SECOND UPDATE
"Never ignore a person who loves you,
cares for you,
and misses you because one day,
you might wake up and realize,
you lost the moon while counting the stars."
Lacey leaned against the doorless doorway, staring at Sehun in concern. It was breakfast time and the young boy hadn't stopped silently crying onto the pillow of the couch. At the start of breakfast, Luhan had entered the dining room with a grim look on his face.
He had told them that Sehun was not in the mood to eat.
And he was right, Sehun really wasn't in any mood to eat. The young blonde man clutched the pillow closely to his face, heavily staining it with his waterfall of tears. She wondered if he was like this because the punishment had mentally scarred him, or if it was because he was a long way home.
Maybe it was both.
Although Luhan couldn't explain to him about their current situation, Sehun must've realized that things were different. He might have realized that he was in a different world. Maybe that's why he was like this. He was homesick, that's it right?
Lacey felt her stomach start to grumble in complaint. She ignored it, paying more attention to the sobbing boy in her entrance room.
She watched uselessly as he sobbed and sobbed his little eyes out, unable to speak a word since he would be incoherent either way. His sobs were muffled by the pillow smushing his face which caused Lacey to worry about him suffocating. His shoulders shook so much that made her think that he was really depressed.
But what frustrated her was that she didn't know why! No one knew why because he wouldn't speak a word to anyone, not even to Luhan who was his closest friend.
She took one step to into the entrance room and accidentally let out a gasp when a gush of wind hit her. Sehun lifted his head from the pillows. Pang went her heart when she saw how bad his condition was. Bloodshot eyes, cheeks tainted with layers of tears, and lips quivering was how he looked.
He just looked at her, sniffling a bit, and she stared back. Then he completely crumbled again and rammed his face back into the pillow, resuming to his sobbing.
Lacey pursed her lips and stared at him with utmost pity. What happened to him?
Slowly, she walked over to him, not wanting to startle him. As she got closer she realized that the wind swooshing around was being caused by him and his turmoil of emotions. So he has some power over the wind.
But that wasn't really important to her right now. What was important to her was comforting the crying boy in front of her. Cautiously, she went on her knees to face him better.
"Sehun?" She whispered quietly.
As if he couldn't hear her, he continued crying. She wasn't sure if he couldn't hear her through his loud weeps or if he was actually ignoring her, but she hoped it wasn't the latter. She didn't like being ignored. She whispered louder, "Sehun?"
Finally, she caught his attention. He looked up and faced her, eyes still b in tears. She grabbed the packet of kleenex tissues from his pocket and handed them to him.
He stared at them, then at her. He stared back and forth between the tissues held out for him and the red haired girl who was giving it to him. "It's just tissues. It's for wiping your tears and to blow your nose in." She explained rather nervously. Do they have tissues in their world?
Eyeing the peculiar packet, he sniffed and reached out for it. Taking it gingerly from her hands he took out a tissue and blew into it.
Very loudly.
Taking another one, he wiped his eyes furiously. Then he took a few more and blew his nose again.
And then he made the wind blow the used tissues away from him and let it fall onto the floor. Although it was very rude (and unsanitary!) for him to do so, Lacey didn't say much and made a tight smile.
"Are you okay now?" She asked.
"No." He answered.
"You want to talk about it?" She asked.
"No." He said, using the same monosyllable answer.
Lacey really didn't know how to comfort people. She really didn't. She was only good for giving out tissues and asking if they wanted to talk about their feelings. She was the type of person to listen and maybe give out her own output if it was needed. Giving people comforting words wasn't her forte.
And that's what Lacey dislikes about herself.
She wanted to comfort Sehun, she really did, but she couldn't. She couldn't tell him that everything was fine, because it really wasn't. They only had four days left to find the remaining three, not only that, she had to hide all twelve of them from her parents and find a way to send them back to their world.
And while doing that, she would have to keep safe from a bunch of witches and a few ghosts too.
She couldn't lie to Sehun, not when he was like this. So, instead of trying to sugarcoat everything, she decided to tell him the painful truth.
"I'm not going to lie to you, Sehun." Once she started talking, he looked up at her to show that he was paying attention. "Everything is not fine. We're in a bit of deep right now and there's a few things you need to know. You're not in Exo, you're on Earth, a world of humans. I am human. And we only have four days left to find the rest of your friends or else my parents might get rid of them unknowingly. Kang Jihee is long gone, but her descendents aren't."
She saw Sehun's jaw clench at the mention of the wicked witch's name.
"It's not safe in this house, but that's okay because soon you and your friends can live in the shed at the back of my house. The witches can't do anything to you there. All I can guarantee is that I will find the rest of your friends and I will bring you back home." Suddenly, he asked, "...But what if I don't want to go back home?" She stared at him sympathetically. This was just like with Baekhyun, him not wanting to go bac
