Sungjong was deep in his new job, so the thought of Hoya and Dongwoo had moved aside from his mind for a moment. The time also passed quickly, and it was 9 pm already. It was time for the restaurant to close. The 3 chefs were at the outside of the restaurant.

“Ah, finally! Good job for today, Sungjong-ssi!” Dongwoon said while gave 2 thumbs up for Sungjong.

Sungjong shook his head. “Nah, without you and Raina I couldn’t do this. Thank you, guys!”

Raina smiled. “Don’t mention it! We are glad we can help you too.”

“Well then Sungjong-ssi, I and Raina have to go now.”

Sungjong giggled. “To a date?”

“No!” Dongwoon and Raina shouted simultaneously.

“I… I see…”

“Sungjong-ssi, we are neighbors, so we always go home together. Don’t misunderstand it.” Dongwoon whined.

“Yeah, besides, Dongwoon has Kikwang already!”

“Yah, shut up Raina! You also have a major crush on that dance teacher! What is his name? Oh, Jae-mm…” Before Dongwoon could finish his words, Raina had already silenced his mouth with her palm.

“Say a word again and you are dead Dongwoon!”

Dongwoon made a peace sign with his fingers and Raina finally released him. When Dongwoon was fully released Raina’s grip, he ran away and shouted girlishly. “Jaehoon-oppa!”

“Yah, Dongwoon! Do you want to die, huh? Oh, Sungjong-ssi, see you tomorrow, okay?” And with that Raina ran away to chase Dongwoon down, leaving an amused Sungjong behind.

“Jongie!”

Sungjong titled his head towards the sound source and found Hoya approached him.

‘Gosh, why the hell does he have to come in this time? Such a mood-ruiner!’

Hoya patted Sungjong’s shoulder. “Hey, you did a great job! Dongwoo had tried you samgyetang, and he said it is the most delicious samgyetang he has ever eaten!”

‘Yeah, whatever!’

Sungjong didn’t care if Dongwoo like his food or not. Sungjong didn’t care about Dongwoo’s compliments. Sungjong basically didn’t care about Dongwoo at all.

But still, Sungjong had to act like he was glad. “Wow, I feel honored.”

“Err… So, you will go home now?”

“Yeah.”

“I will drive you home.”

Sungjong shook his head. “You don’t have to do that!”

“But, I was the one who drove you here this morning. I should be the one who drive you home too. Just this once, okay? I won’t do this tomorrow.”

Sungjong sighed. “Fine.”

Sungjong finally let Hoya drove him to his house.

Awkward silence took over once they were inside Hoya's car. One person was about to say something but afraid to voice it out, and the other wanted to know something but didn’t dare to ask.

Curiousity kills the cat, and curiousity might kill Sungjong too. So, he decided to speak first. “So, Dongwoo is your boyfriend, right?”

“Yeah…” Hoya answered without directed his gaze away from the road.

“Oh…” Is all Sungjong could say.

Hoya sighed. “He is my childhood friend...”

“I see…”

“Yeah, and he is also my bestfriend. When we were in senior year of high school, he confessed to me.”

“And you accepted him.”

“I didn’t have guts to say no to him.”

Sungjong didn’t say anything, he didn’t know what to say anyway.

But, although Hoya didn’t receive a respond, he continued. “I love him, as a bestfriend and as a childhood friend. But, I never love him as a boyfriend.”

Sungjong still kept silent.

“I never fell in love with someone before.” Hoya glanced at Sungjong. “Not until I met you.”

Sungjong looked at Hoya in disbelief. And Hoya saw the look that Sungjong gave to him from the corner of his eyes. “Yeah, I know you might think I’m crazy, but believe me, I fell for you from the first time we met.”

Sungjong furrowed his eyebrow. “Really?”

“Yeah, you were the first person that made me feel like this.”

As Hoya finished his words, they arrived in front of Sungjong’s house. Hoya finally turned his head towards Sungjong and looked straight at his eyes.

“You are the one who I want to spend my days with, not Dongwoo.”

“Then, tell him!”

“I… I can’t…”

“Why? You love him, huh? You lied to me just to get into my pants, right? If you think I’m that easy, you are totally wrong!” Sungjong was about to open the car’s door. But, Hoya tugged his wrist.

Sungjong tried to release his wrist from Hoya’s grip. “Let me go!”

“I won’t let you go, Sungjong! I love you! I can’t let you go!”

“Then, why don’t you break up with Dongwoo? You said you love me, but you can’t let Dongwoo go! You can’t be selfish like this! You have to choose, Hoya!” Sungjong shouted while tears started to fall from his eyes. Seeing Sungjong cried, Hoya released his grip from Sungjong’s wrist.

Sungjong continued. “You know what? I love you too. But, I don’t want to torture my heart because of love anymore. My heart had broken once. I don’t want my heart broken twice, okay?”

Sungjong finally got off from the car, left Hoya alone.

And both of them were thinking the same thing.
