Kim Jiyeon?

The Warmth of Spring

Su Jin spent the night at her parents' home to relax and distance herself from Jaejoong. She couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions and was still processing what had happened earlier. The sudden kiss from Jaejoong left her confused and suspicious, wondering if it was all just a show for his friends.

As she prepared for bed, Chang Wook knocked and entered her room.

"Time to sleep?" he asked.

Su Jin nodded with a faint smile.

"Su Jin, is something bothering you? You seem lost in thought since you returned from meeting Jae.”

Su Jin sighed and looked up at her brother, opening up about the situation. "Oppa, I don't know if I should tell you this... but Jaejoong kissed me out of the blue, and I can't help but feel like it was all for show. I don't want to be used or hurt by him.”

Chang Wook listened attentively and spoke softly, trying to offer some perspective. "Perhaps Jaejoong acted on impulse, but that doesn't mean his feelings for you are insincere. Give him a chance to explain himself.”

Su Jin questioned her brother, unsure of Jaejoong's true intentions. "You think he likes me?”

Chang Wook paused for a moment, reflecting on Jaejoong's behavior.

"It's possible. He's never treated a girl the way he treats you. I can't know for sure. Let's not jump to conclusions.”

“Not sure Oppa… I guess we are friends only, and I really don’t want to be a friend with benefits”

“I know Jaejoong well, he can’t do this. He doesn’t mix family, friends and ual relationships. He has always been direct and honest with the girls he's been with.”

Su Jin even shared with her brother what happened the night before, and told him that Jaejoong is seeing someone, and he kept receiving messages at night. Chang Wook sighed, and told her who was texting him, and made her promise to not tell Jaejoong.

Su Jin nodded, she was angry at her cousin, but deep inside she was relieved that he is not seeing someone, and was happy that her husband didn’t go with the flow, and didn’t want to answer her cousin and ignored her.

Meanwhile, Jaejoong was driving home, but he had much on his mind, he changed his way to the gym, seeking clarity through exercise.
Once he arrived, he took his gym bag that was always is his car, and started practicing.

As Jaejoong continued his intense workout, his mind began to wander back to the past. Memories of his relationship with Kim Jiyeon flooded his thoughts, causing a mix of emotions to surge within him.

Jaejoong dated Jiyeon since high school to university. They had been together for several years, but their love was far from stable. Their relationship was filled with arguments, jealousy, and constant ups and downs.

Jaejoong recalled his time with his ex, who was a model or newbie in the field, whatever he did for her,  it never seemed to be enough. She made him hate models.

The flashbacks continued, showing moments of intense fights and hurtful words exchanged between Jaejoong and Kim Jiyeon. They were both stubborn and hot-headed, often letting their emotions get the best of them. Their relationship became toxic, draining them both emotionally and mentally.

As the memories played out in Jaejoong's mind, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that he had escaped that toxic relationship. He had finally broken free from the cycle of pain and heartache.

But amidst of all these flashbacks, there was the same image that cut every memory. The scene of him kissing Su Jin.

Jaejoong tried to push himself harder in the gym, to forget everything but he couldn’t. He wiped the sweat off his forehead, and went to take a quick shower before returning home, to drink before going to bed. He knew the next day will be very hard for him to go to work, he was hoping it was the weekend, but it will be Friday.

The following morning, Su Jin awoke early, feeling somewhat calmer after her conversation with her brother. She resolved to give Jaejoong the benefit of the doubt and listen to his explanation before passing judgment.

As Su Jin drove to her apartment, she decided to call her friend Minju.

Minju's phone rang, and when Yoochun noticed the caller ID, he silently passed the phone to his wife, cautioning her, "Minju, please don't bring up yesterday. It'll only complicate things further." Minju met his gaze with a pained expression, uncertain of what to do, but she answered the call nonetheless.

"Hello, Unnie, how are you?" Su Jin greeted.

"Good morning, Jin, I'm well, and you?" Minju replied.

"Could be better. How's our little cutie pie?”

"She's doing great, itching to see her favorite auntie," Minju replied with a chuckle.

“I wanted to see you both, and I needed to talk to you about yesterday.”

"Hmm, what do you mean? Talk about what exactly?” Minju asked.

"Unnie, I'm sure you saw what Jae did. I think everyone did. I'm just trying to make sense of his actions.”

Yoochun, listening in on the conversation, signaled to his wife not to delve deeper. He wanted to address the issue with his friend first, hoping to prevent any rifts in their relationships.

“To be honest Jaejoong's actions were not right. But no one can explain the situation, only Jae oppa can. You need to sit and talk. Your relationship is now getting a shape, so don’t focus with little details and know where you are going.”

“I don’t know what’s happening, I feel used and humiliated in all aspects since day one in this arranged marriage…. I know you need to go to work, let’s all have dinner today.”

"Okay, sweetie. Talk to Jaejoong first, then we can all meet, either at home or our usual spot."

After exchanging farewells, she turned to her husband

“Better talk to your friend” He hugged her and nodded.

Jaejoong tried to call Su Jin in the morning, but her line was busy, as she was talking to her friend. He huffed as the thought of Su Jin ignoring him. But he soon brushed it away when he received a message from his wife.

**Sorry, I was on a call.**

Though her message was curt, Jaejoong was glad to hear from her.

**No worries, I just wanted to talk to you**

**Sure, we will all dine together** Jaejoong had hoped for a private conversation, but he agreed to meet with friends later.

Later that night, Su Jin, Junsu, Chang Wook and Jaejoong gathered at Yoochun and Minju’s house, opting for a cozy evening in with food ordered from home.

Jaejoong and Su Jin crossed paths in the building's parking lot. He waited for her to park before giving her a quick side hug.

“How are you doing Jin?”

“Good and you?”

"I'm good," he said, scratching the back of his neck, a bit unsure of how to broach the topic.

"I owe you an explanation for last night," he admitted. Su Jin nodded silently.

"I'm not sure what came over me. You seemed upset, and I felt pressured by all the questions about you. It was a moment of weakness, and I let my emotions get the best of me," he explained.

Su Jin didn’t answer, she just looked at him directly in the eyes. So he continued: “Im sorry if I confused you or hurt you.”

She nodded, attempting to brush off the situation. "I understand. It's fine.”

"Why were you upset? I could tell you were crying when came to the restaurant" he pressed.

"Just forget it. It's the same old story when we're with family, always asking about grandkids," she sighed.

With a sigh, Jaejoong spoke. "It's always the same old story,”

Jaejoong's bitterness seeped into his voice as he responded

"As if our worth as a couple is solely determined by our ability to reproduce. Marriage isn't just about having children. There are other priorities.”

Su Jin flinched at his harsh words, murmuring softly, "Yeah, I know."

"Don't think too much on what my parents say. They'll forget about this silly topic soon enough," he reassured her.

As they both entered the apartment, they quickly forgot their conversation, and Su Jin bent to play with Yoochun’s daughter. Meanwhile, Minju seemed to be giving Jaejoong the cold shoulder, pointedly ignoring him.

While they were sitting talking, Su Jin glanced at her phone to respond to a message, seizing the opportunity to check her Instagram. "Oh, look, Kim Jiyeon, the model, was at your friend's restaurant yesterday!" Su Jin exclaimed, showing them a picture from the model's social media account.

Jaejoong was caught of guard, he couldn’t answer, his reaction didn't go unnoticed. His sudden discomfort was evident, prompting Junsu to quickly intervene with a cover-up. “Yes she arrived late, after you left.” Su Jin nodded, but she was curious

“Was she a classmate of yours?”

Junsu continued “She was with Yoochun and Jaejoong.”

"Ah, interesting. I had no idea," Su Jin remarked.

Yoochun  turned to Su Jin, asking, "Are you following her on Instagram?"

"No, someone tagged me in the picture, asking if we were together since I posted about the restaurant.” Yoochun nodded.

“But guy, you never mentioned you were friends with a celebrity.” She then turned to Minju “ Unnie you knew?”

Minju was taken aback "No, I only found out yesterday,"

Finally, Jaejoong addressed his wife. "She wasn't a friend," he clarified.

Su Jin smiled knowingly. "Of course, I know you're not keen on celebrities, especially models."

Chang Wook changed the topic, and they spent the evening laughing and talking, mostly about what they did when Su Jin was in the US. During their time together, Su Jin couldn't help but notice Minju's subtle avoidance of Jaejoong. It was clear that something was amiss between them, though she chose not to pry. Instead, she focused on the lighter moments, relishing in the sense of camaraderie that filled the room.

Chapter 3: I have kinda forgotten that this was supposed to be an arranged marriage story. So I was gonna guess who her father was gonna set her up with XD my bad! Anyway, coming back to the chapter, she and her brother seems to have a good dynamic and/or chemistry between them. And talking about her brother, is that actor Ji Changwook? Just curious... Nonetheless, I will be back later to read more ^^

Chapter 2: The first thing I'm most curious about from this chapter is, what was the picture that YC took? I mean what is it that made Jaejoong angry. I'm really curious of that. Also, I was surprised too that she kept her promise with the employees when she returned to the lobby after the meeting. I had to Google who were Sidus HQ artists XD Was Kim Woo Bin under that agency back then? I found out Jay Park was (from Google) and for some reason I don't like him either. LoL... And she did the modelling for Balmain with Won Bin? Are you a fan of him? I'm just curious. Anyway, can't wait to read more. But will be back later to do so ^^

Chapter 1: That was an interesting start. Since she was a top model, they expected her to be cocky and arrogant but looks like they were just being stereotypical. Although, it makes me wonder if she's the same with everyone or was just being so, because the Kims were family friends. Nonetheless, I'm glad things worked out for Balmain CEO. Can't wait to see how things would develop herein. But will be back later to do so ^^

Hi there, I see that you are writing a JJ x OC fic. I would like to start reading this but before I did so, I just want to confirm that it's okay with you if I read one chapter at a time and left a comment after. Also, wanna confirm that YC doesn't play any major role in the story. Don't get me wrong. Things aren't exactly the same with my OT5 stuff ever since his crazy scandal. But if that would bother you, I will stay away. Anyway, hope to hear from you soon ^^
PS I read your post about not receiving comments. This site is slowly dying I guess. So there's not much readers here unless it's the super famous recent groups. So don't let yourself feel bad because of it.
