Day 31: Showed up to a Halloween party in matching costumes

Tao didn’t think of Halloween as something special. It’s just a hype from America that people try to hype up here too, but it fails every time.

One thing that doesn’t fail, however, are the parties, and Tao can’t deny that he likes how those turn out. It’s still hard to sooth the aftereffects of the alcohol that they all drink too much of the following day and it’s just as hard to come up with a Halloween costume. You can’t show up in a costume you found in the first store you see nor the cliché and easy ones like vampires or mummies unless you want to be one of the dozens.

Tao thought weeks about what he would wear and when he finally thought of something, he both congratulates and scolds himself for thinking of it as it’ll surely come and bite him in the one day. (Hopefully not too soon.) Baekhyun is absolutely delighted when he hears how his best friend will go.

A stripper. A stripper from a club. Even more details; the sub stripper from the club.

Now, Tao is 100% sure it’ll put him at a disadvantage at some point when he sees how much of his assets the leather pants he’s wearing show off. Handcuffs are only closed around one of his wrists and the choker around his neck is a bit too tight to be comfortable, yet Tao likes the feeling it gives so he doesn’t loosen it.

The party is hosted by Chanyeol, Baekhyun’s current boyfriend and when Tao sees how sickly sweet they are with each other, it doesn’t look like they will break up anytime soon. And as much as Tao doesn’t want his teeth to rot, he’s happy for his best friend. Alas, their relationship is the reason the host is picking him up personally. When tao questioned it, as he thought Chanyeol would be busy preparing, he got the answer that their two younger friends, Jongin and Sehun, took the reins in their hands when it came to organizing and it was totally ok for Chanyeol to pick them up.

Now, as much as Tao loved the only younger friends he has, he is doubting their ability for once as they aren’t known as the most responsible ones, but since Chanyeol trusted them this much he decided to not say anything.

“Wow Tao! Looking good,” Baekhyun greets him when he enters the couple’s car.

“Thank you! You look even better,” and Tao means what he says. Baekhyun’s costume matches with the one his boyfriend is wearing and Tao can’t help but wish that he had a boyfriend so he could do the same things.

Jongin and Sehun actually outdone themselves, Tao concludes when he enters the party. He also notices they’re quite a lot of people already which surprises him since it’s quite early but he doesn’t mind it all.

It’s half into the night when Tao is quite buzzed already, has danced with too many strangers and sadly-not-so-unknown drunk people and enjoys him to the fullest then someone tugs on the handcuffs that stayed on his wrist the whole night.

“Looks like we match baby,” the male that has grabbed his handcuffs says, the stranger’s obviously the dominant side of his costume and Tao watches with wide eyes as the male clicks the other handcuff around his own wrist. “Now you’re not getting away from me either.”

Tao doesn’t think dislikes that.
