ONEW’S POV

Nothing worked. Those pretty girls there, even this beer or even some sports talk. NOTHING WORKED. I am still distracted by her. If I have counted all those boys trying to hit on her, that would probably every guy in the damn school. She’s the catch. The perfect three for a woman, every guy’s fantasy… the deadly smart, funny, beautiful. No one can resist that combination even me.

She went to my direction just to glare at me, like I would be angry. She was just too cute. Then a cough startled me from my splitting smile

“You know, you will split your face in half with that ugly smile”

“Crazy girl, you are always killing my mood”

“Whatever Onew. You don’t want anyone to know you are secretly falling in love with your best friend’s sister but it is written all over your face…drink your beer, she’s coming!” she whispered but I did as she told me

“Hey, I have been looking for you” she said to crazy girl

“I have been hanging out with friendly people…and Onew”

“So I am not friendly to you, crazy girl?”

“Nope”

“ouch. You hurt me” I pretended to be hurt and placed a fist over my heart. Joy laughed and hit me on my arm. What is wrong with her suddenly flirting with me? I looked at her, confused, but she just winks at me

“Excuse us for a second” Sara pulled me and I wondered what’s happening. The next thing I know we were in her bedroom

“You know you should lock your room, some guys will sneak in here and have in your bed”

“Shut up Onew!”

“What did I do this time, why are you so angry?”

“Because you are such a flirt! I hate you!”

“What?” She’s jealous…completely jealous at me talking to other girls, me flirting with her friend and that was what Crazy girl plotting when she came over. I should thank that girl for being a genius

“are you jealous, sweetheart?” I teased

“Like I would!” She’s starting to blush

“Then why are you so angry, it’s not like I am banned to flirt right? Or to date anyone or like go and have dinner or coffee with a chick”

“You are such an idiot and your arrogance is so damn annoying! I am doing this for Joy, if you like her then don’t pursue other girls— “what is she thinking, that I like crazy girl? No way. I am not saying that she’s not attractive but I have my eyes on her…Only her.

“yeah, right? Why don’t you just admit…” I stepped closer to her until she leaned against the wall and me caging her “that you’re jealous because you don’t want me seeing other girls besides you? it’s written all over your face, sweetheart. You can’t fool me”

“Onew, stop it”

“Or what? We might end up kissing here? Believe me, I wanted that for so long, if you were mine, I would never ever let you go out there and mingle with this mini skirt of yours. I would just lock you up here and kiss you all night baby,”

She was breathing hard when I pulled away. Her face is flushed, and her lips parted inviting me to have a taste of her but no. I won’t. I won’t because I made a damn pact with Minho when we were teens. And I regret that every single day

I went back downstairs and saw Minho partying like a crazy bastard. He is just so happy today, like who wouldn’t? they just won because of him. I went outside to have another stick of cigarette when Minho went beside me and snatched it and stepped on it

“Stop smoking”

“Quit smoking Onew, not good for you especially now that you are the captain of the baseball team”
