“Because she is mine”

The words from the person surprised Seolhyun. She laid her eyes on the person and blinked countlessly as she didn’t believe who was standing beside her. The person kept talking to the guys on behalf of her. She felt like all turned to slow motion as she kept staring until she didn’t realize the person grabbed her wrist and brought her to school corridor. Seolhyun snapped out after the person tapped on her cheek.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” The person asked.

“I… I” Seolhyun stuttered.

The person sighed and started to move away from the shock girl after saying “If you have nothing to say, I leave”

“Wait!” She grabbed the person wrist, the person finally facing Seolhyun with annoyed look.

“T-Thank you, f-for helping m-me”

“Why are even stuttering?”

Seolhyun rubbed her neck nervously and embarrassed as she felt her cheeks extremely red.

“Hey” The person spoke making Seolhyun lifted her head and raised her brows questioning.

“Can you let go my hand? Its hurt” Seolhyun realized she held the person hand tight and let it go after being asked. The person rubbed her wrist on where Seolhyun held it.

“Wait for me infront of the school gate later, we have to go to the market for the survey. But now I have to go because I have meeting with my team”

“But Hyejeong, the teacher said we can start doing it next week” Seolhyun retorted.

“I am busy next week, I have some works to do. So lets just do it today since I am free after the meeting” Hyejeong said before walking away to the gym to meet her cheerleading team. Yes Hyejeong was the leader of cheerleading team of her school. But she had decided to retired and passed the position of leader to someone else. That was why she held the meeting.

Seolhyun was waiting for Hyejeong for about an hour already. She nervously kicked rocks on the ground. She was busy observing a couple who hand in hand walking past her, how she wished she would walk hand in hand like that with the person she adored and ‘loved in hate’, which is Hyejeong to be exact.

As she was smiling foolishly, suddenly she heard noises from behind of her. She turned around and saw Hyejeong with her team. Hyejeong had wearing her cheerleading jacket which she always wore during school. It became her habit to put her hands on the jacket pocket and Seolhyun found it rather cool.  

Seolhyun frowned as she saw a girl wrapped her hand on Hyejeong shoulder and Hyejeong laughed whenever the girl spoke.

“Who is she?” She whispered to herself.

“Hi bookworm” Hyejeong called her. The girl was standing beside Hyejeong and laughing.

“Honey, why do you call her bookworm?”

“Well she always has books on her hands wherever she go” she said eyeing the books on Seolhyun hands.

“Oh I see. So now you are hanging out with this bookworm? What? To teach you how to finish reading a book for one day?” The girl said while laughing.

Hyejeong scoffed and glared at the girl. The girl noticed the glare and decided to stop.

“Okay okay I’m sorry” She glanced at her wristwatch “I have to go now, my mom is waiting, which is soon-to-be your mom-in-law” The girl seductively said while bit her lower lip, which i
