After lesson ended, Hyejeong waited for Seolhyun outside of the school gate. She leaned her body on the rail with folded arms. She whistled as she was bored from waiting for too long and heaved a heavy sigh. She continuously glanced at her wristwatch, couldn’t help to worry as she couldn’t reach the person.

“Oh come on” She mumbled silently.

Suddenly she heard footsteps were getting closer toward her direction. She knew from the loud steps it must be someone she was waiting for.

“I’m sorry, I’m a bit late. I-“

Hyejeong lifted hand to motion Seolhyun to stop talking. She stood up straight and faced her. 

“What is the first rule?” Her voice came out stern yet husky.

“What?”

“The first rule”

Seolhyun put her finger on her chin trying hard to remember what Hyejeong had told her about the rules thingy. She couldn’t deny the fact that she found the girl was cute and charming, even though the girl sometimes acted like a total nerd but Hyejeong as she got more closer to the girl, she saw something in the girl that couldn’t be seen by other person.

The families were still in the restaurant. The parents were happily and made themselves busy with talking to each other. Seolhyun excused herself to go to washroom and soon Hyejeong followed. She was washing her hands when someone talked to her making her jumped slightly. Hyejeong came from nowhere had now stood behind her.

“I’ll accept this engagement but there are rules you need to follow” Hyejeong leaned her body on the wall.

Seolhyun sighed and spun her body to face her fiancée “What?”

“Okay, listen carefully because I won’t repeat myself just because you’re too silly not to listen to me”

Seolhyun rolled her eyes felt annoyed “Fine”

“First, don’t let me wait for you for too long, minimum is 3 minutes because I hate waiting”

Seolhyun’s mouth was agape.

“Second, answer my phone call everytime I call you. Third…”

Hyejeong came closer to Seolhyun making her to step back.

“No secret. Fourth, no flirting with other people. And lastly, no skinship…between us”

“Don’t make you wait for too long” Seolhyun said slightly stuttered.

“And second rule?”

She was thinking again as she was a bit forgot about the rules. Hyejeong tapped her feet waiting for her answer impatiently. Seeing the slight annoyed face on Hyejeong but yet so beautiful.

‘Gosh how could a person be annoying and charming at the same time?’

“Em, answer your phone call?”

“Exactly! There you know the rules but still what did you do? I called you many times but no answered. What is the point of having phone if you don’t want to answer any call”

Seolhyun sighed “I’m sorry okay? I was in the library to borrow some books for reference of our assignment” She pouted hoping that Hyejeong would buy it but no.

“Since you already broke 2 rules, you are going to receive punishment”

“What punishment?”

“I’ll let you know later, now let’s go, we are late” Hyejeong reached for Seolhyun’s hand and intertwined it.

Seolhyun froze and looked at their intertwined hand with wide eyes. She didn’t speak nor move.

“Yah, what are you doing?” Hyejeong was oblivious with their situation.

“H-Hyejeong” She looked up only to meet Hyejeong eyes. “You just broke the fifth rule”

This time, Hyejeong’s eyes widen and she immediately let go Seolhyun’s hand. She somehow rubbed her hand on her pant. Her face could be seen that she was feeling uneasy and blushing?

“I-I just wanted you to move” She slightly stuttered and cursed herself for doing that.

Seolhyun smirked playfully. She thought it could be fun to tease this pretty girl “Because you broke 1 rule, you are punish too”

Hyejeong’s eyes became even wide than before. She gulped how could she was being fooled by her own rules. Plus, the girl infront of her was having her cheeky look and winked to her seductively. Couldn’t believe a nerd like her could flirt.

“Let’s go”

But she wouldn’t barge from her place. Her brain stopped working, legs were trembling, sweats could be seen on her forehead and heart beating faster. What she felt she didn’t know exactly.

Only then she snapped from her own world because she felt something poked her cheek.  She looked up and saw Seolhyun with her puff face.

“What are you doing?”

“Yah! I’m the one who make the rules, so I’m not included in punishment if I broke it” Hyejeong retorted.

“That’s unfair” Seolhyun pouted.

“Aish, let’s go, we might not finish the assignment on time if we still stuck in here” Hyejeong walked away, leaving Seolhyun behind.

‘What’s wrong with me?’

They were in Hyejeong’s big room to start doing their assignment. They were given about 3 weeks to finish it but now they only had less than 2 weeks to finish it as Hyejeong said she was always busy and had no time. However, it was just an excuse for her to escape from doing it and had told once to Seolhyun to start doing it alone without her but that brilliant girl wanted to do it together as this was a group assignment. Didn’t know why but she just tried her attempt once and immediately followed what Seolhyun said.

“Yah Shin Hyejeong, don’t you want to help me?”

“Yes! I won!” Hyejeong fisted on the air. She was lying on her bed, currently playing Tekken on her PS4 and ignored the presence of another person in the room.
