Fifty Nine
Free My Heart“Have you two finished inviting Hoya’s friends?” Woohyun nagged for the hundredth time.
“Yea sure.” Sungyeol answered carelessly as he tossed some popcorn into his mouth.
“So who have you guys invited so far?”
“Don’t ask me. I was only in charge of Miri, Joshua and Areum.” L laughed.
“Sungyeol!” Woohyun snapped.
“Yea yea.” Sungyeol waved his hand at Woohyun.
“Have you even started inviting people? The party’s tomorrow.”
“Of course.”
“Who?”
“I got Sungjong to invite Hyunsik, Kwangmin and Jaehwan.”
“Okay how about Joshua and Areum? Can they come?” Woohyun asked.
“It turns out Areum and Joshua are leaving Korea…tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow? But didn’t she promise she’d…” Woohyun gasped.
“I guess she changed her mind.” L shrugged.
“Is it possible for her to stay just one more day? You know how much it’d mean for Hoya…” Woohyun sighed.
“Hyung, let’s just give up.”
“What do you mean give up?” Woohyun furrowed his eyebrows.
“I think it’ll mean more for you than it will for Hoya. We can’t keep living like this. We’re lying to ourselves hoping that Areum is really Aeri. Even Hoya seems to have accepted the fact that Areum isn’t Aeri.”
“It’s not called lying when we know it’s her.” Woohyun defended.
“L’s right. Maybe we should just let this go. We were fine before meeting Areum.” Sungyeol sighed.
“Still…I would have meant so much for Hoya…”
“Or it would have given him false hope and caused him more pain…” L stressed.

“Aeri, are you finished packing?” Joshua knocked on her door.
“Just about.”
“What do you mean just about? You haven’t even started!” He looked at everything spread out on the ground.
“We have two more days. What’s the rush?” Aeri laughed.
“Didn’t I tell you we’re leaving tomorrow? Appa changed our flight time.”
“Tomorrow?” Aeri gasped.
“The 28th. That’s tomorrow.”
“I thought we were leaving on the 29th though...”
“Why? Does it matter?” Joshua raised his eyebrow.
“Yes…I mean…no…but…”
“But?”
“I kinda promised Woohyun oppa that I’d go to Hoya’s birthday party…”
“You did?”
Aeri nodded.
“And do you want to go?”
Aeri nodded again.
“There’s something I want to do. Something I need to finish…so can’t we leave the day after tomorrow instead?”
Joshua let out a deep sigh.
One that Aeri had never seen before.
“Is something wrong?” She worried.
“I’m sorry…”
“Why? Oppa...what's wrong?”
“Aeri, we have to leave tomorrow. Actually, you have to leave tomorrow by noon.”
“Why by noon?” Aeri raised her eyebrow.
“I wasn’t planning on telling you this because I didn’t think I’d have to but I guess I have no choice now…” He sighed.
“What is it?”
“It turns out the situation with you and Sian’s father is out of my appa’s control. It’s not something he can interfere with…It’s complicated.” Joshua confessed.
Aeri wasn’t sure how to respond because she never thought Josh
