“Where are you taking me?” Aeri fought in his arms.

“Put me down!” She hit him repeatedly.

“Let me go!” She screamed but he continued to ignore her.

Hoya put her down once they reached the parking lot.

Aeri tried to turn back but he immediately grabbed her arm.

She spun a few times before hitting her face against his chest.

“I’m not Ae – ” Aeri tried to say but he interrupted her with the words she’s been longing to hear from him.

“I’m not letting you go again.” He wrapped his arms around her.

“I let you go once and I’m not doing it again.”

“Ho…Hoya.” Aeri stuttered.

“I missed you Aeri.” Hoya finally whispered into her ear.

With those words Aeri’s world fell apart – The thing she had worried about most: Hoya finally found out the truth.

“Why didn’t you let me face this with you? Why did you have to do it on your own?”

“I…”

“We promised never to take our rings off, but you broke the promise…to protect me. I should be the one protecting you.”  

“You opened my gift, didn’t you?” Aeri sighed. “You weren’t supposed to open it until I leave…”

“But I’m glad I didn’t.” He pulled away from hugging her.

For a moment, Aeri was lost in his eyes, but she quickly snapped back into reality.

“You shouldn’t be here. It’s not safe.” Aeri turned her back on him.

“Aeri…” Hoya put his hands on her and spun her around to face him.

“I don’t care if I’m putting my life at risk. I don’t care if he kills me. I just want to be with you. I can’t live without you.”

“But…”

“If we die. We die together.”

Aeri broke into a smile as she cried happy tears.

“Why are you crying?” Hoya gasped, quickly wiping them away with his thumb.

“I missed you. I missed you so much.” She embraced him.

“I missed you too.” Hoya smiled before he locked lips with her.

This moment couldn’t have been any more perfect, but it was at that very moment that a car swerved in front of them.
