end they lost to the other guys, so they were seating close together chit chatting between them, until a phone rang and Seung Hyun excused himself to take the call, Soo Yun didn’t even had to look at him to know who was the one he was talking to, Kim Na Young.

She was an old acquaintance of Soo Yun that she had introduce to Seung Hyun two months ago when they bump into her at the cinema, ever since then Seung Hyun pestered her for Na Young’s number and at the end she cave in; she felt bad for her friend since she knew Na Young well and knew that Seung Hyun wasn’t his type but he was still after her, despite the efforts she made to try to persuade him otherwise.

She sighed once again, this time louder and since the guys had pause the movie waiting for Seung Hyun, Jiyong and Seungri decided to go buy some stuff to eat in the meantime, so all heads turn to her who started playing with her phone, sliding it open and shut.

“Yunie-ah” Daesung said “what’s wrong?”

“Ani, nothing Dae, don’t worry about it” she said but both Bae and Daesung knew that something was off.

“Yun, we know that something is off, you don’t go sighing like an idiot over nothing, common speak up” Bae said seating next to her on the floor.

“Oppa, really is nothing, I’m just a bit stress out, you know I’m just tired from the semester” she said trying to change the subject.

“Like we are going to believe that, common Yunie-ah, we have being friends for almost three years now, what’s wrong” Dae kept pushing.

Suddenly Bae took a deep breath and said “is about hyung isn’t it?”

Soo Yun look at Bae, while feeling the urge to kick him for being able to nailed it on the first try, so she simply look down in defeat.

“So it is about hyung… let me guess, you fell for him, right?” Bae kept talking but this time lowering his voice, like trying to protect the secret he had just revealed to the world.

She simply nodded and Daesung eyes almost pop out from the shock, he wasn’t expecting that, after all, he was convinced that if she liked someone was Young Bae, they were so close after all.

“So you are piss off at him for liking your friend?” Dae asked.

Soo Yun took a deep breath and answered “ani, I’m not angry well at least not with him, I am angry at myself, how the hell did I end up liking an idiot guy like him?

He is the complete opposite of everything I look in a guy, if I had to date someone from this bunch it will be either of you guys, since you are the closest to my ideal type, but no, I had to fall for the bingu that likes geeky stuff and likes girls that are the complete opposite of what I look like, but mostly, he is the FREAKING BROTHER OF MY FIRST LOVE!” Soo Yun said letting her tongue run wild from the thoughts that had fill her mind for the last 3 months.

“Breath donsaeng, you are going to have a heart attack for holding all that in” Bae said while rubbing her back.

“Is just frustrating, you know? Liking someone you are 1000% sure that doesn’t like you back, I can read him like an open book and I know him like the back of my hand, and I’m sure he doesn’t like me even one bit” she said while ruffling her hair, she hated herself for having to admit defeat, she had being fighting to push her feelings to the side, but had failed miserably.

“Don’t feel bad, you cannot choose who you like in this life, is something that just happens” Dae said trying to comfort her, but the two guys quickly exchanged looks and they knew that what Soo Yun was telling them was right, Seung Hyun only look at her as his friend, the donsaeng that had pop out of nowhere and had landed in his life, but that was it.

They had known him most of his life and he had a specific type of girls, long hair, long legs, fit, into sports (even if he hate practicing them), girly, cute and really feminine; to which Soo Yun only qualify to the first two, lately she had put on some extra weight, stop wearing makeup (she said what for, after all, all her classmates where girls), had found a new found love for flats and vans and her idea of sports where watching them on tv.

“I know Dae, but I’m not even expecting anything to be completely honest, but I will like to have a little control of what this er decides to do from time to time” she said pointing a finger at her heart “I mean, was once not enough? Now I get the sequel, starring the donsaeng? What kind of sick and twisted joke is life trying to pull on me?”

“Well, since you have that clear, I don’t have to sugar coat what I have to say, but before I do, I just wanna ask you one more thing. Soo Yun, do you like hyung or do you love him?” Bae asked his donsaeng hoping that it will be the first alternative; otherwise, she was in it for hell.

Soo Yun looked at the guys and immediately answered “I just like the guy, I guess it was my mistake for getting this close to him, but I will deal with it on my own, I mean is not like I have fallen head over heels for him, I’m just attracted to him and since I know I’m not even close to get a shot with him, I have made up my mind to just forget about the whole thing”

“If that’s the case, I’m relieved” said Bae relaxing a bit and giving the girl a hug with his right arm “I was afraid that if you had stronger feelings for him you will end up hurt. You aren’t hyung’s type Yun, plus he isn’t good enough for you” he said half joking “I will just hate to see you crying out for a guy that let’s be honest, is not a bit interest in you”

“Thanks for the lack of sugar Oppa” Soo Yun said chuckling “but yes, you are right, he doesn’t see me like a woman, just like a friend, so don’t worry about it guys, but thanks for letting me get this off my chest, but also If you dare say one word about this, I will kill you both in your sleep, arasso?” she finishing up while pinching both guys cheeks.

“Why are you going to kill them in their sleep Soo Yun?” Seung Hyun said entering back to the room and eyeing the other three that were seating on the floor.

“Because I can” she said smirking to him and laid herself on the floor, supporting her head on Bae’s legs. Seung Hyun looked at her, how could a girl just rest on a guys lap?

He felt a small pang on his heart; feeling slightly bothered by the scene, but simply shrugged off. This had being happening from time to time, he wasn’t quite comfortable with the way Soo Yun and Young Bae acted around each other, he felt that they did way too much skin ship.

First he found it odd, especially coming from Young Bae, but then he simply let it go, shoving it in the Soo Yun weird world area of his mind, after all why should he mind about what she does with his friend? Was what he kept saying to himself.
