Day 29: “You’re a werecat and I’m a werewolf but we both really like each other” AU

Two male bodies occupy a too small one person bed, the smaller body in the arms of the taller man. Both creatures didn’t try to appear as humans; their ears and tails out. They were different though, Tao is graced with feline ears and a tail while his secret boyfriend is graced with those of a canine.

Which also translates into the source of all the problems they have been fighting lately.

A werecat and a werewolf in love isn't uncommon; they’re still partly human after all and humans are known for making mistakes all their life. What is uncommon is when they do that- even less seen is the family agreeing on the decision and wishing them well.

Tao and Kris are made for each other, even those who don’t agree with it can see it, yet the social guidelines make everyone disagree with it.

“Will they ever accept this?”

“Kris, we can’t force society to change.”

“Well, society sure is forcing us to change. I am not going to give you up anytime soon yet they are demanding me to leave you as if you mean nothing to me.”

When Tao started to notice how the world was punishing Kris for being with him, he couldn’t enjoy their moments together without feeling guilty anymore. Kris sold the meat he caught for less than he did before, he didn’t meet up with his friends as much anymore and his family coming over was even more scarce.

So he made sure Kris didn’t get punished anymore.

And disappeared.

Only to never come back again.

Tao had been found dead after two days of searching. While one would suspect suicide after such a tragic story, a fast look at the body showed it was everything but. It had been revealed that Kris’ friends decided to take revenge at the werecat for breaking Kris’ heart by leaving him.

It had been the worst decision ever. Yeah, Kris was mad when he discovered that Tao left him, but he knew the younger didn’t do it with ill intentions. His friends, however, did do it with ill intentions. That was the week he lost both his love of his life and his best friends.
