“Hoya!” He heard Aeri’s voice but everything had gone dark.

“Aeri…” He called her name but whenever he opened his mouth, there was no sound.

“Hoya! Hoya! Hoya!” She repeatedly called his name.

He could hear her voice but he couldn’t see her face.

He couldn’t move his hands, feet or body.

It felt like he had all the Earth’s weight on top of him.

“Hoya!” She called one last time before he felt the weight lifted off him.

His eyes shot open immediately and he found himself staring straight into Aeri’s eyes.

His body was soaked in sweat as he gasped for air.

“Are you okay?” She tilted her head as she hovered over him.

Hoya immediately sat up and wrapped his arms.

“Eww! You’re all sweaty!” She whined fighting to escape.

“You’re okay.” He repeated, the back of her head.

“Of course... Why wouldn’t I be?”

“I thought…I thought he took you.”

There was a pause, one that was worryingly long.

“I…I think you just had a nightmare. I…I’ve been by your side the entire time.” She stuttered.

“A nightmare?” He asked.

Aeri nodded before she wrapped her arms around him and rested her head in the crook of his shoulder.

"Only a nightmare."

“But it felt so real…” He thought.

“Morning.” Aeri said once she saw that Hoya had open his eyes.

“Hm?” He stretched his eyes and gave her a smile.

“Let’s go on a date.” She smiled.

“Date?”

“Our first date.” She held up one finger.

“What do you have planned?” Hoya asked once they boarded the subway.

“We’re gonna go shopping, then sticker photos, then the aquarium, then a café, then the beach for a nightview, then - ”

“That’s a little much for one day, isn’t it?” He laughed, cutting her off.

“No! I want to do everything with you! I’ve waiting for this day for a long time.” She pouted.

“We have all the time to do everything. We don’t have to do everything at once.” He held her hand but she immediately fell quiet.

“Right?” Hoya asked.

“I guess…but just for these few days that we’re here…”

Hoya turned to her and gave her a concerned look.

“It’s just… I don’t know when we’ll come back to Busan. So…can we? Let’s just do as much as we can together?” Aeri asked.   

“Of course.” Hoya smiled but he couldn’t help but sense something was different about Aeri.

“How about this one?” Hoya picked out a purple sweater.

Aeri shook her head.

“This one?” He showed her a white shirt.

Aeri shook her head again.

They continued to search through the department store until they both lifted up the same black sweatshirt with purple details down the sleeve.

“Let’s get this one!” They said in unison.

“Let’s wear them.”

“Now?”

Aeri nodded.

After Hoya stepped out of the change room with the sweater on, a smile grew on Aeri’s face.

“Now everyone will know you’re mine.” She linked arms with him.

“So, where next Miss Kim?”

“I actually have to go to the washroom first. Why don’t you meet me in the café over there?”

“I’ll come with you.”

“No, I’ll be quick.” She hurried off.

Hoya found a seat in the café but he couldn’t stop worrying. He got out and peeked his head out the entrance, waiting for Aeri to appear.

He checked the time and what felt like 20 minutes, was in reality only 5.

The moment he stepped out the café, Aeri walked in.

“Where are you going?” She asked.

“I thought you got lost.” He lied.

“I’ve only been gone for about 5 minutes.” She laughed.

“Still, that’s a long time.”

“You’re just overreacting. I promise you. We’re safe here. Nothing will happen. Just trust me, okay?” She looked held his hand.

“Okay.”

“Now, what should we have?” Aeri looked at the menu then around the café to see what other people were having.
