NOBODY’s POV

Rae walked in the club where she used to work and smiled. It never changed.
She walked pass the people and saw Mindy, her old buddy handing drinks to people

“Need some help?” Rae beamed and Mindy turned around and looked at her wide eyed

“Nina?!” She screamed through the loud music and Rae laughed nodding

“What are you doing here?” Mindy had grabbed Rae’s hand and pulled her towards the bar

“Just passed by. I never thought you’d still work here.” Rae sat down and smiled

“I had no where else to go Nina, and well. I didn’t have what you had, so I was pretty much safe here”

“I guess so.” Rae smiled and looked around.

“Here.” Mindy had handed her a drink and smiled “its on the house.”

“i—I don’t think I sh—“ Rae shook her head

“What? Are you an angel now Nina?” Mindy laughed and Rae uncomfortably joined her, taking the glass and drinking it.

“It’s a busy night, care to help me? I’ll pay you for it.”

“I do need some cash, but this is just a one time thing.” Rae nodded standing and jumped over the counter, removing her jacket and tying up her hair

“We all missed you Nina.” Mindy smiled and Rae nodded, biting her lower lip not sure what she had gotten into.

Xander was scratching the back of his head as he looked around. Where could she have gone?!

“hyung, are you sure she’s here?” Kevin yawned and looked at his watch “she’s been gone for two hours now.”

“She wont go home that fast because she knows we can easily go to her.” Xander mumbled and gripped his phone harder, he couldn’t contact her.

“Hey”
Xander quickly turned around “I heard Nina is back, lets go check her out.”
A group of boys were talking and crowding as they walked into the door of this club.

“I wonder who they’re talking about.” Kibum said as he grabbed Soohyuns arm and walked into the club

“Yaa! We have no time for this.” Eli said walking in with them

“Their gonna be in there for a while.” Kiseop looked at Xander who glared at them

“You guys wait here, I’ll go get them.” He growled and walked in with them. He pushed his way pass people and finally saw Kibum’s back.

“Yaa!” He patted it but Kibum didn’t react, Xander then looked at Eli whose jaw tightened. He looked at where their gaze landed and saw Rae….

He saw her holding a tray and drinking a glass when suddenly a guy went near her and wrapped his hands around her waist

“So the amazing Nina is back I hear?” He whispered to her and Rae pushed him away

“You heard wrong.” Rae scoffed and tried walking away but the guy pulled her back

“YAA!” She screamed trying to push him off but he didn’t budge “Let me go.”

“Nina…..” He whispered when suddenly someone had pushed him off her, making him land first on the ground. Xander had placed Rae behind him, glaring intensely at the guy who glared back

“She’s had enough of you.” Xander growled and the guy stood up with a scoff

“And who are you?” He asked and Xander pulled off his glasses and scarf

“Alexander Lee Eusebio, ever heard of me?” Xander hissed and the rest of U-kiss had went behind him.
The guy backed away and quickly ran away.

“Okay, everyone, the shows over. The club is closing, get out!!” Mindy screamed

 Xander then turned to look at Rae who was sweating like crazy.

“XAN XAN!” She beamed leaning on him “You’re here!”

“And your drunk.” He sighed “How did you get into this place?”

“Doesn’t matter, Lets dance.” Rae had pulled his hand but Xander didn’t move.

“Eli, get some hot water and a towel.” Xander then looked at Kibum “Call Kevin or Dong ho and ask them if they brought with them an extra shirt or something” He then had Rae in his arms and carried her to the back room.

“YAAA!!! LET GO OF ME!!!!” Rae screamed kicking her feet, but it didn’t affect Xander. He sat Rae on the counter and held her face in both his hands

“SHUT UP!” He yelled and Rae’s mouth closed as she pressed her lips together.

“What the hell were you thinking Rae? Going into this club and getting drunk like this?” Xander threw his hands down

“Fun.” Rae smiled “I was thinking of fun.”

“Getting wasted is fun? Almost getting is fun? Is that what you consider fun? Is this what type of person you are Rae?”

“I wanted to have fun because its something you took away from me!!!!” She yelled as tears started to form in her eyes “Your always breathing down my neck!”

“To protect you!” Xander screamed back

“From what?!” Tears slid down her cheeks

“From pain—From hurt” Xander lowered his voice, seeing her tears

“Who’s trying to hurt me Xander? No one, just you.” She looked away from him, wiping her tears

“I—“ Xander sighed and walked closer to her, placing both hands on the counter, locking Rae between them. He dropped his head “I’m sorry”

 Rae suddenly wrapped her hands around his neck and laid her head on his shoulder “Sorry for being such a burden.”

“You are not a burden Rae.” Xander whispered but closed his mouth when he heard her light snores; he smiled to himself “Your just a Drunkie…..”

“I got the towel and hot water.” Mindy walked in and found Rae laying down on the counter while Xander simply fixed her hair, tucking it behind her ears

“Is Nina okay?” She walked towards them and Xander balled his hands into fists

“Why do you keep calling her Nina?” Xander said through his teeth and Mindy looked at him, setting down the bowl of water and dipping the towel into it.

“You don’t know Rae’s past huh?” She asked him “If you be quiet, I’ll tell you”
Xander nodded quietly and Mindy smiled

“Rae lost her parents when she was sixteen. So she stayed at a foster home for a while. When she was 18, she was granted freedom, but also had to fend for herself. She spent one year looking for a job, but got nothing, until one day Mr. Kan, the owner of this club found her in the alley out at the back, sleeping beside the dumpster. He was kind enough to let Rae stay here and he even offered her a job as a bartender. And well, I became her tutor. Teaching her how to hand drinks and how to get people to buy more drinks. Becoming a bartender, you had to have looks which Rae had, no doubt. You had to have the body and once again Rae had that. You had to be approachable and alluring, now that’s what I thought Rae. I thought her how to be alluring but not ty. We even gave Rae a hidden name……Nina. And after a while the teacher actually ended up being the student. Everyone loved Rae; they found her attitude absolutely amazing. Her looks absolutely gorgeous since she would always dress up and fix herself whenever work started. Men wanted her more than they should’ve but they never came close to actually hurting her to do so. Until one day, a group of boys came and spotted her. They’d call her everytime, try to talk to her and even one of them grabbed her hand and forced her to dance with them. She didn’t mind it at first, but that’s when they suddenly all dragged her outside, trying to get her into their car. If I hadn’t saw them do that, no one would had stopped them and who knew what could’ve happened to her. Eventually, Rae decided to quit, she didn’t want to do this anymore. She even admitted she didn’t like to bartend, she was only forced to, since she had no money and nothing to eat. She moved away and as I can see, she cut her hair and doesn’t fix herself up like she used to anymore.” Mindy had just finished wiping Rae and looked at Xander

“For some odd reason she came back to this place which she swore she hated and never wanted to see.” Mindy smiled “As much as I wish Rae could work here again, I won’t risk that.”

“And I’m not allowing it.” Xander said

“If you don’t mind me asking, but are you her boyfriend?”

Xander simply looked away “As far as you know…..Nina is mine.”

Mindy smiled “Atleast someone is caring for her. Rae isn’t really used to someone protecting her around like that. It must be a relief for her now huh?”

“Then why does she keep running?” Xander sighed

Mindy looked at him and patted his shoulder “That’s what she’s been doing all her life Xander. Running.” She then walked away and Xander sighed looking at Rae

“No matter how far you run.” He knelt down and looked at her face “I’m going to run after you” 

a/n: You thought she was a stripper at first huh? HAHAHAHAH!
Nah, she aint. She was just forced to be a bartender.
