When Lay woke up, he honestly thought yesterday's events were just a dream, but when he woke up and didn't feel anyone groping his body, he realized that yesterday was very much real. Sitting up and looking around the room he was in, he wanted to cry tears of joy again.
It was true, he, along with Luhan, were really free. And soon, the rest of his friends would be too.
Lay hopped off of the bed, a bright smile on his face despite the fact that it was morning. Lay, unlike most people, was a morning person, always waking up with a bright smile on his handsome face.
He felt like he was back to normal again. As if his punishment had never happened to him in the past millennia. Ruffling his wild hair, he got ready for the day. After smoothing down his wrinkled clothes, he exited the bedroom.
Ding dong~
He stopped walking towards Lacey's room. Turning his head to the staircase, he craned his neck to try and hear the familiar noise again.
Ding dong~
Oh. They must be the movers. Lay thought. He frowned at Lacey's door, feeling conflicted. Should he wake her up and inform her of their arrival or should he just let her sleep and handle them by himself?
Lacey really needs her sleep. He decided, smiling at the end. So he walked down the stairs, heading for the first floor.
Bang, bang, bang.
When Lay reached the bottom floor, he saw the front door shake as someone banged on it. He frowned, thinking How rude, they could wake Lacey or Luhan up with the ruckus they're causing.
Opening the door wide, he greeted the people outside with his dimpled smile.
"Good morning—" He started, but a wave of smoke hit his face. Swatting the polluted air in front of him, he blinked at the man in front of him.
"Yeah hi, so where do you want the couch?" The uniformed man asked, motioning to the white leather couch behind him. There were four guys heaving it up in the air.
These humans are very rude. Why can't they be like Lacey?
"Oh... Um, you can put it there." He said, pointing at a random spot on the floor. He moved out of the way as the men carrying the couch walked passed him without even giving him an 'excuse me'.
As more uniformed men entered the house the one who smoked a joint at his face, asked him, "Where do you want the coffee table?"
When Luhan woke up, he woke up to the sound of heavy footsteps outside of his room, he was wide awake and alert. Only one thing ran through his mind, Lacey! Jumping out of bed, he sprinted towards the door and swung it open.
"Who the hell are you people?!" He growled. Two men had just finished setting down a wall table while one man was pinning a painting on the wall. The three of the men looked at him with furrowed brows.
"We're the movers..." A tall African American man huffed, annoyed by Luhan already.
Luhan blinked, They're here so early in the day? Just how much sleep had Lacey gotten?
Unable to take the awkward silence any longer, the three uniformed men walked past the thinking boy and headed down the stairs. After they left, the door to Lacey's bedroom opened and she appeared.
"What- Lacey? Did you just wake up?" Luhan asked.
The poor girl's hair was a rat's nest. She nodded furiously, "It's already twelve o'clock, the movers could be here at any minute—"
"—They're already here..." Luhan told her. How did the movers get inside if Lacey was asleep the whole time? Finally realizing the answer, he looked over to Lay's door.
"Oh my god," Lacey muttered, also realizing it. She ran down the stairs with Luhan following after her. The two of them had to squeeze past men who were carrying more furniture up the stairs. The second floor was already furnished and so was the third floor.
"Where do you want this?" They saw a man ask Lay. It was a large box that Lacey recognized as the box where her parents' clothes contained.
Before Lay could answer, Lacey told the man, "That goes to the third floor in the room at the end of the hallway. It's the masters bedroom." He nodded and left.
"Lay how long have they been here?" She asked the taller man.
"Ah..." He though a while. "Hm, I think for three hours?"
Her eyes bugged out, "Three hours?"
He nodded, smiling at her. "Yes, I think so. Lacey, do you think I've done a good job of placing the furniture?" He asked her, biting his lip nervously as he did so.
Honestly, Lay had done a good job so far. The paintings and pictures were on perfect spots on the wall and she could see that the living room was good too. The TV was even placed there. Lay probably didn't know what television was, but the movers might've placed it there anyways.
"It's great actually, my parents would love—" She froze in mid-sentence.
Her parents.
Oh .
"Are you alright?" Luhan asked, at her side in an instant.
"My parents are coming back in three weeks." She stated, looking at them in shock.
"Yes, I know. Why? Is there a problem?" Luhan asked worriedly, he didn't like the horrified look on her face.
"How am I going to explain to them about you guys? They'll freak if I tell them about our situation. Hell, mom might even call the cops on you and they'll take you away!"
None of the boys knew what the 'cops' were, but whatever it was had caused their savior to be panicked about them. Luhan frowned at the thought of being taken away. If that was to happen then who would protect Lacey? She would be completely vulnerable to the witches and it'd be a challenge for her to find the rest of the prisoners.
"You can tell them that we're your neighbors?" He suggest
