Fifty Seven
Free My Heart“Who did you bring home?” Woohyun teased when he saw Miri.
“Hi Woohyun oppa.”
“I’m making dinner; do you want me to make yours too?”
“No.” L sat down on the couch.
“We just ate.” Miri walked over to see what Woohyun was making.
“Why does he look so furious?” Woohyun asked Miri.
“He’s upset because my brother’s friend isn’t Aeri.”
“Aeri?” Woohyun turned to L.
“If you saw her, you’d think she was Aeri too. They look exactly the same.” L defended.
“I agree. They’re identical.”
“Identical?”
Miri nodded.
“Except, Areum’s from Canada and I think she grew up there. From what I know, she doesn’t have any family here.” She added.
“It’s not possible for two people to look so similar.” L sighed.
“Could maybe Aeri have a twin?” Miri asked.
“A twin?” Woohyun lookedat her.
“Maybe Aeri’s parents only kept her and gave Areum away.” Miri hypothesized.
“Not possible. Aeri’s family was well off, they wouldn’t have to give up a child.” L shut down her idea.
“Maybe they were forced to.”
“It’s not a drama, these things don’t actually happen.” Woohyun laughed.
“Then what’s your explanation?” Miri walked over to L.
“I don’t know, but I’m going to prove she’s our Aeri.” L promised.
“And how will you do that?” Miri asked.
“I just need to talk to her alone.”
“Then come by my house tomorrow. Actually, why don’t both of you come over tomorrow? Bring Sungyeol oppa too. She might be able to hide her true identity from one of you, but not all 3 of you.” Miri smiled.

When Aeri woke up, she found Joshua sleeping in a chair next to her bed.
Her hand was in his.
With her other hand, she gently brushed his hair from his face.
Aeri’s touch caused Joshua to wake up.
“You’re up.” He slowly opened his eyes.
“Yea.” Aeri smiled.
“Are you feeling better?”
“Sorry…” She apologized instead.
“I was so scared something would happen to you…”
“Don’t worry. I’m a strong girl. I won’t die.” She joked.
“Still…” He pulled Aeri into his arms.
“I’m just glad you’re okay.”
“Me too.” Miri barged into the room.
“I heard you got sick after dinner yesterday. What did you do?” She turned to Joshua.
“Hey! It wasn’t me.”
“I think I just ate too much. Indigestion maybe?” Aeri laughed.
“But why are you still here?” Joshua turned to his sister. “Shouldn’t you be out on a date with your boyfriend.”
“Nope we have other plans and I came to talk to Areum.”
“Talk to me?” Aeri asked.
“Look at this.” She handed Aeri her phone. “You look exactly like her! No wonder L mistook you for her yesterday.”
Aeri flipped through the photos as she was reminded of her memories.
The ones she tried to forget.
“Okay. That’s enough.” Joshua took the phone from Aeri and handed it back to his sister.
“So?” Mir
