Lee Minji, a studious Korean-American 16-year-old who lies to her parents about going to Korea to study medicine, wins a contest and gets to train with Starship Entertainment during the summer. Welcomed with opened arms, Boyfriend befriends her, especially Kwangmin who happens to fall in love with her at first sight. What happens when the company authorities think she's the wrong winner?
