The Blue Prince Survivor pt. 1

The Mighty Five : The Blue Prince Survivor

CHAPTER XI

The Blue Prince Survivor

Day 6 - Sunday morning.

Ari's parents weren't home until late last night, so for a good scolding for running away hadn't been occurred. But the purple princess dreaded the first ray of sunlight to shine through her curtains and waking her up. Running away with Luhan had seemed like a good idea for bit of freedom for the both of them, but experiencing the nice Luhan was a rare, very rare thing for Ari, almost non existent. After the run, had had kind of a conversation. Luhan had asked about her health and the cut on her arm. She got from the hunters, that was now just a slight mark on her arm. Why would've Luhan asked about the cut on her arm if he didn't know? Did Kyungsoo tell him? Probably. She felt a slight change in the air, Luhan was changing, if it was good or bad she didn't know.

Slowly opening her eyes and rubbing the sleepiness away, she turned in her bed. Texting Joonmyun was the first thing on her mind. They would work on his control, shifting in and out his wolf, no emotions needed, because that he had under control. But she didn't know if it was that of a good idea, seeing he was still scared of wolves. She was to distracted by sending her text that she hadn't heard her doorknob turning.

"Morning" Her mother said, opening the door carefully. As fast as she could she muffled her phone under her cushion, making herself more suspicious. "What was that all about?" her mother motioning to her sudden reaction with her phone.

"Nothing" she said waving it away and sitting up, her back was against her wall. Covering her with the still warm duvet.

"Your father isn't pleased with you, you know that right? What were you thinking?" Bom said softly, yet an anger trace could be found in her voice. Bom made some place on the bed, by shoving her daughter aside. She sad next to her daughter on the fluffy bed. "What made you and Luhan think it was a good idea to run off like that?" Ari wasn't looking at her like she had wanted her too.

"I don't know" Ari murmured and shrugged her shoulders.

"Ari, look at me." The princess slowly turned her face to her mother. "I'm guessing this was Luhan's idea. Seeing however Minhyuk-si is keeping an eye on him 24/7 with all these hunters running around. But why did you do that? You never really liked Luhan and now you decide to make a run for it. Your father is going to lecture you when you go downstairs."

"I know. And I don't know why I did it. I guess I wanted to be free for once and Luhan was giving me. An opportunity for us both. I mean since they came to town, we are on house arrest. We want some freedom, we're suffocating" She silently said. "Nothing happened so dad can't be all that mad at least Luhan was with me."

"Oh, honey" She shook her head "Your dad is furious. Especially because you were with Luhan."

"Why?, he should be happy we finally agreed on something." Ari huffed.

"Yes, on something dangerous. We have hunters running around and the two heirs decide to simply run off." Bom let out a sigh. "I'm warning you, just don't do it again or your father will lock you in the highest and safest tower he can find and throw away the key, so you would be something like rapunzel." Bom stood up ready to leave her room. "Oh and Ari." The girl looked at her door where the female leader of the pack was. "Be carefull on your nightly outings" Ari eyes widened in surprise, never had she thought her mother would confront her with that. "Don't look at me like that, I've noticed you sneaking out."Her mother looked at her before sighing "Just be careful, okay. I won't stop you, it must be something important or you wouldn't do it. Just don't run too far and don't let your father catch you." with that the door was slammed shut. Ari looked terrified and got a shock. Her mother knows. But what exactly did she know? Did she know about training Joonmyun? Probably not or she would've said something, right? Uncertainty flowing in the purple princess, her little secret couldn't get out. What would she do if they knew? She could loose everything.

Joonmyun checked his phone and saw the message of Ari. He was lazily thumbing through the books he got from Ari. He got to chapter that said "THE UNSTOPPABLE RAGE". It was a short paragraph neatly penned in, but it wasn't Ari's writing.

Wolves have cravings, some to the point they can't control them and they stay in the trance forever. This is called the unstoppable rage. Not every wolf gets it, it's rare and an explainable rage. To switch of their humanity, is the first thing that will occur. Than they go on a hunting spree and kill everything in their path friend, family, mate, enemy or strangers, no one will be recognizable to him until he meets his match. The rage is stimulated by power and loss. Be sure to not give in, or you'll never come back. The rage has a side effect no one wants. He'll forget everything he did in that moment in time. How long it will be, he will not know nor will he know what happened to him or what had lead him to this.

The paragraph gave him chills, he didn't want to go in such a rage, this wasn't helping. Joonmyun turned the page and looked at a second set of the scribblings, thinking about why would this person scribble something in like that.

I'm sorry for what I did in my rage. I've killed innocent people (older and even my own age) and woke up somewhere bloody next to the body of my best friend, barely breathing, Luckily for me he was my match. Be careful of the rage, be careful of power. I don't want you to end up almost killing your best friend. -- L.

Joonmyun closed the book, the book had answered him. The blue omega couldn't help but think about the down side of being a wolf again. Ari showed him something wonderful but a wolf will always be this dangerous, animal and this paragraph proved it.

There was another book too, more like a note book. It had Ari's writing on it. THE BLUE PRINCE SURVIVOR & more. It was titled with little sketches. A girl and boy were presented with a grey blue eyed wolf. It was a striking fact the boy and girl were drawn with their back to the front. Joonmyun opened the book and saw different writings but in big letters Ari had written.

THIS BOOK IS PROPERTY OF THE MIGHTY FIVE.
To find their sixth. (what you can't find in the history books, because only we know)
Signed : Oh Sehun, Shim Tao, Lee Luhan, Wu Kris and Jin Ari.

There was a photo attached to it, where all of them couldn't be older than six, they were around a campfire by a lake. Joonmyun smiled, they must've been great friends and Ari looked cute, with her small frame and dark long hair, she was leaning her head on this blonde haired boy's shoulder and next to him was Luhan. Joonmyun looked at the small Luhan happily holding a stick with a marshmallow in the campfire. There were 2 other boys too. One big kid also blond who looked scared for some reason, a black haired boy with panda eyes next to him. They looked so happy though, Joonmyun never experienced something like this, he wasn't aloud to go on camping trips or playing with his neighbour at that age. Only Jongin and Chanyeol would come over occasionally. Joonmyun was intrigued by this, although he had a feeling Ari had given him one book too many. Still he couldn't help his curiousness and turned the page.

Ari's pretty handwriting went on. Joonmyun looked over it, the book looked a bit aged like ten years had passed but he had a feeling the book had been in use not so long ago. Some of the words were underlined, some were marked.

THE LEGEND

But to defeat all evil, they will need one more.
But one cannot die of pain, if they don't have the other.
All can die together, when one is killed.

Somehow he felt uncomfortable reading the blue highlighted part. He turned to the next page. Ari must've had the prettiest handwriting that time, everything was written in her handwriting except for the names.

THE STORY OF
THE BLUE PRINCE SURVIVOR

Joonmyun was ready to read the story, he couldn't help but feel that it was about him somehow. There was a light knock on his door. Xiumin came walking in with breakfast, for two as it seems. "Good morning" He placed the tray a table that had been Joonmyun's desk. Joonmyun looked at him and slowly pushed the book under his duvet, so the vampire wouldn't see what he was reading. Although it wasn't strange to find Joonmyun was up on a sunday morning with a book in his lap. This book might have been a problem, it was better to hide it.

"So" Xiumin turned around. "How about we have breakfast in bed and do something today? Together. It's been a while." Xiumin smiled at the kid he raised.

"What'd you have in mind?" Even though all the fuss going on, Joonmyun was happy to accept a free careless day, with the man who brought him up. He may have a little distrust in his guardian but none the less he loved him.

Xiumin smiled at the teenager and said "It's such a beautiful day, let's make a road-trip or go hiking in the mountains over there and than stay the night in the neighbouring town."

"Xiu?" Joonmyun crooked an eyebrow. The vampire watched him with longing eyes. "I have school tomorrow."

"I know, but don't worry I'll get you back in time." Xiumin smiled happily.

After an hour they drove up to the mountains behind the forest that was red and purple's territory. Happily humming to the song that was playing, they went further and further until the came upon a small like in front of the mountains. Xiumin knew exactly where he went, what was odd for the omega because he knew they never been here before, or he would've remembered. The vampire parked the car neatly and got everything out of the trunk they needed. Joonmyun followed him up to a mountain, you could see the gap in between the mountain they were at and the mountain across. It was so deep you couldn't even see the bottom, like a dark, cold bottomless hole. Xiumin nudged him and threw a rope at him, Joonmyun needly attached it around his body, Xiumin came up to him and checked if everything was in order.

Together they climbed the mountain at the most difficult path there was, even when under at the mountain there was a promenade path that lead to the top. It's been a while since the two of them were alone without Lay and went climbing for fun. Joonmyun believed it had been a year, on his sixteenth birth day. Xiumin took him out to the mountains and they hiked out there for 3 days, camping with a campfire at night, it was beautiful when the moon rose and he could have a complete view of their town.

It was fun, Lay would never let them have fun and on days like these, Xiumin was a father to him. That's how the omega felt, it was like a father son outing, but than without his real father, but than again he hadn't known anyone else rather than Xiumin. Joonmyun could see himself smiling, but something else, Ari's training made him faster, more agile so he moved faster over the rocks of the mountain. He was already ahead of Xiumin.

"You're getting old Xiu?" He yelled from the path he had reached, a small walkway to the top that hindered their path climbing to the top, exactly what you needed to take a rest. Xiumin smiled at his words. When Xiumin reached the path and sat on his , he opened the backpack he had with and took out two bottles of water. Joonmyun came to sit next to him and took the presented bottled he got of Xiumin.

"I can still kick your , boy" He nudged the teenager with his elbow, like a friendly fatherly push. Joonmyun felt happy for some reason. "We'll take a break here and than go up higher." Joonmyun nodded, while watching over the forest and the far away village, he drank of the bottle slowly. After half an hour they started to climb again, passing a cave on the way, and that was strangely the end of the path, but as you could see the path went through it so maybe it went just right through the cave. Xiumin had enough of climbing at that point and they took the hikers path through the cave.

Nearing the end of the cave a sudden strike of angst and fear came upon Joonmyun. He slowed down immensely. "Xiu!" Joonmyun gasped, breathing heavenly and unsteady. "Xiu!" Joonmyun was reaching for the vampire's hand.

Xiumin heard a hint of fear in Joonmyun's voice. He knew where he was but he didn't know why it was effecting the boy. The vampire grabbed the 17-year old and held him steady. Fear was rising in the boy and he couldn't do anything about it. "Myun-ah snap out of it." His concern was dripping from the tone of his voice, he couldn't do anything to help the omega. "Myun-ah Breath, please. What's going on?" Joonmyun didn't answer but looked at his guardian with shining blue eyes. Suddenly Joonmyun's senses reached their max and he could smell the fear of a little girl, from all those years ago. He could smell the faint smell of a little crying baby. All seemed to be to real for his taste. But he couldn't control it. He couldn't control it like he learned, there was something about this cave.

Xiumin stood up and hoisted the teen out of the cave. Joonmyun's sharp smell had let his vision to another part of the cave were a teared, spooky white-grey cloak waving through the air. There was something written on it but he couldn't see what because Xiumin was walking him out of the cave. The minute they were at the other side of the mountain a village was spotted not very diffirent from the red and purple's but it was also beset with a forest but also with mountains, it seemed like it was a small valley If you wouldn't hike you would never found this village, just pass by it.

Joonmyun had finally controlled the emotion and was now looking at Xiumin. "Good" he heard his guardian say concerned. "They're brown again, you had me scared for a second there Myun-ah."

The omega was mesmerized by the side of the fairytale village. They followed the path down, there was nothing than forest that met their way. "Shall we go super speed?" Xiumin offered, knowing they were both fast enough and no human was in side. Joonmyun nodded and what would've taken them an hour, took them a good ten minutes. They smiled when they reached the border. "Myun-ah, you're faster than before" Xiumin noticed. Joonmyun nodded, Ari's training hadn't been for nothing and he wasn't at least a bit out of breath when he reached that border.

The sun was slowly disappearing behind the mountains and chill of the night came upon them. They walked through the the town searching for some kind of hostel. Joonmyun noticed half of the town was abandoned and it seemed like it was burned down to the ground, you wouldn't have noticed it from the view of the mountain, because that was a part carefully hidden behind the trees.

Xiumin had found a hostel quickly, a few were around and that made it the fairytale sight of the view. It was a beautiful night out starry night, clear, shining moon. Joonmyun sat outside in the garden of the hostel, he was texting Ari, an hour ago she had send a message to meet him at the cabin, he just texted he couldn't make it, hoping Ari wasn't at the cabin yet. Xiumin was inside getting some food and drinks for later on. The vampire slowly approached the omega with the drink, he watched the kid looking at the moon who had risen in the night sky. it was so clear you almost didn't need a light. Carefully putting down the drinks on the table, he studied the kid.

"Beautiful night isn't it?" Xiumin asked. Joonmyun was still looking at the night sky, a little surprised he didn't hear him sitting down next to him. He gave a light 'hmm'. Xiumin shifted in his seat a bit uncomfortable, he had wanted to make this night special to tell Joonmyun something without Lay knowing about it. "So" he started.

"What is it, Xiu?" Joonmyun had felt the awkward uncomfortableness of his guardian. He stared straight at Xiu with wandering eyes.

"What would you say I.. euhm... would take you off these vitamins one of these days?" Xiumin was studying him, this week hadn't been easy on him; Joonmyun had refused to take the wolfsbane in a couple of times and he had to become a rock and push it down the boy's throat several times.

"You mean ... Really?" A flicker of excitement flared blue in Joonmyun's eyes. It wasn't that Joonmyun was very excited just the wolf within him and Xiumin knew it.

"Yeah, I want to see how you do without them for a couple of days only. the experience has not been the best last weekend because you suddenly decided to quit them and I wasn't really prepared for the reaction it might give when you're off." Xiumin shrugged and knew once Joonmyun was off all wolf power would kick in all at once. But still he hoped the 'sleeping' wolf in his teenager would take it slow.

"When?" The omega gave an excited yelp and wanted to start right away, his wolf had kicked in a bit eyes shining bright blue against the night sky.

"Don't get excited that fast, by the end of the week. we'll start on thursday. Now let's eat and sleep, you have school tomorrow." The vampire smiled at Joonmyun and the whole evening went further in silent.

Sunday evening

Luhan had been locked up in the house for the whole day. After his little escape with Ari he had to feel the wrath of his father. For the first time in his life he had finally got a descent talk with Ari and it had all be ruined by the stupid rules. Minhyuk wasn't happy about Luhan either and his mother Yewon could do nothing but watch and see his father go all mad, so here he was in his room with his science homework on his bed. All books and notes were spread out. It was already dark outside, dark starry night, slightly brightened up from the moon. He couldn't help but think that something was wrong tonight.

He went to his bedroom window and looked longingly to the mountain tops were the 5 of them used to go. Since the last pack was extinct the leader children hadn't been together. Accept for him and Ari. How fun would it be to camp out at the lake and just be together all of them. As many nights before he tried to contact Sehun but was left with a dead end. Something else was pulling him though, it wasn't Sehun or Tao, nor was it Ari or Kris. Suddenly he was looking at the night sky in a whole other angle, he was right under it, outside in the warm evening. It felt nice, to be outside like this, he couldn't feel anything but relaxation and happiness.

Once he realised he wasn't in his own body, but in someone else's, he began to panic. Joonmyun. He said through the connection, this wasn't right. Was the omega in danger? The connection? He really was a blue, but in danger he was not. But that couldn't be it, cause not a hint of fear was detected in Joonmyun, a bit of confusetion but no fear. The senses slowly started to kick in, first was sight, than feeling now he could hear everything.

"What is it, Xiu?" You're with the enemy, that's what it is.

"What would you say I.. euhm... would take you off these vitamins one of these days?"  What vitamins, omega.

"You mean ... Really?"

"When?"

"Don't get excited that fast, by the end of the week. we'll start on thursday. Now let's eat and sleep, you have school tomorrow."

YAH, KIM JOONMYUN WHAT VITAMINS ARE YOU TAKING? Luhan was shouting through the connection but he didn't got an answer back, ugh you stupid omega. He scolded. He was quickly disconnected, but when he looked at his own reflection in his bedroom window his eyes were fading from blue to brown. Without him knowing he had plumped down on the floor and was now left with a very bad headache.

He needed to find out what vitamins that the little omega was taking. If he could connect with him and his eyes turned blue he had to be a leader child, the lost leader child in the stories they used to tell him. Ari's so called prince, when they were 7. The girl wouldn't stop going on and on about the blue one, he hated it when the story was brought up by her. THE BLUE PRINCE SURVIVOR, she called it. They even had a book about it they wrote every event down, every aspect. The last time Luhan had seen it was when Sehun disappeared. He had written the part about Sehun so Luhan had it last and one day it disappeared just like that. Everything was in there, their connection and what they could do with it, their special trainings, the legend, the blue prince's story and disappearance of Sehun and Tao. Who ever got this book, got all their secrets.

Day 7 - Monday : School

"Well, good morning everyone, hope you had a great weekend." Mrs Lee said -Mrs. Lee Dara, purple beta wolf, wife of Lee Donghae, purple alpha wolf and very close with Ari's father. The purple princess was still a bit agitated and really careful of her following steps her dad wouldn't let her off easy next time. Ari was also mad that she couldn't meet Joonmyun last night, he simply brushed her off, with an I can't come tonight, a half hour later. Now he wasn't even at school yet, what was going on?

But when she finally paid her attention to the teacher she was met with a family member rather than her teacher Mrs Jeon. Soon enough every single teacher will be changed into a wolf, Ari thought, to 'protect' them. "I'll be your new teacher, Mrs Lee and you'll be getting Science from me. Please take your seats in alphabetical order." With that Ari smiled a bit. Jin and Kim followed one another but Lee too, Lee as in Lee Luhan. Ari so hoped there was another one placed in between Joonmyun and Luhan, they hadn't had a great start and it didn't seem that it would better. But then there was Kim Jongin, hunter protector of the blue prince. Although not so fortunate for Luhan and herself but placed on another table.

"Mrs Lee?" Jongin with his sarcastically sweet voice. "Why didn't you put Kim and Kim together, I'm pretty sure that I'm supposed to be in between, as you put us alphabetically."

Dara's face flinched, she had put the three wolves together for their own safety, and since they didn't know what color Joonmyun was yet but with the threat of the hunters, they couldn't afford to loose a wolf, any wolf, so she had put him in between the leader children.

"AAh, Mr Kim" She said with some distaste, they knew Joonmyun was not an ordinary omega, the rumours had spread and she knew about the two hunter protectors of the omega. "Well, as you can see that table is full, so do what I say and go sit in the appointed seat, thank you." Jongin whispered something under his breath, although Joonmyun wasn't here today, he couldn't help but protect the 'vampire' child. He needed to or his head was on a stick before he could say auw.

Next course was not better. Minhyuk had his replacement for Luhan's protection, Luhan came in and he saw Yook Sooyoung, red alpha and wife of Yook Sungjae, right hand of his father.  The red prince sighed and went to his bench. "Hey class" a very happy and seemingly excited Mrs Yook stood in front of the class "I'm Mrs Yook and I'll be your subtitute for History." Yet another protest came out of the classroom.

"Why? and for how long?" A normal human boy named Lee Jeongmin asked.

Mrs. Yook smiled a great toothy smile, somehow mischievous, but cute "Well" She looked down on the list with students names "Jeongmin, right?" The boy nodded. "Your teacher has fallen sick all of a sudden and I was available, I don't know for how long. I guess until everything is cleared." Her stare wasn't at Jeongmin anymore, she looked around and focused on Chanyeol and Kai. "Open your books on page 127. World War II." Chanyeol and Kai hadn't spotted the red alpha woman yet, they felt a bit uncomfortable by the sudden stare.

"Is there a reason why the teachers are falling sick so suddenly today?" Jeongmin went further. Sooyoung's face changed, she hadn't really thought of that, so she hadn't got an answer ready. She rapidly made up that there was a flew going around and a lot of teachers had fallen sick. Jeongmin seemed content about the answer and opened his book on the destined page.

*obvious* Luhan coughed and give her the stink eye. She had to quit  to be obvious about being a wolf. Luhan turned to Ari, who was trying to send unnoticeable letters to Joonmyun. Who had arrived just before the 2nd class started. He observed her and saw a small smile forming on her face. He could see that she really liked him. Joonmyun was going to die, the fact that Luhan now knew who he was and he was sure. But Luhan couldn't kill the omega, because the fact that he was blue, they made a promise to never kill a blue, to not threaten a blue, to always protect the one that was blue. The Mighty Five made that promise one night on a camping trip with their parents, when it was all good and no one knew of the danger. They were 6 and made a small campfire where they stood united and spoke the promise out. So Joonmyun had to live. In Luhan's eyes however he was a threat and coming here with the enemy didn't solve that problem, it made it bigger. Not alone that but the fact that Ari liked him.

Ari could feel someone watching her, she looked to her left and met Luhan's eyes, mad and somehow dreamy all at the same time. The purple princess tried to figure out what was going on, but than the bell rang of the mid-break. She took her books and went outside. Maya, Bae and Li were chatting about the special event Mr. Lee had prepared. It was a secret and everyone was excited. The only thing they had read on the announcement boards that it was this friday, it was supposed to be fun and most importantly safe, in groups of 5.
