"There are hickies all over him," Lacey whispered to Luhan. After Luhan used his mind to move the unconscious boy to Lacey's room (because it was the least dustiest), they had been watching over him, waiting for him to wake up. Lay was covered head to toe in sweat and hickies, there were even bind marks around his ankles and wrists. Thinking about whatever happened to him while he was trapped caused Lacey to shudder. It was obvious to her what had happened.
"Unicorns are pure animals. Innocent and kind. I'm guessing his punishment was something very… impure. I'm pshycic, meaning my powers have something do with me using my mind. So my punishment was a raging headache." Luhan informed her.
Lacey bit her lip. Having to live with a headache for thousands of years? She's had countless amounts of headaches before but they only lasted a day or less. She couldn't imagine trying to endure one for millennia. As for Lay? She already knew what that impure punishment was.
That witch certainly did want them to suffer, but what Lacey wanted to know was why? What had they done? Did they commit a terrible crime? Looking back at Lay, she mentally shook her head at the thought. It couldn't be, like what Luhan said, Lay was a unicorn and they were innocent animals.
So why punish someone innocent?
"He's waking up," Snapping her head up at the sound of Luhan's voice, she looked back Lay. His eyes were fluttering, struggling to open. As he tried to gain consciousness, Lacey took this as her chance to inspect him.
He was definitely Asian, fair skinned like Luhan, brown hair matted with sweat, and innocent brown eyes. When they finally opened, Lacey could see the trepidation and anxiety in the poor guy's eyes. Too much had happened to him in the many years he was trapped.
The first thing he did was let out a shaky breath. Eyes locking with Luhan's, he felt his eyes light up with recognition. Then they maneuvered over to Lacey. Although he knew Lacey was his savior, he couldn't help but shiver in fear from seeing another girl. Throughout the millennia, his punishment was to be ravished by faceless females. He could remember it all, the wicked giggling, the nails running down his back and chest, the greedy hands...
"My name's Lacey." She said with an accent. "You're free now. You're going to be okay." Although he could detect the nervousness in her voice, her soothing words swayed him. Looking around the room, he didn't see black, he didn't see chains or rope, he was out of his cage.
Lacey wasn't sure if she said the right things because right after she finished her sentence, Lay's innocent brown eyes started to water. Uh oh. Straightening up, she watched with wide eyes as Lay began to sob. Did I say something wrong? Please let these be tears of happiness!
Much to her relief, they were. With a choked up voice, he said gratefully, "Tha-thank you! Thank you, thank you!" It was a never ending mantra, him always repeating those words. Sitting up, he wiped his eyes and sniffled, still repeating those words.
"My name is Yixing. Zhang Yixing." He said, his lips quivering, but he was no longer sobbing. "But you can call me Lay."
"Well Lay... There's a few things I have to explain to you." Lacey gulped.
"But first, I need you to heal our savior." Luhan said, gingerly holding out Lacey's blood caked hands in front of the unicorn.
Lay bobbed his head, "Of course, I will do anything for you, Lacey." The teen could feel her cheeks heat up at his declaration of devotion. Well he definitely is grateful... His hands outsretched for hers and she was able to see his unicorn symbol tattooed in the palm of his right hand.
A green glow emitted from both of his hands, out of instinct she jumped and pulled her hands back, but Luhan held her hands firmly. "Don't worry, he's healing you." He assured her.
Lacey nodded her head in understanding, watching in awe as the cuts on her skin sealed itself in a slow manner. The glow disappeared after a few seconds. All her cuts were gone and her hands looked as good as new. Lay leaned back against the headboard and sighed, a small smile on his face. "It's been so long since I used my powers..."
Luhan cleared his throat, "So um, there's something really important that you need to know..." He trailed off, sending Lacey glances at the corner of his eyes.
Lay looked expectantly at them.
Lacey gulped audibly. Must get this over with… "Lay, you're no longer in Exo."
Lay only furrowed his brows in confusion. "I'm not—what? What do you mean?" He leaned closer.
Again, she gulped. "The witch sent you all to Earth. A world of humans. I'm... I'm human."
Lay only stared at her in shock. Blinking in disbelief, he turned his head to face Luhan. Then back at Lacey. Doing the same thing Luhan did, he cr
