I almost choke when she turned around to look at me. Am I dreaming? What is she doing here? She smiled and slowly walks to my direction.

“Oh~ you’re here.”  She said as soon as she stops in front of me. She raised her hand to touch my cheek lovingly. “You must be very tired.”  Staring at me, she roughly pursed her lips together before giving out a thin smile.  “Hhhmm..You go and change first while I prepare the table. You have to eat before going to bed.” She squeezed my shoulders then slowly ran her hands on my arms before letting me go.

I was observing her the whole time, a little baffled.  Just as I was about to set her free, she appears in front of me again. So many thoughts were running on my mind but nothing came out of my mouth. I just kept on gazing at her. She was about to leave when my hand acted on its own and grasp her wrist. She stopped on her track and look at me.

“Why are you here?”  I muttered without facing her.

“I’ll explain later. I need to turn off the stove before the house gets burn.”

“It’s already off.”  I stated void of any feelings.

I heard her chuckled. The heck she has the nerve to chuckle in this situation!!! She slightly turned to pat my back with her other hand, lean closer, and whisper on my ears that gives chill down my spine, “You need to hurry then ... before the soup gets cold.”  Slowly she untangled my hand from her wrist and went to the kitchen.

I was flabbergasted. I creased my forehead as nothing makes sense. Am I dreaming? I have been trying to talk to her - to see her for like weeks and now suddenly she appears in front of me - all smiles.  

Dara’s POV

I sensed that someone was in the room with me so I turn around and there I saw the man I longed for ... but he doesn’t look as good as I expect him to be. He’s thinner, his shoulders are slump, and his eyes are weary. He is very frail....  but more human; no sparks. My hero, Kim Jaejoong, is not invincible after all.

I started to move towards him and despite his piercing gaze I was unmoved. I found my hand on his cheek and I realize that his temperature is much higher than mine.  My heart ached and how badly I wanted to hug him but I didn’t.

The moment he stop me, I hid a smile before turning to face him. I know he is confuse and has so many questions but now’s not the time to talk... or even argue.  The sole purpose I am here is to take care of him and I plan it to be that way until he feels better.  Yes, I plan to avoid any conversation regarding our current status.... at least until he gets better.

Actually, I didn’t really plan to be where I am right now – All thanks to Su Young. She called me while I was at practice asking if I am free in the afternoon and wanted to meet me at her mother’s restaurant.  She said auntie wants to see me over something and said it in a very serious tone that I don’t even have the heart to refuse.

I arrived at the restaurant panting at around 2:30pm and the moment I enters a grinning Su Young greeted me and auntie looked surprise to see me.

“Oh~ Dara-ah, annyeong. Why are you here?” Auntie asked.

I looked at Su Young and she smiled sheepishly. “Umma, she’s going to take the soup to Joongie.”

My mouth hanged open. What!!!  What soup??

I forced a smile and nodded.... then pulled Su Young to the corner.

“Yah~ what are you doing? What soup? Don’t you remember what I told you the last time we met? “

“Unnie, we can’t just give up. When I told you about Joongie’s health, you were obviously worried. Don’t even try to deny it. Besides, I remember very clearly you said that you’re going to see him when he gets back.”

“Yes, I was but this morning you said he’s feeling better right?” I cooed raising a brow.

“Yes... better but it doesn’t me that he has recovered.”

I creased my forehead.

“Unnie, Joongie’s far from being healthy.“  I kept silent so she continues, “Didn’t you check online? I don’t even have to tell you... Fan Accounts and News from Indonesia’s all over.”

“What happened? I was dead beat last night... we practice until 2 am.”

“Apparently, he’s far from being better. He needs to rest badly and regain his voice before the movie premieres.....  and he needs you... to take care of him.”

“Did he say so?”  I highly doubt.

“No... I just voice out his thoughts.”     She said cheekily.     *GRINS*

“Kim Su Young~!!!”

“Unnie.....”  She whined.   “Just do this... for Joongie’s sake. I know you’re worried. Jebal~ “   I continue looking at her as thoughts battles in my mind.   “Promise... if nothing good comes out of this. I will not interfere anymore. This will be our last card. You said you’re going to do your best, right? “   I nodded absentmindedly.  “...  then this will be your perfect opportunity. Unnie.... give it your all and if it doesn't work then we’ll stop.”

“Okay... arasso...”  I agreed nervously.  Will this work? I thought. Su Young’s actually right. I did say I will do my best and giving up before I can even start was such a coward act. I can do this ... I must do this.... one last time with sincerity.

Jaejoong POV’s  

Lying in bed looking at the ceiling and thinking what on earth got into Dara’s mind. Is heaven playing games on us?

Our meal was full of silences and stolen glances. We’ll basically it was I who kept on glancing at her while she was eating happily. I tried to open a conversation but every time I utter a word she will brush me off and say that I am not allowed to talk... doctor’s order. What the...!!!  After a few attempts, I gave up.

Apart from my confusion and the awkwardness surrounding us, I can’t help but feel happy. She’s very beautiful, as always and for the first time I feel like a baby... more like a prince being pampered by his princess except that she’s not my princess anymore.    *SAD*      She doesn’t even allow me to move around the house and help her. When I was done eating she was firm on doing everything and told me to go and rest, so now here I am doing exactly as I am told. How long has she been waiting for me? When did she learn to cook? Where is she? What took her so long? Don’t tell me she left? I panic that I hastily sat up and while I was trying to put on my slippers....

“Joongie, are you alright?” I heard her voice that my head immediately turn to where it came from. She was standing by the door looking worried.

“Huh? I... I...”   I rake my head for alibis to hide my embarrassment.  “Oh~ I just need to pee... Yes, pee... I am going to pee.”  I rushed to the toilet and locked the door. WHAT!!!!!!! Gawd!! Do I really have to repeat it over and over? Jesus, why am I nervous? And.... blushing... as I saw myself in the mirror.

When I came out, I saw Dara comfortably sitting on my bed, her back leaning on the headboard with her cell phone on hand. I stand rooted taking in the beautiful sight until she notices me.

“Do you like the view?”  She asked playfully.

“Huh??”   Waking me from my trance.

She patted the space beside her and said, “Come... come here so you can rest.”

“Are you not going home yet?” I asked nonchalantly as I walk towards her.

“No... Not until you are sleeping.”

“Aren’t you busy?”  I asked as I went under the cover.

“I am ... but I can manage.“  She cooed as she helps me settle.

“You better go home now. It’s getting late and you need to rest too.”  I muttered as I turn my back on her.

“Are you in a hurry to get rid of me?”   I did not answer because with all honesty I don’t want her to go. In fact I wanted her to sleepover.    “... because it’s not working.”

A small smile appeared on my face that I had to stop myself from turning over and hug her.

There was nothing but silence inside my room. Dara was just there sitting beside me. It was hard for me to sleep even though I'm sick and I kept on fidgeting when suddenly I felt her inch lower and lay down beside me. My body stiffened when she wrap her arm on my waist and I can feel her breathe on my back; but it didn’t last long for my body to relax and enjoy the feeling and soon I dozed off.
