Marisa’s POV

I stare at the stage while the music starts up and B1A4 starts swaying to the music. What’s up with artists and swaying to their music? “This one is called ‘Chu Chu Chu,’” Jinyoung says looking right at me. It reminds me of all of those times that he’s sang for me before, through the DVD and the day he asked me to be his girlfriend and even his birthday party. I guess I should be paying attention to the lyrics since they’re probably about me; they’re always about me when Jinyoung sings them.

After I hang up the phone, I only think about you

Even though I’m busy all day long, I think about you

What do I do? What do I do?

Sandeul then starts singing and looks right me, flashing me a smile

You being slightly coy is so cute

Jinyoung picks up the chorus, along with Sandeul, and I can tell that he’s singing right to me like the night of his birthday party, his eyes are never leaving mine.

After Baro is done rapping, even Shinwoo who doesn’t tend to say a lot is giving me sideway glances while throwing out a heart here and there.

At that moment, the members of B1A4 get up off of their chairs and start walking around the stage while continuing to sing the song. Jinyoung especially stops where Seohyun, the Infinite members, and I are sitting. He smiles to me and sings the song only to me. It’s like he doesn’t matter that there’s a bunch of people watching.

“He’s singing to you,” Seohyun whispers nudging me.

“Is he?” I ask pretending not to notice, but my eyes never leave him, even as she’s talking to me.

“Look at the expression in his eyes,” she says.

There is applause from everyone as B1A4 reassembles in the middle of the stage and do their stage greetings.

“Hello, we’re B1A4,” they say together in unison.

“Ah, after such a good stage from Infinite, we feel burdened,” Shinwoo says with a slight smile.

“But we’re still going to try our best,” Sandeul says.

“Next song will be more upbeat,” Gongchan says throwing out some of his aegyo, which probably made some of the girls in the audience swoon. Now that I realize it, when did this place become so full? It’s like this is a mini concert of B1A4 and Infinite instead of a graduation party. Did they plan this to be this way?

“It’s called ‘You Are My Girl,’” Jinyoung says looking right at me. His eyes have never left me the whole time; people are bound to notice considering that this place is packed. I look at all of the Infinite members next to me and I catch Sungyeol giving Jinyoung a thumbs up, why?

“Sungyeol-oppa,” I say nudging him in the shoulder.

“Hmm?” he asks turning to look at me.

“Why did you just give him a thumbs up?” I question.

“No real reason,” he says shrugging his shoulders. “Shh, the song is starting.”

The song is a fast upbeat song as the members are yelling things to the audience expressing their love and I see Jinyoung looking at me and whispering something, not into the microphone. My eyes widen when I see what he’s saying, is he telling me that he loves me?

It’s already been a year since we met

As Shinwoo sings his part, he starts mimicking the actions that he’s singing about. I kind of find it funny and I find myself smiling like an idiot at it.

Sandeul takes up his part next and starts pointing at me as he’s singing.

As Jinyoung sings his part he points at me and sends me hearts making all the girls around me swoon over him.

As Shinwoo sings, he leans out his shoulder, which also makes a lot of girls yell. These girls must really like them doing this kind of stuff. I think it kind of looks funny, but I’m not used to them as performers, I’m only used to them as my friends.

This time, Gongchan goes over to the side of the stage where I am and points at me. What’s up with all of the attention on me? Shouldn’t it be on them or rather the ones graduating? They are graduating after all. What’s with this unwanted attention? Well, not really unwanted, but unnecessary?

Shinwoo then yells into the mike and holds it out for the audience to say their response, which they do. It’s like they all know the songs better than I do. Well I guess they would, did I ever really listen to their songs fully, maybe I should do that once in a while.

I watch Jinyoung come down from the stage and do the unthinkable. While he’s singing, he grabs my hand and pulls me up on stage. What is the meaning of this? In my mind I begin freaking out; this is how he publicly wants to announce our relationship? Is this why there are so many reporters and cameras?

Once they see that Jinyoung has pulled me on stage, they start taking even more pictures and they’re probably wondering who I am, unless they remember me from before as his fake girlfriend. They’re also probably wondering why he’s pulled me up on the stage. I’m wondering the same thing by myself.

The boys start coming up next to me and start dancing, which make the others in the crowd scream and yell with excitement. Most of them probably think that I’m just a lucky fan; they don’t really know that I’m Jinyoung’s girlfriend, unless some of them remember and connect the dots.

The song ends and I feel everyone’s eyes upon me. “Well,” Jinyoung says after the song ends, “that was surely eventful, wouldn’t you say?”

“Yeah, it was,” Gongchan says practically jumping up and down. Why are they all so excited?

“For this next song, you will be sitting here,” Jinyoung tells me sitting me down on a seat.

“What?” I ask looking around.

“Just trust me,” he whispers into my ear. I sit there and watch while he continues talking. “So, you guys are probably wondering why she’s up here, right?” he asks pointing at me. “Hopefully this song will explain more to you guys.”

Song? What song could explain everything? I look at Jinyoung and the rest of the boys but they don’t seem to be paying any attention to me now. What’s the point of bringing me up on the stage in the first place?

“Everyone, please listen to ‘Smile,’” Gongchan says doing some aegyo.

A slow melody begins as the members of B1A4 surround where I’m sitting. Jinyoung is specifically besides me. He turns the chair so that I’m looking at him. He’s kneeling on the stage next to a kneeling Baro. What are they doing?

I can’t take it out of my pocket

I can’t pass it to you because it’s not very expensive

I could have bought something better

If I saved up a little more

After Jinyoung is done singing, Shinwoo comes and kneels down next to where Jinyoung and Baro are.

It seems like if it’s not now it’ll be too late

Firmly shutting my eyes and mustering up my courage

Sandeul takes his place next to the other three kneeling.

The four kneeling boys get up off of their knees and stand and face me again. “What is going on?” I mouth to Jinyoung, but he just shrugs his shoulders and smiles as he pulls me close. His arm goes around my waist as he hugs me.

What’s the big deal?

That you’re getting so worked up?

Jinyoung then passes me to Shinwoo. Shinwoo then hugs me the same way that Jinyoung did. It’s the first time that the both of us had this kind of contact. Are they trying to have the audience guess who I am by making me seem like I’m everyone’s girlfriend? Am I just a toy to be passed around by them?

Then, like before, Sandeul now hugs me. It’s kind of awkward, like the hug with Shinwoo, since I know that Sandeul has liked me before.

Finally, I get passed to Gongchan as he sings, but Gongchan puts me in between him and Baro while they both sway back and forth, taking my body with them both.

More than what I am doing now

I get moved to the middle of the stage to sit on the chair again while the boys are once again surrounding me.

As the song finishes up, I see Jinyoung kneel and take something out of his pocket. He opens it and I see that it’s a necklace with his name on it. “Marisa,” he says into the microphone. “I love you.” The crowd gasps in amazement while I hear the Infinite members cheer and clap. They knew about this all along. Everyone knew about this all along, well the members of both knew about it.

“Jinyoung,” I say. I feel like crying.

Jinyoung gets up off of his knees, takes the necklace out of the box, and wraps it around my neck. “It’s okay to love you, right Marisa?” he asks. After he finishes clasping the necklace, he comes in front of me and grabs my hand, facing the crowd. “Everyone, this girl is Marisa. She’s my girlfriend, my real girlfriend this time.” I hear shocked whispers in the crowd and my face has probably gone really red right now. “I really love her and I want to protect her. I wish for you to wish us well.” He bows before the crowd as I do the same. We both hear applause and look up.

I look to where the Infinite members were sitting, but I can no longer see them there, only Seohyun is there. I use my eyes to ask her where they went, but she only shrugs her shoulders. Don’t tell me that they have another thing planned.

“Now, everyone probably has a lot of questions, right?” Jinyoung asks. “Well, we have found a way to solve all of those questions for you. It’s Jinyoung’s Storytime!” he suddenly yells causing me to jump a little. “Go back and sit with Seohyun,” Jinyoung whispers in my ear. I do as he says as I go with Seohyun.

“What was that about?” I ask.

“I have no idea,” she tells me, “but aren’t they just the sweetest?”

“What are they doing now?”

“I have absolutely no idea,” Seohyun says shaking her head. Suddenly, the lights get dimmer and our attention is brought to the single spotlight, which is focused on Jinyoung. How did he manage to get changed into different clothes so quickly? And why does he have a book with him? What exactly is Jinyoung’s Storytime?

Jinyoung’s POV

I’m thankful that my confession to Marisa went alright, even though I didn’t get to hear a response. It wasn’t even like I thought I was going to hear one, she would’ve been too afraid to say something in front of all of these people. I can tell that she was thoroughly shocked, though. Throughout the whole confession, my heart felt like it was going to burst. I kept my cool, though.

“Welcome to Jinyoung’s Storytime,” I announce again. “Let me tell you the story about how one girl came to find her adventure in Seoul. The story is called ‘The Beautiful Mistake.’” I look at the stage as it lights up and as someone comes on the stage dressed as a girl, although I already know who it is. It’s Myungsoo. We convinced him to play the role of Marisa for this. I don’t know how, but somehow he agreed. He probably thought that he should do something for Marisa and this was the only thing.

“A girl was wandering around the new city. She just moved a couple of days ago and was lost,” I say.

“Oh no, I’m lost,” Myungsoo says attempting to mimic Marisa’s voice.

“These men suddenly started running towards her when she wasn’t paying attention causing her to get knocked over. Thankfully, a guy was walking with a couple of his friends as he saw her almost fall and caught her.”

The scene happens right before my eyes on stage with Gongchan playing my role, Sungjong playing Gongchan, and Woohyun playing Sandeul. Dongwoo and Hoya played the two guys who knocked into Myungsoo.

“Are you okay?” Gongchan asks. Myungsoo yelps a little, like the first time when I met Marisa.

“We have a problem,” Sungjong says. “There are people taking pictures.” Dongwoo, Hoya, Sungyeol, Sunggyu, Sandeul, Baro, and Shinwoo are pretending to be people that are taking the pictures.

“Let’s go to the van,” Gongchan says as he grabs Myungsoo’s arm and starts walking.

“The girl was introduced to the rest of the members in the van,” I continue with the story.

“Who is that, Jinyoung?” Hoya asks, he’s playing the role of Baro.

“I don’t know her name, but we had a little situation,” Gongchan says.

“What’s your name?” Sungjong asks.

“It’s Marisa,” Myungsoo says in his fake female voice. I slightly snicker at the attempt. I can’t believe that Myungsoo is actually doing this.

“Slowly,” I say continuing with the story as they act out what I say. “Marisa and Jinyoung found themselves in a fake relationship because of pictures that were taken by fans. They started off rocky until they became tolerable, until someone said some harsh words.”

Now it’s the scene where I told Marisa not to fall in love with me. Watching it again, I realize that I was kind of harsh.

“Don’t fall in love with me,” Gongchan says. “As soon as the agency says that I can break it off, I’m going to break it off.” Myungsoo, who is Marisa, doesn’t say anything and only watches as Gongchan leaves the stage, or rather the classroom set.

“They spent five months together until things started getting difficult between keeping up the act and really, attempting to deny their feelings for one another. Until one day, a scandal broke out between Jinyoung and another girl.”

“How could you!” Sandeul yells coming in the “classroom.” He’s playing the role of Sungyeol.

“What do you mean?” Gongchan asks playing innocent well. Sandeul slams the paper onto the desk that Gongchan is sitting as his eyes go wide. “No, no,” he says picking up the paper and shaking his head.

“The paper was spread around, causing a now rocky relationship with Jinyoung and Marisa,” I say, commentating the story. “At lunch, another conflict ensued.” While I talk about the events instead of giving them lines, they act it out, like mimes. “Sungyeol yelled at Jinyoung for not caring about Marisa, when in reality, Jinyoung really cared and was attempting to think about how to save their friendship. Sungyeol ran out of the room with Marisa following closely behind.

“That night, the day before Jinyoung’s birthday, Marisa and Jinyoung broke up after Jinyoung apologized to her for the thousandth time.”

“Jinyoung…oppa,” Myungsoo says. “I think we should break up. Let’s break up, let’s stop acting like this is real, it was purely imaginary. I’m sorry, too.”

“Marisa left Jinyoung standing there as the clock chimed twelve,” I say. “At his birthday party, Jinyoung told himself that he would let Marisa know his true feeling, but that plan was thwarted.”

“Jinyoungie-oppa,” Sungyeol says going up to Gongchan and hugging him. Sungyeol is playing the role of Seohyun, his girlfriend. “I can’t believe you sang that song for me, you’re the best.”

“Marisa misunderstood the situation then and stormed out of the party, leaving Jinyoung to shrug Seohyun off as Sungyeol went out to find Marisa. As Jinyoung finally found Marisa, he saw Marisa and Sungyeol kissing, destructing his heart. The next day, Jinyoung and Marisa had a heart to heart conversation at Marisa’s house, reestablishing their friendship.”

As I’m continuing the story, I can’t help but glance at Marisa in the audience a few times. She looks like she’s enjoying the story, she’s probably laughing at Myungsoo’s interpretation of her. I bet everyone finds it hilarious.

“Everything was going smoothly again, until Marisa and Jinyoung had to stay at the Infinite dorm because of stalkers. It was there that they experienced their first kiss, which was completely accidental and looked upon by the rest of the members. Then, something horrible happened. Jinyoung and Marisa were in a car accident and ended up in the hospital. Marisa stayed unconscious for a while until she finally woke up about a week before Christmas. When Marisa woke up though, Jinyoung never visited her. He didn’t feel the need to, after all, she had Sungyeol, but he recorded a DVD for Marisa for Christmas and somehow, it ended up in her hands. She watched t, she watched him confess his feelings for her.

“But Jinyoung made a mistake; he told Seohyun that he’d date her, that he liked her more than Marisa when it was all a lie. Slowly, Jinyoung and Seohyun broke apart and Sungyeol and Seohyun were suspected of dating, meaning that Sungyeol was cheating on Marisa.”

“Hey,” Gongchan says going up to Myungsoo, “what’s wrong?”

“Oh, nothing,” he says.

“Are you waiting for someone?” Myungsoo shakes his head. “Do you want to walk to school with me, then?”

“Sure,” Myungsoo says with his attempt at a girly smile. I laugh at his attempt as I’m sure everyone else does inside.

“Marisa, are you okay?”

“I’m fine.”

“You don’t look fine,” Gongchan says.

“Suddenly, Jinyoung grabs Marisa’s hand and takes her the other way towards the bus stop. Jinyoung says that they need a break from the world and takes Marisa to his hometown where they spend some time together alone. The day before they leave, Jinyoung finally works up the courage to ask Marisa to become his girlfriend. Happily, she accepts,” I say as I look at the stage. This part I’m looking forward to.

“Marisa, are you able to accept my feelings?” Gongchan asks. “You don’t have to accept or answer if you don’t want to.”

I watch as Myungsoo sort of tackles Gongchan and pretends like he just kissed him making some of the girls scream. It was my favorite to watch during rehearsal and it’s even my favorite now. Not only because it’s the moment that Marisa and I became real, but because Myungsoo is acting as the girl and has to take the lead.

“Marisa kept getting weird messages, though,” I continue with the story. “The owner was unknown and finally, they came back to Seoul to visit everyone and to have a good time when Sungyeol came and asked to speak to Marisa. Their talk went well and they became friends once again with all of the hard feelings pushed aside. And that is where the story comes to the present,” I say standing up. I walk over to grab Marisa’s hand while the rest of the members come out from backstage.

“Of course there are a couple of holes here and there,” Sandeul says.

“But it pretty much explains everything,” I say picking up the part. “It explains what Marisa and I went through to reach this point. Hopefully it answers all of your questions.” I turn away from the crowd and face Marisa.

Marisa’s POV

Jinyoung turns me so he can look at me. “Did you like it?” he asks me.

“I loved it,” I tell him. “I thought it was really funny. How did Myungsoo-oppa get stuck with being me?” All of us turn and look at Myungsoo, but he just shrugs his shoulders.

“How am I supposed to know? I was just told to wear this,” he says. “Then again, it was for you and Jinyoung, so I decided to deal with it.”

We all laugh and Jinyoung moves my head towards him one more time. “So now everyone knows about our relationship,” he says. “Is it okay?”

I nod my head. “Of course it’s okay. I just didn’t know you would do it in this manner. It’s very effective,” I say smiling. “The story was awesome.”

“I thought it’d be better than being bombarded with a thousand questions,” Jinyoung admits. His cheeks are starting to turn a little pink. “I love you, Marisa, I really do.”

“I love you, too,” I tell him looking him straight in the eyes, “Jinyoung-oppa.”

I see his eyes get wide with amazement. “What…you…what?” he asks slightly confused.

“Jinyoung-oppa,” I repeat.

“You just called me oppa,” he says pointing at me with a childish smile.

“That I did,” I say as Jinyoung pulls me closer as he kisses me on the lips in front of everyone.

It doesn’t matter that everyone can see. It doesn’t matter that the world is going to know that I’m Jung Jinyoung’s girlfriend. I’m simply happy and overjoyed that we’re together in this moment. We’ve come too far for either of us to turn back now. I truly feel like I found my adventure in my life, the thing that made me look forward to every day, and that person is Jung Jinyoung. Ever since I got here, he made me experience so much, so many feelings and new experiences. Even if it was just a mistake in the beginning because of some people and pictures, it turned into something beautiful. It really was, and still is, a beautiful mistake.

So this is officially the last "official" chapter, so then what's the other chapter that I was talking about? Shh, I'm not going to tell you :P

It'll probably be up tomorrow? Can this count as a double update? Well, I updated it at practically 2 in the morning, where I'm from, and now it's like eight at night (now it's almost 10, it took me like 2 hours to put up this chapter) so I guess? It's still on the same day.

Oh and the whole 'Jinyoung's Storytime!' idea is taken actually from Yamaa Tomohisa. If anyone is interested in him, he used to be on the Shounen Club and do this thing called 'Pi-Chan's Monologue.'
