Just in case you guys were wondering, I took out the rated M, because it'll be a little further into the story where there'll actually be explicit content (for example, ). For now there's only curse words, blood-ish, and not much gore.
Eyes widening, she wanted to step back from him, but was reminded by his hold on her shoulders. "You're not human?" Her voice came out squeaky.
"No..." He trailed off, giving her a weird look. Then realization finally dawned on him. Staring at her in shock he asked her, "You're human?"
Slowly, she nodded her head, not sure whether or not telling him the truth was a good idea. If he wasn't human then what exactly was he?
"Amazing..." He whispered, staring at her in awe. Much to her surprise, he cupped her face gently in his hands and brought it closer to his own face. He stared deeply into her eyes before inspecting everything else. "I can't believe you're a human."
Yeah well I can't believe how deep I am in right now. She thought dreadfully.
When he finally finished staring at her, he released her face. "If you're not a human, then what are you?" She asked, voicing hew thoughts.
"Psychic, a telekinetic one." He answered automatically.
She stammered, "A psychic?"
"Ye—" He froze in mid sentence. He kept staring at something behind her. Following his gaze, she turned around. There, on the edge of her broken mirror was yet another note tucked in. When she touched it, it suddenly felt boiling hot. Letting out a yelp of pain, she let it flutter to the floor.
"Lacey!" Luhan jumped, grabbing her by the shoulders from behind and pulling her behind him.
"Are you alright?" He asked her, not tearing his gaze away from deadly note.
When Lacey looked at her hand, she saw that the paper had seriously burnt her. Her thumb and pointer finger was a searing red, blood oozing out of the burn wound. Not only that, the boiling hot paper had caused her cuts to worsen even more.
"Sort of..." She answered him.
She looked back at the lethal piece of paper. It started to float upwards, causing her to stiffen in fear.
"Don't worry," She heard Luhan say soothingly. "I'm telekinetic, remember? I'm using my powers so none of us need to touch the accursed thing."
Using his power, he unfolded the paper with his mind. There, with dark red ink was a message written just for her in a messier scrawl, it was different from the fancy cursive she was used to seeing on the notes.
You should've listened. Great job, idiot human. You just killed yourself.
She could still see her bloodied fingerprints on the corners of the paper. Feeling herself shiver from fear, she watched uneasily as the paper was crumpled into a tiny ball. One of the windows was snapped open and the paper was launched into the sky. The window snapped back closed with a loud thud noise.
Luhan turned back to her, a furious, but slightly fearful expression on his handsome face. He looked at Lacey and gave her a comforting smile, "Don't worry," he assured her. "I'll protect you, I won't let that evil woman hurt you."
"She really doesn't want you guys freed..." Lacey said. Just what had they done?
"...I know." Stepping forward, he grabbed her injured hand gently. "Do you have any medicine? Is there a healer anywhere nearby?"
Lacey shook her head. "I just moved in this house yesterday. Movers are going to be here tomorrow so there won't be a first aid kit until they get here. And I can't really afford for a doctor or 'healer' right now..."
Luhan frowned worriedly. "Where are your parents? A maiden as young as you really shouldn't be living alone."
"My parents are out in Greece for their honeymoon. They'll be gone for three weeks." She explained.
Although Luhan could barely understand those unfamiliar words, he knew what 'gone for three weeks' meant. "They're left you here by yourself? For three weeks? That's absurd and completely dangerous!"
"I'm seventeen." She said, rolling her eyes a bit.
"That's even worse. You're too young. You could be attacked by vampires or-"
"Luhan there's no vampires here. The people here on Earth are human. 100%."
"Oh..." Luhan's face fell, remembering that he was no longer in his world. A world of humans. That's kind of interesting.
When he felt liquid touch his skin, he looked back down to see that her wound was bleeding more profusely now. Mentally cursing himself, he released her hand. "Lacey, are there any towels here that I could use to slow down the bleeding?"
She shook her head, "All the towels are with the movers..."
"And they won't be here until tomorrow." He finished, muttering a flurry of curses under his breath. Where's Lay when you need him?!
"We need to find Lay." Luhan stated.
"You want crisps—I mean, chips?"
"What? No, he's a friend of mine. He's a unicorn so he could heal you. Come on, we need to find him quickly before you bleed out." He took a hold of her good hand and quickly started to walk towards the door.
Rattle, rattle, rattle.
"What...?" Luhan mumbled, twisting the doorknob. The door wouldn't budge...
A cold, chilling feeling seeped into Lacey's bones. She started to hold Luhan's hand tighter, not feeling so good about the situation they were in. Something's not right here...
"It's okay, Lacey." Luhan assured her. "The witch is in Exo. She's weak when using her powers in a world where she isn't at."
Lacey wasn't so sure on what Lu
