“Here’s some handouts to work on, we’ll have another meeting Thursday after school.”

“Thanks Mr. Edwards, I’ll see you in class tomorrow.” Aeri bowed and hurried out the door.

“Where is it?” She panicked tracing her steps from earlier that day.

“It has to be here.” She mumbled looking in every corner and crevice of the school.

Since her discharge from the hospital, Aeri hadn’t taken off her bracelet, the one Dongwoo left her.

And today, for the first time, she took it off only to have it disappear.

“I can’t lose you! I can’t…” She rummaged through her desk.

When she finally accepted that she had lost the bracelet, Aeri packed her things and headed home.

As she left the room, an arm shot out in front of her face.

“Ow.” She flinched in pain after running her nose into the arm.

Today, her reflexes just weren’t up to par.

“Are you okay?” Hoya examined her face making sure nothing was broken.

“Oh… it’s you.” She smiled feeling slightly better seeing that it was Hoya.

“Why is he still here? Did he wait for me?” Aeri thought.

“Give me your hand.”

“Huh?” Aeri blurted taken aback by his sudden boldness.

“Just give me your hand.”

Aeri complied and stuck out her hand.

“Here.” He put on her bracelet.

“My bracelet! You found it!” Aeri’s eyes beamed.

“Thank you!” She threw her arms around him.

“Thank you Hoya…you don’t know how much this bracelet means to me…” She spoke.

“But I do…” He thought pulling away.

“Are you going home now?” She asked with high hopes.

He didn’t answer.

“I’ll take that as a yes. Let’s walk home together then.”

“Sure.” Hoya wanted to say but he couldn’t.

“No I have something to do.”

“You’re lying.” Aeri stepped in front of him and pouted.

Hoya gave her a cold glare and when Aeri backed away, Hoya walked off leaving her to be.

“Why do you always leave me like that?” Aeri yelled.

Hoya stopped his footsteps for a second. He hesitated whether he should turn around or not, but he didn’t.

“Fine.” Aeri muttered and walked the other way.

When Aeri reached the main gate, Hyunsik jumped in front of her.

“Oh hi.” Aeri stumbled backwards.

“Hi.” He smiled.

“What are you still doing here? Everyone left hours ago.”

“I was waiting for you.”

“Oh, do you need something?” She asked.

“No…I mean yes…I mean…I want to walk you home.” He rubbed the back of his head.

“Oh.” Aeri blushed.

“Why can’t Hoya be more like you?” She thought.
