Kai POV

I woke up in the middle of the night and found myself in the kitchen. I guess I must’ve fallen asleep in the middle of sorting my feelings out. After killing millions of brain cells I still couldn’t come up with an answer. All I can say is that I don’t like how close she is to Myungsoo and I also don’t like how protective Myungsoo is of her. Now that Kimie already broke up with me I should hate Yvonne more right? But then again if Kimie had never existed then would I have just fallen for Yvonne? As for my feelings right now… well I just suffered through a broken heart and Yvonne is a really pretty fiancée… its hard okay?

I pulled the blinds open and looked outside, it was already pitch black so I decided to just go to bed, and hopefully the next day when I wake up I’ll turn back to the old Kai that just plainly hates Yvonne, I’ll find a way to break the engagement, then she can live happily ever after with Myungsoo or whoever. Yeah that’s exactly what I’m going to do… tomorrow.

I turned off the kitchen light and the room filled with darkness except for the cracks light that crept from upstairs. I looked at the clock on the kitchen stove.

1:15 am

What is she doing up so late again? Her ex-boyfriend is not bothering her right? I thought back to the article I never finished reading. I need to finish it… after I check on her.

I went upstairs quietly and peeked the door opened a bit, then just let myself in when I realised that Yvonne was asleep on the desk.

The desk was covered with sheets of paper and crumpled balls of paper.

“I thought Myungsoo said you had OCD?” I muttered to myself as I gathered some of the paper together. “What are all these anyways?” My eyes caught a sticky note.

The reports and graphs are needed for tomorrow’s convention.

 My head turned to the papers I had in my hands. I scanned the first page, then the second, then the third; I looked between Yvonne, her open laptop, and the graphs of their company’s recent sale rates.

“My mom’s academy, she said she’s giving me some files and stuff from the company…”

Those words rung over and over again inside my head, I face palmed. Kai you idiot, she wasn’t bluffing, she really had work to do… now thanks to you she has to stay up…

I gathered all the scattered sheets of paper and settled down on the other end of Yvonne’s desk. I went through some of the files, most were just reports summarising the marketing, and selling rates that needed organisation, not anything I haven’t done before. However the load was shocking, and there was no way I was going to finish it by tomorrow morning.

I rested my chin on my elbow and wondered if I should wake Yvonne up. Two people should be able to finish it.

“Umma but I don’t want to leave…” Yvonne startled me as she muttered in her sleep.

A frown was now forming on her peaceful face, and her cherry lips pouted. I took out my phone and snapped a picture; I could feel a wide smile on my face as I carried out the crime.

Ha now I can blackmail you I thought evilly. Or… you can just make it your wallpaper and brag to everybody that you have the prettiest fiancée in the world, a second voice popped in. Or you can do both, the third voice suggested, and I nodded my head in satisfaction.

I grabbed a blanket from the bed and draped it over Yvonne, “I’ll let you keep sleeping since you look cute.” I smiled as the frown on Yvonne’s
