Before leaving their friends’ house, Jaejoong glanced at his wife, his expression soft with a hint of inquiry.

"You're coming home with me, right? Or would you prefer to spend more time with Chang Wook and your parents?"

“No, no, I'll come home with you. But I've got my car here, so I'll follow you.”

Jaejoong's heart warmed at her decision, though he maintained his calm demeanor, simply nodding in response.

As they arrived home and stepped through the door, Su Jin went directly to get a drink, to help her relax in Jaejoong's presence.

"Would you like something to drink?" she called out over her shoulder.

"Thank you, Jin. I had a glass with the boys earlier. I still need to review some files before bed," Jaejoong replied, his voice carrying a gentle warmth as he went to his office.

Su Jin savored her drink, the soothing liquid calming her nerves as she made her way upstairs to their bedroom. After a warm shower, she slipped into her cozy pajamas and did her skincare routine before settling into bed. She took her phone to do some research while waiting for Jaejoong to finish.

“You're still up?” Jaejoong's voice broke through her concentration, drawing her attention away from her phone.

Su Jin nodded, offering him a small smile as she glanced up.

"I'll take a quick shower and join you," he added, his words prompting another smile from her before she returned her focus to her phone.

Once he finished his shower, Jaejoong slipped into bed beside her.

"What are you doing?”

"Nothing big, just ordering these two books." Su Jin replied, turning her phone screen toward him to reveal the titles. They were both business books.

Jaejoong scanned the titles before a realization dawned on him.

"Ah, no need. I have them downstairs in the office. You can check the bookcase,"

Su Jin shook her head, a gentle smile playing on her lips. "It's fine. I prefer to have my own copies, especially since I like to take notes on books."

"Don't worry about it. I haven't used them in years. You can take them," Jaejoong insisted.

Su Jin thanked him, before the conversation shifted to catching up on what they had been doing during their time apart. They shared light laughter, delving into anecdotes from their days apart, and also not forgetting more serious discussions about their respective work ventures.

As Su Jin rested her head on Jaejoong's chest, she decided to share some snapshots of her recent activities with Jaejoong.

She scrolled through her phone, revealing images of her professional collaborations, including pictorials with David Gandy for Dolce&Gabbana, as well as other notable figures such as Zendaya and Adriana Lima.

Jaejoong's eyes lit up with admiration. He knew Su Jin was immensely talented, one of the top 5 best models in the world, but seeing her limitless success, filled him with a sense of pride akin to that of a father witnessing his child's accomplishments.

"You're incredible, Jin," he murmured, as he reached out to gently squeeze her hand gently.

In this time, she had her head resting on his chest to be more comfortable showing him the pictures and videos. While she was showing him the pictures, she received a message from Jay Park.

**I have a video that will blow up if you let me share it on my social media.**

Su Jin was reading the message out loud to share with her husband, who was curious by now.

**What video?**

** I will not tell you until you give me the permission to publish at least a few seconds of it**

Su Jin continued reading, a playful tone creeping into her voice as she exchanged messages with Jay Park. Jaejoong chuckled at their banter.

**Yaah, how can I say yes without knowing what you're talking about?**

Su Jin's surprise was evident as Jay Park sent her a video of their impromptu dance session in a US studio, practicing the choreography for his song "If You Love Me" with NS Yoon G. "It's us dancing in the US! I had a day off and decided to pay Jay Park a visit while he was preparing for his concert,"

Su Jin explained, her voice filled with nostalgia. "The singer who was supposed to join him had a scheduling conflict, so I stepped in and tried to learn the choreography in just 40 minutes."

Jaejoong was taken aback, his surprise evident. "Wow, you dance?" he asked incredulously.

"Just a little, I used to. Did you like it?" Su Jin inquired, a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

Jaejoong hesitated before replying, "Hmm, yes, but I think you were a little too close to him." His words were careful, hinting at a subtle hint of jealousy.

Su Jin chuckled softly at Jaejoong's reaction

"Just a liiiitlle, Jay Park is one of my closest friends, like a brother to me.”

Just then Jay Park texted her again **So? Can I post it?**

Su Jin looked at Jaejoong and asked him “Do you mind him publish part of it?”

A part of Jaejoong wanted to say no, but he appreciated Su Jin asking for his opinion. With a slight shake of his head, he conveyed his consent. Su Jin smiled and texted her friend.

**Yes no problems**

The next morning, Jaejoong went to the gym at 6:00 AM even if it’s a Saturday. He didn’t want to wake Su Jin, so he left a little text stating where he was.

The next morning, Jaejoong woke up early and decided to go to the gym at 6:00 AM, even though it was a Saturday. Not wanting to disturb Su Jin, he left her a quick text message to let her know where he was going.

Su Jin woke up an hour and a half later, feeling refreshed. She made herself a cup of coffee, then prepared breakfast, and waited for Jaejoong to return.

While waiting, she checked her emails and decided to go to Jaejoong's office to take the books they talked about.

Once in his office, Su Jin couldn't help but smile at how neat and organized it was, a true reflection of Jaejoong's personality. She began searching for the two books he had mentioned, and to her delight, she quickly found them.

She took them and made her way to the living room and put one book on the table, and decided to read a few pages. She became engrossed in the words on the page.

She stood up to get her sticky notes and highlighter, to take notes, but a picture fell from between the pages and landed on the floor. Surprised, she quickly bent down to pick it up, only to realize that it was a picture of Jaejoong with a girl—Kim Jiyeon.

She turned the picture and read what was written on it. It was a feminine handwriting stating the date and the words "always together."

Jaejoong dating Kim Jiyeon? Were they still together? Had he been lying to her all along? She even questioned if this was the reason he didn't tell her that she was invited to the restaurant's opening. And the kiss! Was she used to transmit a message to Kim Jiyeon? Was that the reason why he hates models?

Feeling a mix of anger, hurt, and betrayal, Su Jin put the picture on top of the books on the table and took a deep breath. She was unsure of what to do next. She went to what used to be her room before she started sleeping in Jaejoong's.

Jaejoong returned home feeling refreshed from his gym session. He took a shower and went to search for his wife. As he was heading to the dining room to see if Su Jin was having her breakfast, he passed by the living room and his eyes caught a picture he hadn't seen in years. He took the picture between his hands, and he eyes were cold and bitter.  He froze right away as he quickly understood where it came from.

He knew that Su Jin would be in her former room, he knocked and opened the door. He found her sitting on the bed, lost in her thoughts.

"Su Jin," he said softly

"I... I saw the picture. I can explain."

Su Jin looked up, with an unexpected calm voice. "Explain? Explain what, Jaejoong? Explain to me how I am a victim of your past relationship?”

She continued with the same calm voice but this time it cracked couple times “You built an idea about me, without knowing me, just because I am a model like her. You got angry at me for watching her interview without knowing who she was.”

Jaejoong took a step closer, his voice filled with sincerity. "No, Su Jin, I can explain.”

But Su Jin interrupted him, her voice filled with frustration. "Sure you can, but I don't want an explanation. Because you crossed the line of getting a chance to explain. You kissed me because you wanted to let your friends know that you are a model slayer? Or what?"

Jaejoong's response caught Su Jin off guard. "Because she was there, in her car looking at us.”

Su Jin's anger flared up again, and she stood up from the bed, facing Jaejoong with a mix of frustration and hurt in her eyes.

"I can't believe you, Jaejoong," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. "You kissed me just to prove a point to your ex? How could you use me like that?”

"Su Jin, I was thoughtless. I never meant to use you."

"If what you did isn't using me, I don't know what is.”

“You have the right to get mad, but hear me out first.”

“Ok, go ahead, I’m all ears.” Su Jin answered sarcastically.

Jaejoong took a seat and sighed heavily. “Jiyeon is in the past, and it’s over. If I kissed you, it wasn’t to make her jealous. I was overwhelmed with everything going on, that’s all.” As soon as he finished, he covered his face with his hands and exhaled deeply.

"Well, she's clearly not in your past if you still keep her picture, and you act recklessly when you see her. You must be really attached. But that's not my problem. My problem is that you used me.”

“Jin, the picture is old, I forgot its presence, the books are from my university years, she and I are over.”

“I don’t care, we are not a real couple.”

“Since we started this marriage we agreed to be lovey-dovey in front of people.”

“With my CONSENT. And we agreed to do it in front of family or the press.”

“Can we please forget what happened?”

“It’s easy for you to say.”

Su Jin's frustration was palpable. "Forgetting isn't going to erase what you did, Jaejoong. You need to understand that all this marriage brought me was deprecation and disrespect."

Jaejoong looked down, his expression pained. "I'm truly sorry. I just want to make things right between us."

Su Jin sighed heavily “I can’t just brush aside what you did.”

"I'm really sorry. I've never felt this regretful before."

“I need time, Jaejoong. Time to process everything."

He nodded, making his way to the door. "Take all the time you need. But remember, she broke my heart, and you're breaking my ego.”
