Kim Jaejoong and Lee Su Jin stepped into their luxurious suite in Santorini, a sense of tranquility washed over them. Su Jin wasted no time, she quickly opened the balcony doors. The refreshing air filled with the scent of the sea brushed her cheeks and tousled her hair.

She took a deep breath and said “Ah, this is perfect.”

With a smile lighting up her face, Su Jin reached for her phone, and snapped a picture of the breathtaking view, that she instantly posted to her instagram account with the caption

“The place, the partner & the time - every bit of it fills me with gratitude and joy”

Kim Jaejoong watched her with amusement, touched by her enthusiasm for their journey together. It warmed his heart more than he could express.

They decided to sleep a little before going out later for dinner. They had a dinner reservation in a luxurious restaurant perched atop the island's picturesque cliffs, surrounded by breathtaking views of the azure sea.

As they were in the entrance of the restaurant, they were greeted by a host, who confirmed their reservation and offered them to take a photo of the couple to commemorate their evening.

Su Jin eagerly handed over her phone, and they posed against the backdrop of the breathtaking view.

Once the photo was captured, they entered the restaurant and settled into their seats, marveling at the panoramic vista of the azure sea spread out before them. After the waiter took their order, Su Jin checked the picture

"Oh, Jaejoong, look at this picture! It's stunning.” She showed him the image on her phone, her eyes sparkling with delight. Jaejoong's gaze softened as he admired the picture.

“I know now what’s my new phone wallpaper picture.” She was about to change the wallpaper, when Jaejoong intervened.

“Are you sure you want to change it?”

She laughed, understanding his concern and thinking of her brother’s reaction “Chang Wook will be dead jealous and upset.”

“You've had the same wallpaper for 3 or 4 years now, right?”

She nodded and he continued “You know, Su Jin, the first time we met, I thought that photo on your wallpaper was of your boyfriend. It wasn't until the day we discovered about our marriage, when I took your phone to register my number, then I had a clear view of your brother’s face.”

Su Jin laughed, remembering that time. Before she could comment, the waiter came back with their plates. Once he left, she reminisced "Remember when we first met? I never imagined we'd be strolling through the streets of Santorini together.”

"How could I forget? I wasn’t very nice, was I?”

She laughed “I thought you were just an arrogant CEO, who barely acknowledged my existence, when he was the one who requested to work together.”

“And Now?”

Su Jin and said “Now, you're my arrogant CEO.”

They shared a laugh as they continued eating, but few moments later, Jaejoong felt the urge to explain

“I am always  cold in business, but I know I was extra cold because I had a wrong idea about you.”

“And now?” She returned the same question laughing

"Now, I realize how wrong I was about you. You've brought so much warmth and joy into my life, Su Jin.” She didn’t expect him to answer, as she was just teasing him, but her heart swelled with affection, and she reached across the table to squeeze his hand.

"And you've shown me a side of you that's far more than just an 'intimidating CEO. You can be kind, and thoughtful.” With a mischievous twinkle in her eye, Su Jin stole a bite from Jaejoong's plate, savoring the flavor with a playful grin.

After dinner, they didn’t feel like returning to the hotel. Neither felt sleepy, and they wanted to stroll down the narrow alleys of Santorini.

The sky was full of stars, as they walked in comfortable silence, the only sound being their footsteps against the cobblestone streets.

At first, Jaejoong hesitated to take Su Jin's hand, unsure of how she would respond. But as they wandered further into the night, he found himself gently taking her hand in his own, intertwining their fingers without a word. And to his relief, Su Jin squeezed his hand gently, a silent affirmation of their bond.

After walking for a little bit more, Jaejoong suddenly placed his hand under her arms and effortlessly lifted her onto a ledge of a cobblestone wall. Su Jin was surprised, caught off guard by his unexpected action. But as she saw Jaejoong reaching for his phone, she realized his intention. Without a word, she turned to gaze at the view before them. It was a breathtaking sight!

Jaejoong snapped a beautiful picture of her, and with a smile, he approached her to show it to her. Su Jin's eyes lit up with delight as she admired the captured moment. She decided to playfully swipe the phone from his hands, much to Jaejoong's amusement.

Without a word, she handed him back his phone. When he checked it, he quickly asked, "What did you do?”

Su Jin laughed mischievously and replied, "I got you a new lock screen picture." She had set the picture Jaejoong took of her as his wallpaper.

Jaejoong looked at her in surprise, then a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

"Why? You don’t like it? You can always change it," Su Jin suggested.

He shook his head and chuckled, "I love it, of course."

Su Jin jumped down from the wall and stood beside him, and took many selfies together, and continued their stroll through the enchanting streets of Santorini.

The next day, the couple woke up a little late than usual. Su Jin stirred first, finding Jaejoong still asleep beside her. A gentle smile graced her lips as she saw Jaejoong still peacefully asleep.

A soft smile graced her lips as she observed the peaceful expression on his face. It was a rare sight; Jaejoong, known for his relentless work ethic, rarely slept past dawn.

Su Jin rolled onto her stomach, propping herself up with one arm. With the other, she traced the lines of the tattoo on Jaejoong's bare chest.

Jaejoong opened his eyes, a soft smile spread across his face as he registered Su Jin's tender touch.

"Good morning.” His voice was husky with sleep

Su Jin smiled and answered "Good morning, sleepyhead. Did you sleep well?”

“Yes, what time is it?”

“It’s 9:30AM”

Jaejoong’s eyes winded in disbelief “I don’t remember waking up this late.”

“You needed a break Jae, rest and forget work and your hectic schedule for a while”

"Look who’s talking about hectic schedule!" Jaejoong chuckled, his hand reached to gently touch Su Jin’s finger that was tracing his chest. In that moment, Su Jin realized her actions and Jaejoong's obliviousness to them, her cheeks flushed in, but she tried to hide it, by asking him a question.

"When did you get this tattoo?"

"Hmm, in university," Jaejoong replied, his tone casual yet guarded.

"Why did you choose ‘always keep the faith’?"

Jaejoong hesitated at first but decided to share with her the meaning even if he didn’t go into details

"It was during a challenging time in my life," he began, his voice tinged with emotion. "I needed a reminder to stay true to myself, to never lose faith in who I am and what I believe in, even when faced with obstacles."

He didn’t want to give her the chance to ask more, because he knew where it will lead, and with whom she will connect it with.

"And you? Do you have any tattoos?"

"No… Maybe we can have one together one day."

Jaejoong was still laying but when he heard what she said he sat on the bed, and let his fingers go through his hair, and said "Really! So you believe this marriage will last forever then"

Su Jin is outspoken, she never learned to calculate everything she says, and what’s on her heart is on her tongue.

"Maybe,” she replied softly, a hint of uncertainty lingering in her voice. “But even if we don’t, surprisingly I wouldn’t regret knowing you or a single moment spent with you.”

Jaejoong's expression softened at her words “Me neither,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.

Su Jin quickly attempted to change the topic

"Let’s get ready to discover the city, and most importantly, have breakfast. I can’t wait to try the bougatsa and the spanakopita," she suggested brightly, hoping to shift the focus to their upcoming adventure.

Jaejoong chuckled at her enthusiasm. "I can see you've done some research."

Su Jin grinned. "We haven't traveled much together, but one thing you should know is that my mission on trips is to find good food and good restaurants to try. And of course, your mission is to find places to see."

Jaejoong laughed along. "Thank goodness I prepared the plan in advance."

They spent their day leisurely strolling around Oia, wandering through the narrow stairways, sloping alleys, and exploring the charming shops that lined the streets. After a long day of sightseeing, Lee Su Jin began to feel the fatigue setting in.

"Remind me not to follow your plans next time," she remarked with a playful sigh.

"Why? You didn't enjoy the day?"

"Ani, it was great, but I'm absolutely exhausted," Su Jin admitted with a laugh.

Jaejoong chuckled as he recalled the distance they had covered throughout the day. With a mischievous smile, he stepped in front of Su Jin and bent down, offering to give her a piggyback ride back to their hotel.

"Come on, hop on. I'll carry you the rest of the way,"

Su Jin couldn't help but smile at his gesture, grateful for his thoughtfulness. She climbed onto his back, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Lee Su Jin gazed up at the stars “It's so peaceful here, Jaejoong. I wish we could stay forever.”

“We'll always have Santorini, Su Jin. And wherever life takes us, we can have our little escape.”
