“Kim Aeri listen to me. We have to report him to the police. Now!” Kim Sunggyu held his younger sister by the shoulders with a firm grip.

“But…we…I…” Aeri stuttered looking at her older brother with worried eyes.

“Aeri, we can’t keep him here. He needs to be turned in!”   

Six months ago

“AHHHHHH!” Aeri screamed when she opened the door to leave for her academy.

“Why? What’s wrong?” Sunggyu raced to his sister.

“Wh…who is that? How did he get here?” Aeri pointed at the body at her feet.

She bent down and brushed away his hair to reveal a cut and bruised face.

“Aeri, careful!” Sunggyu pulled her back.

He examined the boy and when he felt it was safe, he carried him into their apartment.   

“Oppa, should we call the police?”

“Please don’t.” The boy grabbed Aeri’s hand.

His touch startled her but she held onto it assure he was safe.

“But…but you’re hurt…”

“Please. Please don’t call the police.” He coughed before falling unconscious again.

“Oppa’s going to go get some medicine. Can you take care of him?”

“Of course!” Aeri made an okay sign with her hands.

“I wonder what happened.” Aeri dabbed the warm towel over his face.

“This must hurt.” She examined cuts and bruises.

“Please! Don’t! Don’t hurt us! It wasn’t us! Get away! Howon ah! Run!” He cried in his sleep.

“Shhhh, it’s okay. No one’s gonna hurt you.” Aeri hushed in a gentle voice.

“You’re awake!” Aeri rushed to his side.

“Where am I?” He tried to push himself up.

“You’re at the Kim’s residence.” Aeri supported him up.

“What’s your name and what happened?”

“I…I…”

“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you. I’m nice!” Aeri gave him a big smile.

“I’m Jang Dongwoo and…and…they’re out to get us.”

“Who’s they?” Sunggyu entered the room.

Dongwoo dropped his head and kept quiet.

“You don’t have to tell us if don’t want to.” Sunggyu patted him on his shoulder, gently.

“Where’s Howon?” He suddenly remembered touching the bracelet on his wrist.

“Howon?” Aeri looked from him to her brother in confusion.

“He was with me! Where is he?”

“You weren’t with anyone when we found you.” Sunggyu answered.

“I have to find him!” He tried getting out of bed.
