'Baby...I'm in love with you.'

It was enough for Minzy hearing those words, and they caused her knees to grow weak. She could hear the sincerity coming from his voice. The innocence he carried, and also the desperation that followed. She had never dreamt of someone ever confessing to her this way, or even confessing for that matter. The most important part was, she actually liked him back. All thoughts of anyone else were pushed away and the only person on her mind was Kai. She couldn't manage replying to his words of confession, but instead held him tighter, letting him know through her actions that she accepted him, and she didn't need to speak for him to understand.

The two stayed standing at the door, arms enveloping the other's body, like as If it were the last time they'd ever see the other. The room filled with silence, and the only thing that could be heard was their soft, silent breathing. It wasn't until a few minutes when Kai slowly let go of the younger girl, gently pushing her to walk towards the bed, where they both sat quietly. The two idols had only drunk small amounts of alcohol earlier that night, but it was enough for them not to feel shy and timid. Kai started a small staring contest with Minzy as he slowly reached over and gently grazed her thigh, tracing his fingertips along her covered skin. Minzy didn’t waver. She didn’t gasp. She kept staring back at him, her eyes communicating with Kai telling him she was definitely okay with what he was doing. The boy took it as an indicator to edge a little closer towards her, and Minzy gladly let her hand rest between Kai’s shoulder and chest. Simultaneously, they both inched closer and closer until their faces were merely inches apart, and Kai’s lips were dangerously hovering near Minzy’s, whose stare still didn’t leave those enticing eyes. Kai was inexperienced, and he barely knew anything in regards to ‘love’ nor did he really care for such things in the past. He didn’t know he could come to desire a person in such a way and for some reason, he knew exactly what he wanted to do. He knew he wanted to have Minzy all to himself, and he was more than willing to give the girl his first kiss. His eyes finally left her gaze, his main focus being the soft, plump pair of lips right in front of him. Minzy wished for him to slightly hurry up his actions, even If the suspense was what made it even better, that feeling in her stomach never going away. Finally, Kai was done waiting as he closed his eyes and bridged that tiny gap, giving Minzy his first and what he thought was her first kiss.

Minzy couldn’t describe how she was feeling, the sensation in her stomach having changed into a whole new feeling that she could have never predicted. She felt her heart stop, and it was all from having Kai’s lips firmly pressed on hers. A simple kiss, that became exciting the longer they held it, both not wanting to pull back. Given it was two inexperienced people, there was no further moving of their lips, but just having them mold together was enough for Kai to go crazy. Neither idol knew how long they shared their kiss, but somewhere along the line, Kai had moved his hands to rest at Minzy’s waist, his slender fingers unintentionally tickling the shape of her body, sending shivers down the girl’s spine, who responded by slowly bringing her hand over to trace down Kai’s thigh, and that was when the simple kiss stopped. Kai couldn’t help but want more as he started moving his lips across Minzy’s, attempting to deepen the intimacy they were already feeling, even if for his first time it was slightly messy, but Minzy wouldn’t know If it were anyway. He slightly tilted his head to the side, as his lips began moving faster, almost biting on Minzy’s lips, who in turn, gripped onto Kai’s thigh, unintentionally letting a small moan escape that was just music to Kai’s ears. It was a bizarre, yet exciting sound that only made Kai push himself further onto Minzy, causing her to lean back and almost drop her body onto the bed. Their lips hadn’t parted once since they had started, the new feeling of eagerness consuming them. It seemed there was nothing that could ruin the moment, all up until the sound of a familiar song suddenly filled the room.

‘Wow! Fantastic Baby!’

Kai and Minzy immediately opened their eyes and looked at each other in confusion. Kai pulled back abruptly, breaking the connection of their lips as Minzy sat up properly, digging her phone of her pocket while still feeling a faint blush on her cheeks. She and Kai were both still breathing heavily, each trying to gain some air after their much longer than anticipated kiss. Minzy let out a heavy breath, before taking her phone out from her pocket.

‘H-Hello?’ She tried to regulate her breathing. Next to her, Kai continued catching his breath, his heartbeat not planning to slow down anytime soon. He glanced at Minzy, who was speaking into her phone and unknowingly kept his stare on her lips, smiling embarrassingly as he traced his own lips with his fingers.

‘Luhan Oppa…’ Minzy frowned. ‘Do you need something?’

Upon hearing his hyung’s name, Kai couldn’t help but let a small groan escape his mouth. Why was he calling her anyway?

‘No no, you didn’t. We’ll come down right now….uhuh, okay. See you soon.’ She hung up.

‘What did he want?’ Kai asked, sounding a little more annoyed than he intended.

‘Apparently Dara unnie wanted everyone to gather back at 2NE1’s room so we can take some group photos.’ Minzy shrugged.

‘Her timing could’ve been a bit better because we were……um..’ He paused, feeling too embarrassed to finish his sentence. Minzy smiled sheepishly before getting up.

‘Let’s go down for now. I’m really curious as to how Krystal is doing actually…’ Minzy rushed to the door, her back facing Kai as she twiddled with her fingers nervously.

‘Wait.’ Kai walked over to the door and took a hold of Minzy’s wrist. ‘Minzy…are we….good?’

‘Good?’ Minzy repeated, looking at Kai nervously. ‘Ye-Yeah…we’re good.’

‘I’m sorry…that sounded so lame of me. Let me do it again.’ Kai shook his head. He turned Minzy around to face him and held her hands in his. A small surge of courage found its way for him to say 6 words that were stuck inside his mind.

‘Will you go out with me?’ He looked at her eyes, fighting the temptation to try and kiss her again.

Although she really wanted to hear those words come out of Kai’s mouth, she hadn’t prepared on how to respond to it. Wasn’t it just a simple yes-no question though? Her mind was telling her to say yes, but something in her gut made her a bit hesitant.

‘Minzy?’ Kai called upon seeing the girl scrunch up her face.

Screw this. Minzy thought. ‘Yes. My answer is yes.’ She smiled nervously. Kai let out a small sigh of relief before taking Minzy in his arms again.

‘Thankyou…..’ He whispered against her hair. Minzy returned the hug and smiled. Yes... this is right. She thought. But her smile slowly faded, something that Kai didn’t see.

2NE1’s Room

 ‘Oppa…what is that?’ Minzy pointed towards one of the beds, where her leader CL was currently resting her head on the shoulder of none other than Kris, who had his hands resting at the girl’s waist.

‘Kris and CL sunbae? They’ve been like that for a while.’ Luhan smiled at Minzy’s disgusted face. ‘Does it bother you that much?’

‘Well of course it does. Kris and I aren’t exactly tolerant of each other and Chaerin unnie must’ve drunk a lot because she only lets GD Oppa be that close to her.’ Minzy shuddered. ‘Chaerin unnie better not have feelings for your jerk of a leader. No offense Oppa.’

‘None taken.’ Luhan shook his head. ‘So back to my question. Why aren’t you sitting with Kai?’

Minzy took a big sip of the beer bottle in her hands and nodded quickly. ‘He seems to be having fun right where he is.’ She replied, pointing to a laughing Kai that was talking with Sehun.

‘You two are so shy.’ Luhan smirked. ‘Purposely not sitting close with each other.’

‘I don’t want people to know yet.’ Minzy pouted. That part was true, to a certain extent. Another reason Minzy had decided not to hang around Kai since they came to the room was because she was slightly, maybe more than a little unsatisfied. But she couldn’t figure out why. She came to fall for the guy, and he wholeheartedly confessed to her, even sharing an amazing kiss with her.

‘Well I’ll celebrate because I’m the first one to know. Cheers!’ Luhan clinked his bottle with Minzy, who rolled her eyes and sipped her beer as well. She sighed to herself, watching Kai from across the room looking as happily as ever, which made her grin to herself.  Yes, Kai is mine now. She happily thought. And with that, she decided to brush off her earlier doubts for the moment and thought she’d just enjoy the rest of the night with all of the YG/SM idols.

‘Maknae-ah, let’s do a shot together!’ Seungri wedged himself between Minzy and Luhan.

‘Alright let’s do it!’ Minzy grinned as she walked over to the Big Bang’s little circle, followed by Luhan.

‘Aish you’re going to make my maknae drunk! Be responsible!!’ Bom who was red faced, shuffled over and slapped Seungri on the arm.

‘Noona you’re drunk already, you can’t say anything!’ He rubbed his arm and pouted.

‘I’M NOT!’ Bom yelled a little too loudly, taking a big gulp of whatever was in her glass.

‘Someone get her water…’ Daesung shook his head.

‘I’ll do it I’ll do it!’ D.O appeared out of nowhere and somehow successfully dragged the whining girl away.

‘Now Cheers!!!!’ The rest of Big Bang, Minzy and Luhan shouted before downing their shots.

‘Oh Minzy sunbae, over here too!’

Minzy turned around and saw Sehun motioning her to join his circle with Kai, Chen and Tao. She giggled and nearly tripped when she stood up, shuffling her way over to the EXO members who were waiting for her to join them. She sat next to Kai, smiling at him before taking the shot glass in Sehun’s hand and drinking up with them too.

‘Cheers!’ They drank their shots.

‘Don’t…don’t drink too much.’ Kai looked at the girl in concern. Minzy rocked her head from side to side and just waved her hand dismissingly at him. ‘I’m okay, I’m okay. Let’s do another.’ She suggested, taking her hand out and looking at Sehun to give her another shot.

‘Sehun…don’t-‘

‘Aw that’s no fun Kai. We’re here to enjoy ourselves.’ Chen sang, nudging Kai in the waist, who in return glared at him.

‘Thankyou~’ Minzy gladly took the shot glass that was filled to the brim. She clinked her glass with Sehun and they both quickly gulped down their shots. Sehun, surprisingly a heavy drinker, was up to his 7^th shot of the night and no one could tell whether he was even tipsy yet. Minzy on the other hand, was noticeably redder than before. Kai shot Sehun a glare because he seemed to be pouring another shot for the girl.

‘Minzy please…can you at least drink a little bit of water? Or maybe just lie down for a bit?’ He begged.

‘Pshh, don’t worry about me.’ Minzy rolled her eyes at him while patting his cheek endearingly, an action that surprised both Tao and Chen.

‘You two are pretty chummy together…’ Tao smirked mischievously. ‘Are you dating?’

‘That’s..a secret!’ Minzy had her index finger at her lips. Had she not drunk, she wouldn’t have done that and Kai knew he had to get the girl away from anymore alcohol.

‘Mind your own business hyung.’ Kai growled. Tao looked at the boy in surprise and put his hands in front of his face. ‘Okay I’ll back off. Chen hyung, go get Minzy some water.’

‘No I’ll go and do it myself.’ Minzy stumbled to get up, laughing as she did it. Kai watched as she weirdly walked over to the drinks area. Over there, Bom was busy mixing yet another drink for herself and Minzy tapped her on the shoulder, giggling.

‘Bom unnie I thought D.O-ssi was giving you some water.’

‘He did he did, but I’m seriously fiiiiiiine. I’ll make you one too!’ Bom happily nodded, completely having forgotten her outburst earlier about feeding 2NE1’s maknae drinks.

15 minutes later, Kai was searching around the room looking around for Minzy, who he thought would come sit back with him after getting some water. His eyes quickly scanned around the room, only to spot Luhan having his arms wrapped around Minzy’s shoulder. Subconsciously glaring at him, he wasted no time in stomping over to the 2 strangely close idols.

‘Minzy, I hope you’re drinking water.’ He deadpanned, but Minzy wasn’t aware of his serious tone and shook her head while laughing.

‘Bom made me a special mix! Want some?!’

Kai sighed in frustration under his breath, then looked at Luhan, who was clearly enjoying the over smiling Minzy that he currently had his hands on.

‘Hyung…can’t you at least get her to drink some water?’

‘Woah calm down Kai, I wasn’t the one who gave her the drink. She'll be fine.’

‘Yeah, but you could at least try and take care of her.’ Kai snatched the drink out of Minzy’s hands, much to the girl’s dismay. He shoved it in Luhan’s free hand, before yanking Minzy by the arm and taking her away from his hyung. The last thing he needed was for Minzy to hang around his hyung, (who she was unusually so friendly with)  when she was likely to do something stupid.

‘Kaiiiiiii!’ Minzy whined. ‘I was having so much fun talking with Luhannie Oppa.’

Luhannie? Kai frowned to himself. ‘You’ve clearly had enough to drink. PLEASE lie down or have some water, I’m begging you.’ Kai pleaded.

‘Fiiiine. If you insist…Jongin~’ Minzy replied, immediately turning around and heading to the front door. Kai widened his eyes upon hearing his real name come out of Minzy’s mouth, but frowned when he realised she led him to the door.

‘What are you doing?’

‘Going to your rooooom. Where else? How am I supposed to sleep here when it’s too loud? It has to be your room right, Jongin?~’ She cutely tilted her head to the side, not aware of how much Kai began secretly enjoying her current behavior.

‘O..Okay.’ He blushed as she swiftly opened the door and they made their way back to Kai’s room.

‘It’s so much nicer here!’ Minzy immediately jumped on the edge of the bed, motioning Kai to sit next to her. ‘Come here come here!’ She called like a child.

Kai tried his best not to grin as he quickly poured the girl a glass of water. He handed it to her and waited for her to finish before taking it back and settling it down on the floor.

‘You’re drunk. Babo.’ Kai flicked her forehead.

‘Oppa, don’t do that~’ She pouted in response, a face that Kai couldn’t help but smile at.

‘You’re calling me Oppa again.’

‘Because…because we’re dating now aren’t we?’

Kai smiled even more, taking his hand in hers.

‘Yes. We are.’

‘Lucky me. You’re so hot Jongin.’ Minzy giggled, opening her arms out and pulling Kai into a hug. Kai laughed to himself at how different Minzy was like this, and a part of him didn’t mind at all that the girl was drunk.

‘I’m the lucky one.’ He replied, hugging her back just as tight.
