Lacey was happy that Baekhyun's back was now stitched by a professional. He felt pain from time to time, but it wasn't something he couldn't handle. His back was still facing the ceiling, the injuries exposed for everyone to see, but it was no longer gruesome looking.
And much to her relief, someone had brought the blanket up to cover his bare bottom.
"So it's explaining time," Luhan announced, sending a knowing look towards Lay and Tao, then quickly glancing over to Lacey. The both of them turned red, knowing what was to come.
"So Baekhyun..." Luhan started gently. "We are no longer in Exo."
"Good." Came the automatic reply.
Everyone blinked their eyes once, confused on what he had just said. The typical reaction was shock and some slight homesickness, but Baekhyun wasn't even fazed.
"...Anyways," Luhan continued awkwardly. "The witch who did this to us, is long gone and now its her descendents, yes more than one, that are after us. They want to kill Lacey too, but the odd thing is that they haven't come here themselves to get the job done."
"And," Tao interjected. He added his own findings, "There might be a few boundaries of how far their powers can go. Lacey's been out of the house before, but nothing happens to her, right?"
Lacey nodded her head, He's right... Those witches would've made me get into a car crash or something. "There's also a shed at the back of the house which all of us will have to use once Lacey's parents come back home. And as you've told us before, Jongin can secretly watch over her in the house." Tao continued. "Jongin?" Lacey said. "He's one of the prisoners. He has power over the darkness and can teleport. He can hide himself in the shadows as he watches over you, your parents won't notice him at all." Tao explained. "And another thing, Lacey's human." It was as if Lay's statement had caused something to burst within Baekhyun. His brown eyes bugged out, almost falling out of his eye sockets, he tried to push himself up with his arms, but failed at doing so. "You're a human?!" He shrieked. "Oh goodness gracious, I thought your kind was extinct! Oh Lacey you have no idea how happy I am to meet you! Oh my gosh, my savior's a human!" Lacey made a look of surprise as Baekhyun had his fan-girl moment. Then she remembered what he had said. "Wait, I'm sorry did you just say humans were extinct?" "Uh, well, yes." Tao said. "There was a book about humans, saying that humans once roamed the world of Exo at the very beginning of time, but then they became extinct afterwards. My father told me about them because well, he's Father Time—" "—Okay, that's enough now." Luhan said, interrupting Tao before he could boast yet again. Turning back to the still squealing Baekhyun, he said, "I bet you'll be happy to know that you're in Earth, a world full of humans." Baekhyun paused for a moment in mid-squeal, he tried to stare at everyone with his awestruck expression, but it was quite hard to do so in the position he was in. "I'm in a world of humans?" Lacey nodded, "Yup. Everyone's human." Baekhyun gaped in amazement. "So, moving on to more important matters, we need to help Lacey find the rest of our friends and free them. Then we find our way back home—" "—No." The once giddy Baekhyun became stone cold. They didn't need to see his face to know that he wore a hard expression on his face. "Baekhyun we have to go—" He interrupted again, "—I said no. Sure I'll help you find the rest, heck I'll even help you guys find the way back to Exo, but Exo is not my home and I am never going back there." He said through gritted teeth. Lacey didn't know what to say. She was definitely not expecting such a major mood swing from him. He was so happy just a minute ago! And now? Now he looked like he was ready to jump off a building just to get away from all of this. "Baekhyun..." Lay started gently. "Alright." Lacey said suddenly Everyone looked at her with puzzled looks which she ignored. "I won't force you back there since something ter
