Twenty Three
things you saidHe had some deadlines to rush, but Minwoo came over with disheveled hair and heavy breaths the day before my departure.
I didn't allow him to tell me he was sorry for all that happened.
We promised to put it behind us and he said he wanted to send me off since my parents were still back in my hometown and don't see me enough to bother whether I'm in the city or in America.
I knew very well he was hysterical and it was for a good reason. Change always unsettles people; I was nervous too.
I'm just glad we managed to sort it out before I left, because I wanted to be able to hold him and assure him.
He pounced onto me as I did some last minute packing up, almost not letting me lock the main door.
"What is it?" I smiled softly, letting him drag me away.
He pushed me onto my bed with a determined expression, pressing his lips against mine.
"Make me unable to forget you."
I watched him smile, so beautiful against his features but also with a tinge of pain.
"I want your most intense love to last me for your absence."
I was ready to break him.
Ready to hear him whine.
To feel him tremble.
Watch him cry.
He smiled as he cuddled closer, irregular breathing in sync with mine. I s my arm around his waist and brought him closer.
I tried to memorise the way his body felt against mine.
The feeling of an irreplaceable warmth beside me.
It was going to be cold from here on.
