Yoona looked around her hospital room. She had been staying there for two days, Jiyong never leaving her side. But right at this moment, it looks like GD wants to be anywhere but here inside her room.

While her umma was still fussing over her, her older sister, Im Yoorim and her father were both staring down her husband. Yoona swears GD would be melting any second now.

She cleared and managed to stop her mom from fussing over her. “Ji, do you mind getting me something to drink? Something from that coffee shop down the street.”

She could see that relief that flooded on GD and his eyes twinkled with gratefulness. He then proceeded to politely ask Yoona’s family if they want something as well. Her mom gave her order but the two stone statues just glared at him so Jiyong went out of the room utterly embarrassed and sad.

When GD was out, Yoona crossed her arms in an intimidating way and had her stare of her own to match her sister’s and her father’s. “Alright, let it all out, appa, unni. What’s your problem with Jiyong?”

“You know damn well our problem with your husband!” Yoorim started.

“Yoorim-ah, language.” Her mother reprimanded.

“He left you, Yoong!” Yoorim ignored their mother. “On your darkest days, he ing left you! It’s bad enough that you don’t have the heart to tell us about your sub-unit comeback with your stupid excuse for a husband. Now he can’t even left your bedside!”

“Yoorim-ah!” Their mother interrupted again.

“Listen to your mother, Yoorim.” Their father intervened. “Yoona, you know we love you.” He started. Yoona’s stare softened when her father spoke. “And we care for you. Do you remember three years ago? You were a mess—“

“That’s an understatement.” Yoorim snorted.

“—and we had no idea how to help you.” Their father ignored Yoorim and sat on the seat that Jiyong abandoned. “As your family, do you know how much it hurt that you’re in pain and none of us know what to do? It killed us, Yoongie.”

The heartfelt look from her father made Yoona tear up. Her mother sat back down beside her. “Honey, I don’t understand why you’re bringing yourself pain by bringing your sub-unit back. Wasn’t it hard for you to get over him? Why are you doing this?”

Yoona swallowed. If she and Jiyong are going to do this again, the first persons that will know have to be her parents. “I.. Umma, I don’t think I ever got over him.”

Her parents hung their head down and Yoorim pursed her lips. “Sis, what makes you think that history won’t repeat itself when your promotions are over?”

“I’m not expecting anything to develop further between us in the future. We’ll remain like this.” Yoona stated.

“And what are you exactly right now?” Yoorim inquired.

The SNSD visual blinked several times. “I don’t know.” She sighed. “I can’t lie to you all and tell you that I don’t love him anymore. He’s still my husband even though we weren’t there for each other for the past three years. I still remember what you told me, appa, umma. Married couples will have tiffs but in the end it all works out. And I have that tiny hope in me that this marriage will work out. One way or another.”

They smiled softly at the youngest member of their family. She truly is growing up. “We understand, honey.” Her mother spoke for the rest.

“Thank you.” She whispered as they all gathered for a family hug.

A few moments later, Jiyong came back as Yoona’s father, mother and sister were standing up to leave.

“Oh umma, appa, leaving so soon?” Jiyong shyly greeted as he handed his mother-in-law’s coffee.
