Yvonne POV

-Continuation of Flashback-

“In there,” he pointed to my heart, “Am I really gone?”

I looked at him and suddenly images appeared, the first time we held hands, the first time he took me to the mall, the first time he broke my heart, and the first time he came back to me.

“I don’t know,” I answered softly, then gradually my voice became louder. “On some days I hate you so much that even seeing the letter L makes me mad. On other days I miss you so much that everything I see reminds me of you and it makes my heart hurt.”

L gave you a sad smile, he only then realised exactly how much harm he had done to you, “I’m sorry Yvonne, if I could change the past I would.” If I could change myself I would…

I shrugged, “It doesn’t matter.” Everything’s been settled, it’s too late…

L bent his head. So she didn’t give me a yes or a no… sigh we’re back to where we started… I guess I needed more time…

L typed something on to my phone then gave it to me.

“That’s my new number. You still have a month to think about LA, give me a call when you’re ready.”

I barely heard what he has said. I stared at my screen with 112 messages and 78 missed calls.

I listened to the first message.

“UNNIE WHERE ARE YOU?! JESSICA IS AT THE HOSPITAL-…”

And I right away grabbed my jacket, running out of the door forgetting about everything that had just happened.

“Miss?” the chauffeur gently shook me and I realised that we were already in front of my house.

I got out of the car and slowly walked towards the door acting like I’m reaching for my keys.

After I heard the car drive away I let my hands down and just stood in front of the door fully well aware that Kai was on the other side and I had no idea how to face him.

All the lights in the house were suddenly and the clear sound of someone running downstairs could be heard, not a second later the door was flung open. Kai stood on the other side looking panic struck.

“Yvonne,” Kai’s voice cracked, he pulled me inside and closed the door.

I raised my head looking at him but not really seeing him.

Kai wrapped his arms around me tightly and hid his face in my neck; “Yvonne I’m so sorry,” Kai hugged me like I was his lifeline.

“Please Yvonne, talk. You’re scaring me…”

I tried hard to concentrate on what he was saying but Krystal’s voice kept on repeating inside my head.

“Kai fricken ran Jess over with his car…”

“Kai! Kai did everything! He did this to Jess!”

“Unnie I swear if you don’t break up with him after this I am never talking to you again!”
