What A Night!

The Undomestic Nanny

Chapter 58

From outside, Yongnam watched the scene unfold before him, smiling in satisfaction. “...I'll tell you all about it later. Yes, I agree. He owes us an explanation. I'm sure she'd love to meet you too. You'll like her. I should get going now. Talk to you later. Love you too. Okay, bye.” As soon as he had hung up with his sister, he immediately dialed another number then pacing a bit as it rang. After a few rings, the other party answered. “Hey Daehyun, it's Yongnam,” he said as he glanced at Annie and Yongguk, still sharing their tender moment together. “Just called to let you know that the deed has been done.”

No way!” Daehyun exclaimed excitedly. “It's about damn time!”

What's going on?” Yongnam could make out a female voice in the background.

It's official, Annie and Yongguk have come clean about their feelings for one another,” Youngjae announced, chiming into the discussion.

Before long, he heard a really loud squeal in the background prompting him to momentarily move his phone away. Not long after, he pressed the phone back against his ear only to be met with the sound of high-pitched giggling, obviously from the girl who was with Daehyun.

I knew Yongnam hyung's visit had some sort of purpose!” Daehyun jeered.

What's that supposed to mean?” Yongnam finally spoke up.

Silence.

I can hear you breathing in the background, Daehyun. I'm not deaf,” Yongnam sighed. “Seriously, I came to Seoul to visit my brother, only to receive a phone call from you and Youngjae about helping Yongguk. I'm glad I can help. For once, my brother looks like one happy camper at the moment,” he snickered.

Don't tell me you two idiots knew what was going on this whole time!” the girl's voice called out.

Am I on speaker?” Yongnam asked curiously. Before long, he heard a click at the other end.

Chuckling nervously, Daehyun immediately got on the line. “Yeah, sorry about that,” he finally said. “You were saying?”

Yongnam chuckled. “I said, my brother looks very happy right now,” he said. “Annie seems like a very nice girl.”

That's my best friend for you,” Daehyun mused. “Anyways, what happened?”

Let's just say I told my brother what Annie's been dying to tell him,” Yongnam answered, snickering. “You should have seen what happened this morning. She burst into the room thinking I was my brother and suddenly, she just poured her heart out to me. And when she realized it wasn't him, she flipped out.” He burst into laughter.

So I heard,” Youngjae's voice came on the line.

Yongnam furrowed his brows in confusion. “Wait. How did you--”

She called and told us about it,” Youngjae answered before Yongnam could finish his sentence.

Well, I'll be,” Yongnam mused in astonishment.

He soon heard a loud sigh. “Poor Annie,” the girl's voice rang out once again. “She always has the worst timing in the world.”

Doesn't that remind you a bit of someone, Lucy?” Youngjae asked her. “(coughs) Daehyun (coughs).”

Oh right,” she snickered. “Worst timing in the world award goes to (coughs) Daehyun (coughs).”

Daehyun groaned. “Would you two just shut up?” he spat out. “I can hear you, you know. If you have something to say, why don't you say it to my face?”

Whoa, Dae!” Lucy reasoned. “Calm down.”

Why should I calm down when you and Jae are too busy throwing me under the bus?” Daehyun whined.

Soon, an all out argument ensued as Yongnam stood and listened to the whole conversation with interest. These people were his brother's friends? He thought. They are pretty interesting people, he chuckled until he cleared his throat loudly enough to silence everyone on the other line. “Before I let you guys continue arguing, I should get going,” he announced into the phone.

Oh, okay hyung,” Daehyun spoke up. “Thanks for calling me.”

Not a problem, Dae,” Yongnam responded. “Talk to you guys later.”

Bye,” Daehyun and Youngjae replied in unison.

Bye guys,” he finally said before hanging up the phone then placing it in his pocket.

Taking a deep breath, he proceeded to make his way back inside in joining Annie and Yongguk.

Annie was taken aback at the sudden sparks she was feeling once their lips met and she couldn't help but close her eyes allowing him to continue kissing her. They both broke away from each other momentarily to catch their breaths. Yongguk was still leaning his forehead against hers, looking into her eyes intently. “Tell me I'm dreaming,” she said breaking the silence, grinning sheepishly. “I must be dreaming, right?”

Yongguk chuckled as he lifted his hand to caress her cheek softly. “I don't know,” he grinned, leaning close once again. “You tell me.” He finally said before leaning in to kiss her again. This time, it was deepened. Annie clutched his shirt tightly before pulling away from him, catching her breath.

Nope, I'm not dreaming,” she said, reaching up to softly touch his face with both of her hands. “You're real.”

In turn, he too reached up to take her hands in his before kissing them one by one as he stared deeply into her eyes. “Yes, I am,” he replied cheekily. “And I'm not going anywhere.” He declared.

Annie's heart thumped loudly and rapidly. She was surprised herself at how well she was taking this. For once, she found herself grinning happily. “Good,” said Annie contentedly. “You're dead meat if you consider going anywhere else.”

He chuckled. “Is that a threat?” he asked brashly.

Absolutely,” she replied smugly. “Be afraid, be very afraid.”

He scoffed. “Well excuse me while I go hide in a corner,” he replied mockingly.

Someone scoffed. “Yeah a corner, my , you'd probably cower behind me if you can,” a deep voice rang out, prompting Annie and Yongguk to turn their heads towards the source of the voice. Yongnam stood before them crossing his arms, grinning at the both of them in astonishment. “I figured I'd leave you two lovebirds alone for tonight.”

Where are you going?” Yongguk asked curiously.

Yongnam shrugged. “I'll figure something out,” he replied. “I'll probably meet up with some buddies to go bar-hopping or something.” He said matter-of-factly.

You are crashing at my place for the weekend, right?” asked Yongguk.

Yongnam turned to him. “Am I allowed to crash at your place?” he asked.

Of course,” nodded Yongguk grinning back at his older brother. “That's the initial plan whenever you visit.” He said. “I'll have your room set up tonight.”

Thanks, little brother,” he said looking down at his watch. “I guess I should be going now.” He soon turned to leave only to be interrupted by the sound of Annie's voice.

Wait,” she called out to him.

He turned around, eying her curiously. “What's up, Annie?”

I should be the one who should get going,” she announced.

What? Why?” Yongguk asked in confusion.

She glanced down at him before returning her attention over to Yongnam. “You're only in town for the weekend meaning you should be spending this time with your brother,” she reasoned. “I don't want to imposed or anything. I mean, come to think of it, I already am.” She muttered, looking down sheepishly at the floor beneath them.

You're not,” Yongguk replied before turning to give Yongnam a pleading look. “My brother understands, right Yongnam?”

Of course,” his brother nodded in agreement. “And you weren't imposing. I was the one who invited you, remember?” He reminded her.

Annie gaped at him in astonishment. She had an idea of what both brothers were trying to pull. Yongnam's dismissal would mean she would be stuck alone with Yongguk. Not that she minded, she loved spending time with him but she felt a little horrible about having to impose, like she was already doing at that moment. She had to admit, he did make a point. He was the one who invited her and she felt as if she owed him something for bringing her and his brother closer together. “Right,” she said, chuckling nervously before turning to Yongguk. “Let's make a deal.”

Okay,” he furrowed his brows, glancing at Annie then his older brother. “What is it?”

She glanced at both brothers before clearing . “Your brother's only in town for the weekend so I expect you to spend quality time with him the rest of the weekend,” she inferred. “Got it?” She stared back at Yongguk expectantly.

He chuckled. “Will do,” he replied as if it was the easiest request in the world.

I'm serious,” she said firmly. “That means, you should only cater to your brother and forget my existence for the weekend. When your brother leaves, I'm all yours,” she grinned before turning to Yongnam. “No hard feelings Yongnam. I just so happen to take quality time with family very seriously. I mean take it from me, I advise the two of you to embrace what you have now before it's gone.”

Yongnam gaped at her momentarily before turning to Yongguk. “Little brother?”

Huh?” Yongguk turned to his brother.

Marry her,” said Yongnam, clearly amazed by Annie's sudden brashness.

She rolled her eyes, choosing to ignore his statement. “I make a point,” she countered, giving him a look.

I like her,” he pointed to her matter-of-factly, turning once again to his younger twin brother.

Thank you?” said Annie, unsure of a proper response. “Well aside from the whole twin thing, I happen to find you to be really cool, Yongnam.”

Thanks,” he beamed proudly. “I too also happen to find you pretty cool, Annie.” He complimented her, which in turn prompted her to turn away from him, blushing.

You're too kind, Yongnam,” she giggled.

Yongguk eyed the exchange with a disgusted look. “Alright,” he huffed. “I believe that's enough compliments for today.”

Annie glowered. “He was just being nice,” she scolded him.

He scoffed. “Please, my brother is anything but nice,” he sneered. “He's only trying to butter you up just to stall the time...”

Yongnam cleared his throat to grab their attention. “I'm right here, you know,” he pointed out.

I know that,” Yongguk grumbled. “Don't you have somewhere to go?”

Thanks for reminding me, little brother,” he glanced down at his watch. “It was nice meeting you, Annie.”

It's been a pleasure meeting you too, Yongnam,” said Annie grinning from ear-to-ear.

Let's all do something again next time,” he offered.

Sounds good,” Annie chuckled.

Yeah, I've been meaning to go the batting cages again,” Yongnam mused. “It's been way too long since I've been to one.”

NO BATTING CAGES!” Annie and Yongguk exclaimed simultaneously, startling Yongnam slightly. Clearly, both were reminded about that unpleasant experience which brought Annie to the ER and they did not want a repeat of it again. Annie knew she'd have to face that fear once again but decided to put off on it for now since it was still a traumatic experience. He gave them a look of confusion but decided to brush it off for now.

Okay...” he finally said. “We'll figure something out then. See you guys later,” he waved finally before turning to leave.

Wait!” Annie called out once again.

Yongguk groaned. “What now?” He softened a bit when Annie shot him a look.

Standing up, she made her way over to Yongnam and pulled him into an unexpected hug. Even he was a little taken aback. “What's this for?” he couldn't help but ask.

Thank you,” she said softly into his ear.

For what?” he pulled away from her, furrowing his brow.

For everything,” she said grinning. “None of this would have happened if you didn't show up and slap me in the face, not literally of course, with my own realizations. By the way, I'm sorry for imposing.”

He sighed and shook his head. “Why are you apologizing? You're not imposing,” he assured her. “And you're certainly welcome, Annie,” he grinned. “I'm glad I invited you. I mean, look at how happy my brother is right now.” He and Annie glanced back at Yongguk to find him glaring over at them. They both chuckled. He was anything but happy given the fact that Annie had ditched him momentarily to see his brother off. And they were sure he did not feel comfortable with Annie suddenly hugging Yongnam.

Annie rolled her eyes. “I swear, if he's gonna get jealous about me hugging you or any other guy in a friendly way, there is going to be some problems,” she grumbled.

Yongnam shrugged. “That's my brother for you,” he chuckled. “Anyways, I should really get going now before he starts going on a murderous rampage.”

Alright bye, Yongnam,” she hugged him once again.

Take care, Annie,” he finally said caressing the small of her back. “And be good to my brother.”

You know I will,” she assured him. Before long, he finally turned to leave as Annie made her way back to Yongguk.

As soon as he was gone, he finally turned to Annie. “Okay, now that he's gone. Where were we?” he asked, grinning seductively.

Annie scowled before turning away from him, rolling her eyes. “Not here,” she muttered, crossing her arms over her chest.

He sighed, running a hand down his face before standing up. “Come on,” he held out a hand to her.

Where are we going?” she asked wearily.

Don't you trust me?” he raised an eyebrow.

She considered it a moment before nodding. “Of course, I do,” she said.

Then, come on,” he urged her.

Finally, she caved, allowing to take her hand. “This better be good,” she warned him.

He scoffed, leading her away. “Annie, it's me. Of course, it'll be good,” he replied smugly.

You are so lucky we are in a public place, otherwise I'd wipe that smug grin off your face any minute now,” she grumbled.

I'd like to see you try,” he jeered before giving her a suggestive look. Soon, they made it to his car. Like a true gentleman, he opened the door for her before closing it then ran over to the driver's side. Buckling up, he started up the car and proceeded to drive away into the night.

A/N: Hello again! Sorry... This wasn't my best chapter. I had a bit of trouble writing it lol. But I do hope you guys enjoy it! More Bang and Annie moments! And jealous Yongguk!!! XD Annie is going to owe Yongnam and Danny big time for bringing her closer to Yongguk. I think instinctively, Annie would have kicked Yongnam's but he meant well and she's too happy to be thinking violent thoughts lol. Oh and DaeJae were both in on this little plan in bringing our main couple together! Yongnam was just an accessory but he was the one who initiated everything else. So we do have a bunch of masterminds in this story! XD Happy reading! ^^

P.S. I started reading a new book, it's called "This Burns My Heart" by Samuel Park. It sounded really good which is why I'm reading it lol. And it's a plus because I do happen to find Samuel Park to be pretty handsome lol. XD And great news!!! My DVD finally arrived in the mail today!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now excuse me while I go watch it. XD

Like this story? Give it an Upvote!

Chapter 80: I love it so much!!!!

I cried when Danny and Annie parted from each other - their relationship is so special; I just broke down when Danny told Annie his birthday wish "I want you to be my mummy" I really felt so sad for him with his parents both screwing around (ya know what I mean? )

There was sure a lot of drama, and I like it (even though there was a bit too much drama ^^)

I really enjoyed the story... Great job authornim :D :D

Chapter 28: I knew it! About Himchan! You indeed have been hinted at it and that's so good about this story. There is so much going on, but not in am over dramatic way, which is good. The Shin's are really something... I'll read further and let you know what I think about the story as a whole, but up until now I'm very much pleased :)
