Like any struggling young adult, Annie feels as if she's hit a dead end. That is until she lands a job as a nanny to a spoiled 4 year old, who has proven to be quite the handful...

“Danny, it's bath time!” Annie announced as she looked around the posh apartment for the four year old boy. “Where is that little brat?” she muttered under her breath.

She could hear his faint giggling echo from near his room. “I got you now!” she smirked mischievously to herself as she ran into his room to find it empty. “Danny, this isn't funny! Get out here now!” The kid was clearly testing her patience, which was growing thin by the minute.

“You have to come find me!” she heard his voice echoing elsewhere. He was not in his room. Annie searched all around his room including the closet and under the bed with no luck. Groaning in frustration, she was back in the living room once again.

“Danny, if you do as I say, I'll buy you ice cream!” she said in a sing-song tone.

“Nice try! The last nanny said the same thing!” he exclaimed.

“I'm serious, Danny,” she said through gritted teeth. “Now is not the time to be playing games!”

She searched the bathroom, no luck. She avoided Miranda's room which was forbidden territory and since it was locked, she knew Danny would avoid it anyways. But then by what Daniel was doing now, she clearly underestimated his intelligence. “You're getting warmer, Nanny,” his voice uttered.

Her phone went off prompting Annie to grunt angrily. Someone picked the most inopportune time to be calling her. Not bothering to check the caller ID, she answered. “I'm a little busy,” she said with a tone of irritability.

“Nanny?” Miranda's voice rang out. “I'm calling just to check up on you and Danny.”

Annie froze. Uh-oh. “Oh hello, Miranda!” Annie chuckled nervously. “Yes, everything's fine! Just great! Danny is just about to take his bath and then I'm tucking him into bed.”

“Oh, okay, that's nice to hear, can I talk to him?” Annie's eyes widened.

“Now's not a good time,” Annie said nervously. “You see, he's still eating.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah, you know he can't talk when he's eating, he'll get cranky,” she lied as she looked around frantically. “I'm sure you know that.”

Suddenly, the little boy emerged from behind. “You can't catch me!” he exclaimed before running off. He was out the door before Annie could catch him.

“Is everything okay?” Miranda asked with a hint of suspicion to her tone.

“Yes, everything's just dandy!” Annie exclaimed. “He's just playing a game! Listen, Miranda I have to call you back, okay?”

“Okay well just so you're aware I'll be home in about another hour or two so see you then!” she finally said.

“Right! I'll see you soon! Bye bye, Miranda!” she said before hanging up abruptly. “Alright you little monster, I'm coming to get you! So ready or not here I come!” She made it out the door and searched frantically down the halls.

Her phone rang once again and she immediately answered. “We're a little busy at the moment, Miranda--”

“Annie?” Daehyun's voice rang out.

She breathed a sigh of relief knowing it was not her boss. “Oh, it's you,” Annie replied in annoyance upon realizing it was her friend. “What do you want?”

“Is that the way you should greet your best friend?” Annie could feel him pouting at the other end but decided not to make a snappy comeback because it was unimportant at the moment. What was more important was finding this brat even if it took her the whole night.

“Look, Dae, now's not a good time,” Annie sighed.

“Why? What's wrong? Is everything okay?” he asked suddenly becoming concerned.

“I'm getting trolled by a four year old, that's what!” she barked back. “So does it look like I'm okay?! Let me call you back, okay?” she hung up before he can respond.

“Come and catch me!” Daniel exclaimed emerging from behind.

“Oh yes I will!” Annie said before charging towards him, the kid immediately ran off once again. Luckily for him, the elevator door to the floor opened. A guy obliviously emerged from the elevator prompting Annie to inadvertently collide with him. Together, they fell to the ground and Annie landed right on top of him. He groaned in pain.

Daniel was soon laughing hysterically. “I told you, you can't catch me, nanny!” he mocked her running into the elevator.

“I'm so sorry!” Annie sat up along with the stranger. “Are you okay?”

“I'll live,” he answered still groaning in pain. The sound of his deep and husky which momentarily caught Annie off guard. Their eyes met and she had to admit she liked what she saw. He sure was a handsome one, she thought but brushed away those thoughts shifting her attention to the little monster known as Daniel.

“Again, I'm sorry!” she abruptly got up to run after Daniel. “Danny, this isn't funny anymore!” she hissed.

“Danny?” the guy turned to find Daniel in the elevator. Annie looked at him in confusion. “What do you think you're doing?”

“Oh hi, Yongguk hyung,” the little boy greeted the guy sheepishly. “I'm playing a game with my nanny. Do you wanna play too?”

Annie gave him a hopeful look hoping he can help her. He glanced from the boy to the helpless girl before him. She looked drained from this tirade with her disheveled hair and he started to feel bad for her knowing what a handful his young neighbor can be. “Okay, sure, what are we playing, little man?” he asked finally shifting his attention towards the little boy.

“Thank you,” Annie mouthed breathing a sigh of relief.

He, in turn, gave her a reassuring nod along with a gummy smile. “Anytime,” he mouthed back.
