The two simultaneous bangs echoed throughout the entire property. The boys inside the house stopped eating their dinner when they heard it. They looked towards the window that Sehun opened and saw nothing.
But still, they were worried and alarmed now. So, quickly, they wasted not a second later to sprint out of the house. Even Yifan's face had turned serious at the peculiar sound from outside the house.
Sehun had stopped running and completely froze at the sound. He heard the two bangs, followed by the gushing of liquid that he hoped to the gods wasn't blood, and heard thuds that he pleaded wasn't a body hitting the ground. Shaking himself out of shock, he resumed running faster then ever.
"LAY! LAY!" He heard a familiar male's voice cry out in panic. Not stopping, he ran faster. The trepidation in the man's voice was very evident and it told Sehun that something bad had happened and he had a feeling that it had something to do with Lacey.
No, no, no...
He could hear two faint heartbeats. One had abruptly stopped beating while the other one was still beating, albeit weakly, but still going on. He hoped to all the gods in all the world's that it was Lacey's heart that was still beating.
Swatting away the long grass he finally found the terrifying sight. There was blood, literally everywhere. It splattered on the ground, on the grass, and it was all over two bodies—no, one body, and one still living girl.
Lacey!
Shooting forward, he ran to her side and fell to his knees. Her eyes were closed, but they were tightly shut by herself. Her breathing was short and choppy and there was so much leaking from her left shoulder. What the hell had happened?!
"Jongin, what happened to her?!" He looked over to the male on the other side of her.
He looked at him with wild eyes, "I don't know, she used me to kill that guy, but he had something like my cage too and it hit her—I don't know okay! I'm just as confused as you are! I just know that those things," he pointed an accusing finger at a black object that laid uselessly next to dead man's body. "are dangerous!"
Jongin looked back towards the direction of the house and screamed at the top of his lungs, "LAY!"
Finally, after what seemed like forever, they all arrived at the bloody scene. Lay gasped out in horror and ran to her side in an instant.
"Oh Lacey…" he whispered.
"J-J-Just do something! I don't know what happened!" Jongin repeated.
Lay nodded and went to work immediately. He pulled the sleeve of her shirt down so they could all see the bleeding wound clearly. His hands glowed the comforting green color and he placed it above the bullet wound. It stayed there for a few seconds, then two minutes had passed.
Nothing was happening.
Lay's hands shook in fear, "It's… not healing…"
Tao let out a choked sob, "No!" He cried out. "You-you gotta try harder!" He was already a crying mess. He fell to his knees beside Lay and begged, "Do it again!"
And he did, but no matter how hard Lay tried the wound wouldn't heal itself, it would just bleed out more.
"What the hell did that to her?!" Jongdae stumbled forward, staring in disbelief at the scene. Their savior was dying and they didn't know why or how to stop it.
Jongin pointed towards the dead body of the man, "He did something, but I don't know what!"
Lay sniffed and tried to fight back tears as his hands shook above her bleeding wound. He could feel little speckles of blood shoot out from her wound and onto the palms of his hand.
"No…" Luhan mumbled under his breath. "You can't be dying, no—it's just—no!"
