EXO-M: Xiu Min's POV

We could tell Kris was flying around the night sky because every few minutes the sky would illuminate with fire. His body was concealed in the clouds, but the flames he breathed scorched right through them.

Chanyeol was the first to take action. He sprinted through the fields and jumped high. Right when he was about to land, he transformed into his other form and soared straight towards Kris.

We had devised a plan earlier. First, Chanyeol would distract Kris and lead him to us. Tao would use his time control and freeze the time once he got close, then Lu Han would bind him using his telekinesis and D.O would provide backup by wrapping roots and boulders around him. Suho would stifle the flames with his water. I was disappointed to find that I wasn't able to help at all.

Hopefully that plan works and won't be a waste of effort in the end because we didn't come up with a second plan.

Chanyeol and Kris were already plummeting right at us. Just as they were about to reach the ground, Chanyeol expanded his wings and flew upwards. Kris wasn't agile like Chanyeol and didn't have enough control to make sharp turns, so he ended up falling right into our trap.

Tao stopped the time when Kris plunged to the ground and started it again a moment after. Lu Han was ready and seized Kris. D.O split the earth and roots projected out, wrapping themselves around him. They secured him to the ground. Kris started thrashing around, and before he could start up his flames again, Suho doused him with water.

It looked to me that it wasn't enough, so I used my frost and encased him from the neck down in a layer of ice.

After around half an hour, he seemed to exhaust himself out from the struggling. He began to gradually fade back into his human form.

Chanyeol noticed the change and melted Kris's chamber of ice.

"Kris!" Suho yelled. I watched him run full force and hug him with all of his might. Kris hugged him back.

"I'm so sorry for this," Kris apologized. Tears formed at the inner corners of his eyes. They let go of each other and Chanyeol went up to him next. Kris fell to his knees and started crying silently. Something inside of me broke when I saw our leader do that.

"I thought I killed you," he whispered.

"Kris, please get up. I'm fine, really. We're lucky to have Lay on our side," Chanyeol said. Kris looked up at Lay, who offered him a hand. Kris accepted it and brought himself to his feet.

"Lay, I... I don't know how to-" he was cut off by Lay's abrupt hug.

"I was so scared. I was starting to think you were gone forever," he quietly sobbed, hiding himself in Kris's chest. This period in time has been emotional for all of us. I'm just glad it's finally over.

I walked over to Chen and grasped his shoulder. I wished Chen and I could be that close.

I don't know whether or not I said that aloud because seconds later I was in Chen's embrace. I was too stunned to do anything back. Soon, I started relaxing slightly and finally held him back.

"Everything is fine now. Everything is going to be back to normal," he murmured.

If only those words were true.
