“Taeyeon, wake up. You don’t want to be late on your first day.” Her mom called from downstairs. When she heard no answer she shouted again.

“Yeah, yeah, I’m up.” Then she opened the door from her room, headed downstairs and went to the dining room.

“How many times do you want me to call you before you come down? You know I want an immediate response whenever I called you.” her mom said while arranging the foods and utensils on the table.

“I’m sorry. I got tired from yesterday.” Taeyeon said while rubbing her eyes.

Taeyeon’s mother has some temperament issues. She’s easily irritated from the simplest things. When Taeyeon was young she used to be scared of her mother that’s why she always kept distance from her. But as she grew older, she got a hang of it, and now she just doesn’t mind. She knew there’s nothing she could do about it so she might as well accept that her mother is short-tempered. Though her mother always yells, she never hit Taeyeon even when caused troubles, this made Taeyeon think that, that’s how her mother showed her affection.

Taeyeon never once resented her mother, she loves her very much. Even though most of the time she looked mad, Taeyeon always managed to make her mother laugh, which is a great joy for her because she loves hearing her laugh.

“Why don’t you quit playing soccer then, so you won’t get tired? Oh wait, you can’t, because that’s the only thing you’re good at.” Her sister said from across the table. Taeyeon only glared at her, restraining herself from disrespecting her older sister.

“What?” She feigned innocent while she poked her food but not really eating them. She’s on her so called diet. “I’m just saying the truth.”

“Sunny stop that, and start eating your food properly, you’re too old to play with your food.” Their mother intervened, “And Taeyeon, stop glaring at your sister. I’ll poke your eye out if you don’t stop that.” Taeyeon managed to control her laugh. She doesn’t like laughing in front of her sister. Because her sister always have this disgusted look whenever she laughs. Maybe because it’s because of her (ahjumma) laugh. It irritated her when she looked at her like that.

For as long as she could remember, Sunny’s always been mean towards her. She doesn’t want to hate her but sometimes she does, especially when she says hurtful thing to her just like now. She started focusing on her food so that she can get out of table as soon as possible.

After eating she took a bath, fix herself at headed out. She saw Baekhyun in front of his house and stopped to greet him.

“Good morning Baekhyun-oppa. Wah, you look good. You look really cool.” She said as she held her hands to her face and makes a thumbs-up.

“Thanks, sadly I can’t say the same to you. You’re school requires uniforms right?” He said looking a bit disappointed on Taeyeon’s attire. She’s wearing a loose jacket and sweat pants.

“Yeah, I have it in my bag.”

“Why? I haven’t seen wear your school uniform before, I always thought your school doesn’t require one.”

“That’s the reason why, I don’t want you or any of the neighbors see me in that uniform. It’s embarrassing, the skirt is too short and the blouse is too small. Maybe someone will make fun of me because I’ll look really weird.”

“Well, as for me, that’s something I’d really like to see. You, wearing a skirt, that’d be interesting.”

“No, it’s not. You just want to make fun of me. You'll never see me in one.” She said while sticking her tongue out.

“Oh, but I bet I will.” He answered with a playful smirk.

“Please don’t say you’re going to follow me.” She backed away from him, preparing herself to plead if he said he would follow her.

“Don’t be stupid. I’m not a creep who would follow someone just to see them in their uniform. Besides I have work today.”

“Oh yeah, you told me yesterday that you’ve been transferred in a new school. Where? Is it close to where my school is?”

“Yeah, it’s really, really close.”

Taeyeon was about to ask where it is when suddenly her mother walked out of the house carrying gardening to
