Taemin sighed heavily, as he once again, sat by himself in the room at the hospital. The nurse had told him, that he would be able to go home in a few days, maybe already tomorrow. Taemin, however, had some mixed feelings about that. Well, he was really bored at the hospital, with nothing to do and no one to hang out with, on the other hand, he didn’t want to go back to the school again – because Joon and G.O would be there, waiting for him.

Taemin looked at the clock hanging over the door, and sighed a bit. It was about four in the evening, which meant that his dad could be there every minute – he would come, right? He had said, that he would come! He was Taemin’s dad, though. Even if Taemin was gay, he was still his only son. Besides, it wasn’t Taemin’s fault that he had ended up at the hospital.

Not entirely, that is.

A small groan left Taemin’s lips as he looked away from the door again, looking out the window, where the weather had gotten surprisingly better. The sun was shining, the storm completely gone, though there still were a few clouds in the sky.

He didn’t get to enjoy the view of the weather for much longer, as the door opened, and Taemin mentally prepared himself to get scolded by his father – get scolded for being such a of a son, getting by other guys, because Taemin was so weak and filthy. Yeah, he was far from perfect. He was far from being a good son – a son his parents could be proud of.

Taemin sighed deeply before he turned to look at the person entering – the person he was very sure was his dad. However, Taemin’s eyes quickly grew wide, as his heartbeat became faster, beating harder and harder, as he saw that beautiful guy, looking back at him. That guy, who Taemin now both loved and feared – because of Joon and G.O.

“K-Kai…”  Taemin stuttered, pulling a bit in the blanket over him, trying to hide himself a bit behind it, even though Kai had indeed already seen him.

“Taemin…” Kai mumbled quietly, very aware of the reason why Taemin behaved like he did, but he still walked up to his hyung, standing next to the bed.

“H-How are you feeling?” Kai asked carefully, not really knowing what to say, because to be honest… It was very awkward in some way.

“You shouldn’t be here…” Taemin said quietly, his breath becoming a bit faster, as his heart suddenly was beating faster in fear, and not because of his feelings for the younger, “Please leave me alone…”

“Why?” Kai asked, playing dumb while he crossed his arms over his fine chest.

“B-Because…” Taemin said, really not wanting to tell Kai about it, even though… Key said he might have told him about everything – Taemin was still scared. He didn’t dare risking anything by being seen with Kai, so… Maybe they just shouldn’t be together, or something?

“Because those pictures will get leaked if you’re with me?” Kai said, making Taemin gasp quietly in surprise, looking up at his dongsaeng with wide eyes. Kai, however, just looked completely cold and serious in his face.

“Y-Yes…” Taemin stuttered, feeling a few tears gathering in the corners of his eyes, “S-So please… Go,” he whispered quietly, just on the edge of crying. He had never really been so scared in his whole life! Just as much as he wanted to hold Kai at that moment, he also wanted him to just leave him alone. Not only had Taemin been threatened to stay away from Kai, but he had also been , which made Taemin so, so impure. So dirty and filthy.

Taemin didn’t want any of that to rub off on Kai - he was so perfect… Apart from the weed smoking and gang fights…

“Taemin,” Kai signed as he sat down at the side of the bed, making Taemin move a bit away from him in fear, letting out some small whines in fear. That, however, just made Kai smile a little bit – he thought Taemin was cute in some way, even though it was completely serious.

“They wont hurt you anymore, Taemin,” Kai assured Taemin, reaching a bit out for his hyung, who just kept looking at him with wide eyes.

“H-How can you be so sure of that?” Taemin asked, feeling a bit unsure about this. Had Kai really been at Taemin’s school, as Key had said? “They still have those pictures…”

“I completely destroyed their camera, so no… Taemin,” Kai looked at his hyung with serious eyes, “They do not have those pictures anymore. I promise you!”

“Y-You…” Taemin stuttered a bit, feeling his cheeks grow hot, “You didn’t see the pictures… Did you?!”

Kai sighed softly as he clearly could see the fear in Taemin’s eyes. Instead, Kai just gently a bit of Taemin’s bangs behind his ear, like he did last time they were alone… Kai’s soft hand touched Taemin’s silky cheek slightly, making a few, sweet sparks between their skin.

“I didn’t see anything,” Kai whispered softly, making Taemin sigh in relief as the elder gently leaned a bit more into the palm of Kai’s hand, enjoying the contact of their skin, which felt so right, and none of them could really ignore the butterflies in both of their tummies.

“I’m so sorry…” Taemin whispered, the small tears in his eyes, now running down his cheeks, “It’s just because I’m so dirty and filthy… I’m so sorry, Kai…”

“D-Don’t apologize, Taemin,” Kai said with a small hint of a stutter in his voice, looking at his hyung with wide, surprised eyes, “It’s not your fault at all!”

“But Kai… It is my fault…” Taemin said, more tears running down his cheeks.

“And don’t you dare call yourself dirty and filthy again, understood?” Kai’s voice had just changed from soft and calming, to cold and serious. That actually scared Taemin a little bit.

“W-Why not?” the elder mumbled quietly, “It’s what I am… Isn’t it?”

“No…” Kai simply said with a small sigh, his hand still on Taemin’s soft cheek.

“Then…” Taemin swallowed, feeling his heart beat really fast again, “… What am I?” He was now unconsciously leaning a bit closer to Kai, since both of their voices had become a little bit quieter. Though Taemin’s heart was going crazy under his chest, beating more than ever. It kind of felt like he had to faint, when he looked into Kai’s beautiful, deep, brown eyes.

Kai just took a deep breath, still looking at his hyung with soft eyes, “You’re…” he mumbled, swallowing a bit as he felt really nervous, “B-Beautiful… Pure.”

Taemin’s cheeks felt like they were on fire, “R-Really?” he asked carefully, taking Kai’s hand in his own. Kai just gave a small nod, as they leaned a bit closer to each other.

“You’re so perfect, Taemin,” Kai said quietly, just loud enough for Taemin to hear. And then, Kai’s other hand finally found its way around Taemin, gently pulling the elder, but slightly smaller, a bit closer to him and making their lips meet without the slightest hesitation.

Sparks were running through both of their bodies, like it was some kind of adrenalin rush. Their lips were burning, but in a good way, making their lips tickle sweetly as they slowly moved together, against the other’s.

Their eyes closed, as Taemin’s hands started to gently grab the front of Kai’s shirt, holding him close, as if he was afraid of letting go of him – as if he was afraid, that it was all a dream. It was something he would never have thought that was happening.

They were finally kissing.

Kai’s hand around Taemin’s waist tightened its grip, pulling Taemin even closer - almost making their chests touch.

However, no matter how good it felt, and how Taemin just wanted the moment to last… He had to pull away for air, ending the kiss with Kai. They both just looked into the other’s eyes, both of them blushing like a couple of tomatoes.

“K… K-Kai…?” Taemin managed to say, stuttering like crazy, which was partly caused by the butterflies in his tummy, and partly by the slight surprised of suddenly being kissed by his biggest crush.

Kai smiled softly at his hyung, gently his silky cheek, “I promise you… I’ll never let anyone hurt you again, Taemin,” he whispered softly, making Taemin’s breathing calm down.

“How can you promise such thing…?” the elder asked, leaning his head a bit against Kai’s shoulder as he sighed, “You can’t be my bodyguard, you know…”

“I know,” Kai said, his hand gently grabbing Taemin’s chin, making him look at him again, “But if you want… I can become something to you that’s even better than a bodyguard?”

“What?” Taemin asked, smiling very weakly.

“Well…” Kai sighed, looking a little away as his cheeks started blushing hard again, “I-I know this sounds… Wrong but…” Kai bit his lips hard as he kept looking away from his hyung since a few tears were building in the corners of his eyes.

“W-What? Kai?! What’s wrong?” Taemin asked, putting his hands on Kai’s shoulders, trying his best to calm his dongsaeng down.

“Those guys,” Kai nearly growled, “I just wish I could kill them for what they did!”

“P-Please don’t, Kai… I don’t wanna be parted from you!” Taemin begged, his voice sounding very frightened, and yet so soft and sweet.

“Because of their actions… They even…” Kai looked carefully at Taemin, not knowing whether or not he should say the words he was thinking… But then they just came, “T-They even took your ity, before I could have the chance…” Those last words, coming from Kai’s plump lips, made Taemin slightly startled, leaving him completely speechless and slightly hurt. Because now he actually knew, that not only did Joon and G.O hurt Taemin mentally by ruining his dream of having his first time with someone he loved, but they apparently also ruined something for Kai.

“W-What are you talking about, Kai?” Taemin asked, feeling nervous again.

“I-I’m so sorry I couldn’t protect you, Taemin…” Kai whispered, gently clinging onto Taemin’s hospital shirt, holding Taemin close while Kai started crying a little bit, with his head resting on his hyung’s shoulder.

“It’s not your fault, Kai…” Taemin tried to calm him a bit down, even planting a small kiss on Kai’s cheek, “Please… Don’t cry.”

Kai pulled a bit away to be able to look Taemin into his eyes with his own, his tears almost gone, “Please… Let me be able to protect you, Taemin. That’s all I really want…”

“B-But… I told you, that you couldn’t be my bodyguard…” Taemin protested slightly, biting his lower lip as he looked a bit down.

“And I told you, that I could be something better…” Kai mumbled against Taemin’s ear. Kai’s husky, deep voice sent a few small shivers down Taemin’s spine, making the elder gasp softly.

“W-What do you want to be?” Taemin asked carefully, feeling his cheeks getting completely red again as he looked at Kai. Kai couldn’t help but smile softly at his hyung, though. Hugging his waist a little bit.

“Please, I just want to be with you. So let me be your boyfriend, Taemin… Then people wont dare touch you either…” Kai’s soft, sweet voice said, making Taemin’s eyes go wide in surprise, his breath quickening up once again.

“R… Really?!” Taemin exclaimed, maybe a bit too loud, because he made Kai’s eye go wide in shock.

“Y-Yeah, really,” Kai slightly stuttered, still feeling a bit shocked at Taemin’s reaction.

“M-Mmh!” Taemin hummed, smiling brightly – a smile that really warmed Kai’s heart so deeply. Taemin then couldn’t help but wrap his arms around Kai’s neck to kiss him once more – just because it felt so damn right. More right, than anything else in the whole world.

“I-I really like you, Kai…”

“I like you too, Taeminnie.”
