"Oh yeah!" Jongdae suddenly exclaimed. Everyone stopped eating and turned to look at him expectantly. "Lacey, the shed needs cleaning." He reminded her.
"Kim Jongdae," Jongdae visibly winced at Suho's scolding tone. "What is Lacey to you? A maid? No, she is our savior, don't treat her so ungratefully!" The older man was appalled by the younger's behavior towards her.
"Oh no, no, Suho, it's fine. I told him to remind me. Anyways," She stood up from her seat in the dining table and placed her plate in the sink. "Since I finished first, I'm going to clean out the shed. You guys stay here, and yes I will be fine." She assured them before running out of the house.
"Aish," Suho shook his head. "Parents leave her alone when she's only seventeen and she's leaving the house by herself too? Humans need better parenting."
"It's safer outside though," Tao defended. "There's a two foot radius barrier surrounding the house that prevents the witch's from attacking her. Their powers are basically useless outside."
"Plus the house is very far from other neighborhoods, so she'll be safe from not-so-nice humans too." Baekhyun added.
"But still, she wouldn't be able to socialize that easily since no one's close by." Lay said.
"Doesn't matter, she has us." Luhan stated, shoving a spoon of cereal and milk in his mouth.
"We're more entertaining than humans anyways!" Tao agreed.
"But still," Suho pressed on. "It is very unsafe to leave their daughter, their seventeen year old daughter home alone and for three weeks too!"
Luhan simply shrugged, "Well you're right, but that's how it is in our world. When I told her the same thing she acted very nonchalant. Maybe this kind of thing is normal for Earth."
Suho could only shake his head in disappointment, muttering lowly about 'irresponsibilities' and 'stranger danger'.
As the six boys chowed down on their delicious Earth food the heard the sound of something sliding across a surface.
Lacey sized up the red shed (imagine the roof as black) in front of her, trying to visualize twelve people living inside of it. She walked around the small building for a bit and finally came to a conclusion. "I think it could work."
Satisfied with its size, she entered the shed and was very relieved to see that it wasn't that dusty. It was enough for her swiffer duster to handle thankfully. It was spacious too, there were no random columns standing in the middle of the room that could disturb that wide space. Although there were windows those could easily be covered by a curtain.
There was nothing on the floor, but the walls were nearly covered with tools and is that a chainsaw I see? Oh god no, I need to get rid of that... Lacey didn't want to think about what could happen if any of those freed man stumble upon the chainsaw and get curious about what it was.
Curiosity killed the cat... She thought to herself.
The things attached to the walls were just the normal tools, most looked old and her father would probably get rid of them anyways.
Quickly, she went to work, trying her best to sweep everything up. She used the Lysol wipes to wipe down the dirty windows until she could actually see something through it. She didn't bother to touch the tools since they would be gone.
As she passed by the chainsaw, she became slightly worried. She backtracked and gave the dangerous tool her full attention. What if this was a cage? Now she definitely needed to go through all these tools to check.
But how could they be a cage? They were out of the witch's territory and Lacey was pretty sure that those witch es didn't want any of their prisoners out of their sight, out of their clutches. T
