*Loud music*

 

“What am I even doing here?” The doe eyes girl asked herself as she walking through the crowd trying to find her friend. “Choi Sooyoung jinja!” 

 

“Oh Yoona you’re here.” Sooyoung wave and ran to pull Yoona into a bear hug.

 

“Yah… it took me so long to finally get in here.”

 

“Ahh mian. You should have call me then I could go out and pick you up.”

 

“I called but you never pick up.” Yoona nagged at her friend for making her standing in the queue for an hour before she could get inside the club.

 

“Well the most important thing is that you are here. So come and enjoy the party, ok?”

 

“Alright.”

 

“Come, I will introduce you to my friends.” Sooyoung drag Yoona to the VIP booth and introduce her to all her friends.

 

Yoona politely said hi to everyone. She and Sooyoung work together in the Seoul National Library and they become close because they are both shikshin. Today is Sooyoung’s birthday, so she invite Yoona over to celebrate and knowing the nerd that Yoona is, she wants her to come out and socialise with other people.

 

Yoona didn’t really like the idea at first, but she didn’t want to offend her close friend plus it’s her birthday. So she came.

 

“Make yourself comfortable Yoona-ah. I’ll go get a drink for you.”

 

“Thank you Soo.” Yoona said and sit down at a corner of the booth. 

 

She looks around and saw that Sooyoung’s friends are having fun. They all seems close to each other. Yoona remember that Sooyoung always told her that she had 7 best friends in high school. Yoona wasn’t surprise. Sooyoung is a social butterfly. She easily get close to people, but having 7 best friends is really something. Yoona couldn’t even find herself someone she could call best friend, but Sooyoung have 7. 

 

“It’s a bit noisy, isn’t it?” A girl said as she sat down on the empty space beside her. 

 

Yoona could easily remember her name because out of all Sooyoung’s friend, this girl seems to be the most attractive one.

 

“Nae.” Yoona shyly said.

 

“Let me take you somewhere quiet.” The girl lean closer and whisper making Yoona froze in her place. She didn’t wait for Yoona’s respond. She just took Yoona’s hand and drag her away from that booth. No one really notice them since they were all busy dancing.

 

Sooyoung came back only to find Yoona is no longer there.

 

“Hey! Anyone see Yoona?” Sooyoung asked her friends.

 

“I saw her talking to Yuri there a while ago. Maybe she left with her.” Hyoyeon said and drink her beer.

 

“Yuri? Kwon Yuri?” Sooyoung’s eyes popped open wide. 

 

“Yah.. How many Yuri do you know Choi Sooyoung?” Hyoyeon asked.

 

“Yah!!! How could you let Yuri take her away?”

 

“What? She’s old enough to do whatever she wants.”

 

“But she doesn’t know what she got herself into when she let Kwon Yuri take her away. Don’t you know Kwon Yul?”

 

“Come on Soo, just let Yuri help your uptight friend. She looks like she need to get laid. Our friend Yul is just trying to help.” 

 

“Shut up Hyo! Yoona is a good girl. She doesn’t deserve to be one of Kwon Yuri’s toy.” Sooyoung said and by the tone of her voice, Hyoyeon knows that she should stop joking around.

 

“They might be at the parking lot. You should run.” Hyoyeon pat Sooyoung’s shoulder before getting back to the dance’s floor with her friends.

Outside the club:

 

Yuri took Yoona to a small alley to get away from all the noise. She let go of Yoona’s hand and smile at her. Yoona couldn’t help but find her smile mesmerising. 

 

“Feel better now?” Yuri asked.

 

“Nae.” 

 

“You don’t talk much, do you?” Yuri asked and chuckled making Yoona blushed.

 

Yoona didn’t respond, so Yuri took a step closer and trapped the girl in between her arms.

 

“Have anyone told you how beautiful you are Yoona-shi?”

 

“Nae?” Yoona asked confused to where this might lead.

 

She has a lot of guys chasing her ever since high school, but having a girl flirting and being this bold toward her, this is the first. Yoona didn’t know how to react.

 

Yuri slowly lean closer and Yoona knows that Yuri is going to kiss her, but instead of pushing Yuri away, she close just close her eyes. When their nose touched, Yoona feel like her heart is about to explode. She could feel Yuri’s breath on her lips. 

 

Sooyoung ran as fast as she could. Once she’s outside, she found Yoona and Yuri in a small alley near the club.

 

“Yah Kwon Yuri!!!” Sooyoung push Yuri away from Yoona bringing Yoona back to her sense. “What are you doing?” Sooyoung asked and she sound angry.

 

Yuri laugh at her best friend’s behaviour. She was surprise at how protective Sooyoung is toward Yoona, because normally Sooyoung never care about who she’s playing with.

 

“Yoona-shi seems uncomfortable with all the noise inside, so I took her out to get some air. Why are you so work up anyway?” Yuri asked and Sooyoung drag her away from Yoona.

 

“Yah! She’s not some girl you just pick up from a bar and sleep with. She’s my good friend. I care a lot about her, so if you’re planning to play with her, I suggest you forget about that.”

 

“Is she your girlfriend?”

 

“Ani.”

 

“Are you in love with her?”

 

“Ani. You knows I’m in love with Sica.”

 

“Then let me have her.” 

 

“No! Keep your paws to yourself or find some other girls Yul. Yoona is off limit.” Sooyoung turn serious and Yuri finally give in, didn’t want to upset her best friend on her birthday.

 

“Alright Fine!”

 

“Good girl.”

 

“I’m going back inside.” Yuri said and walk back to the club but before she go back, she wink at Yoona who’s still confuse by what just happen. “I’ll see you around Yoona-shi.” Yuri said and left.

 

“Are you ok?” Sooyoung asked.

 

“Yeah. I’m fine.”

 

“Don’t mind Yuri. She just like to play around.”

 

“Ah I see.”

 

“I’m sorry if my friend make you feel uncomfortable.”

 

“Aniya. I think Yuri-shi is just trying to be nice.”

 

“Yeah she’s a playful kid. She likes to joke around, but sometimes she just go too far. Yuri is a player, if you are not careful, you can easily falling for her charm Yoona-ah.”

 

“Don’t worry Sooyoung-ah. You know I’m not like that.”

 

“I know, but I witness how she turn straight girl gay so many times, so I just want you to be careful. Don’t fall for her charm. I don’t want you to get hurt.”

 

“Thank you Soo. Umm I’m sorry, but I don’t think I should stay. Enjoy your time with your friends. I’ll see you at the library tomorrow.” Yoona didn’t want to make thing more awkward, so she decide to leave, plus clubbing is really not her thing.

 

“Ok Yoona-ah. See you tomorrow.” Sooyoung too didn’t want to make Yoona more uncomfortable and she doesn’t trust that Yuri would leave Yoona alone. 

 

It comes as a surprise to Sooyoung that Yoona even caught Yuri’s attention. Yuri don’t normally go for the type of innocent girl. She mostly only hit on hot and y girl. She didn’t know what got into Yuri tonight.

 

She get back inside to find her friends. Yuri is being her crazy self and start dancing around and having fun with her best friend. Sooyoung smile and join them.

 

At the end of the party, all her friend decide to just sleep over at Sooyoung’s place that night.

 

Everyone was fast asleep. They all sleeping in the living room. Only the ice princess get to sleep on Sooyoung’s bed. 

 

Sooyoung was thirsty, so she came out to get some water. Then she saw that the balcony’s door is slightly open. Sooyoung went and found Yuri sitting there smoking.

 

“Yah Kwon Yuri! Aren’t you going to sleep?”

 

“I’m not sleepy. What about you?”

 

“I just come out to get water.”

 

“I’m sorry.”

 

“Wae?”

 

“About earlier. For making your friend leave the party.”

 

“It’s fine. She doesn’t like this kind of place anyway.” 

 

“The club doesn’t suit her.” Yuri surprise Sooyoung with her comment. These kind of words doesn’t suit Kwon Yuri.

 

“To be honest, I’m surprise that you came here with us tonight. I thought you would end up in a hotel with some girl.”

 

“It’s your birthday, so I make an exception.” Yuri said making Sooyoung chuckle. That’s Yuri’s way of telling Sooyoung that her friends are more important than a one night stand.

 

“Thank you.” Sooyoung sit down next to Yuri and look at the sky.

 

Yuri hand her the cigarette, but Sooyoung shake her head.

 

“I’m not smoking anymore.”

 

“Oh right! Sica hates it when you smoke.”

 

“You should quit too.”

 

“I’m cutting down on it.” 

 

“Good.”

 

They become silent for a moment before Yuri start talking again.

 

“Im Yoona…”

 

“What about Yoona?”

 

“She works with you in the library?”

 

“Yeah.” Sooyoung said and Yuri starts chuckle. “Wae?”

 

“Library seems to fit her perfectly.” Yuri said making Sooyoung laugh.

 

“That’s true. That girl love to read so much. I bet she read almost all the book in the library.”

 

“Can I ask you something?”

 

“Sure!”

 

“Why are you being so protective of her?”

 

“I care about her like my own sister. I just don’t want her to get hurt.”

 

“What make you think that I would hurt her?”

 

“Are you seriously asking me that question?”

 

“Right. Haha.” Yuri laugh and Sooyoung laugh along with her.

 

“You seems to be curious about her huh? That’s so unlike you.”

 

“I know.”

 

“Let it go Yul. She’s not even your type.”

 

“If I said that she’s exactly my type, can I hit on her?”

 

“Yah stop joking around.” 

 

“You know, when you’re being like this it makes me so curious about her. I think you will see me around the library a lot from now on.” Yuri said and get up.

 

“What? Yah… Kwon Yuri she’s not into girl.”

 

“We’ll see.” Yuri winked and that wink make Sooyoung feel very uneasy. “Ahhhh I’m so sleepy. You should go back to sleep Soo. Good night.” Yuri run away before Sooyoung could nag at her.

 

“Aish…. Why she always behave like kid all the time? Jinja!”

One week later:

 

It’s been one week since Sooyoung talk to Yuri and since Yuri didn’t show up at her work place, Sooyoung feel reassure that the conversation they had that night was just a joke that Yuri made to bother her. 

 

She feels a little relieve that Yuri wasn’t serious about getting to know Yoona.

 

“Are you okay Soo? You seems uneasy.”

 

“Oh uhh I’m fine.”

 

“Did you meet Yuri-shi?”

 

“Yuri?”

 

“Yeah. I ran into her this morning. She said she was doing research on something.”

 

“Where is she?”

 

“I don’t know. Maybe she already left.” Yoona said and Sooyoung doesn’t believe that Kwon Yuri would leave like that.

 

She look around and it didn’t take long for her to find the culprit.

Yuri got caught and just wave at Sooyoung while smiling.

 

Sooyoung walk toward her and whisper.

 

“What are you doing here?”

 

“I told you. I want to know more about her.”

 

“Stop being childish and go home Yul.”

 

“I will go, if you promise to tell her more about her.”

 

“No. Stop with your game Yul. Go home. NOW!” Sooyoung said it a bit too loud making people around looking at her. “Sorry!” She turn to apologise, but the moment she turn back, Yuri is already left her seat and then she look around to find Yuri is already talking to Yoona.

 

“Kwon Yul!”

 

“Oh Soo, I was asking Yoona-shi if she wants to join us for lunch.”

 

“Lunch?” Sooyoung was dumbfounded. 

 

“Yeah. You always told me that the food in the cafeteria here is so good that you and Yoona-shi always eat here during lunch. You said I should try it out, remember?” Sooyoung didn’t remember saying that.

 

“That’s true. The food here is really good.” Yoona said happily. When it comes to food, Yoona would never say no. 

 

Sooyoung didn’t expect Yuri to know that Im Yoona is a food lover, but when it come to winning a girl’s heart, Kwon Yuri is a pro.

 

“It’s already lunch time, so let’s go.”

 

“Umm Soo are you ok with me joining you and Yuri-shi?” Yoona asked because Sooyoung seems to be confused.

 

“Oh yeah sure Yoona-ah.” Sooyoung said and glare at Yuri.

 

Yuri smirk and wink at Sooyoung before walking close to Yoona and start talking to the girl. 

 

Sooyoung who walk behind them could feel that this is out of her hand now. All she could do is hope that Yoona remember what she told her about Yuri and not getting herself in trouble. Sooyoung loves her best friend, but she also know her best friend too well.

2 weeks later: 

 

Kwon Yuri use the excuse of doing her research and come to the library almost everyday. The first few days, Sooyoung did try her best to protect Yoona, but she just can’t win over Yuri’s charm.

 

The truth is, Im Yoona might be a nerd, but she wasn’t stupid. What surprise her is that she thought Yuri would give up trying to flirt with her after a few days, since she clearly show the girl that she’s not interested in dating Yuri, but Kwon Yuri never cross the line (except for that first night they met). She’s been using Sooyoung as excuse to have lunch with Yoona everyday, but today Sooyoung took a day off for a family gathering, so Yoona didn’t expect to see Yuri at the library.

 

And Yuri really didn’t show up. Yoona didn’t know why she feel like this. It feels like she was missing the girl that she met every days for the past two week.

 

Since Sooyoung is not here, she will have to stay later than usual and finish up the work before closing the library. 

 

“She must be finished with her research by now.” Yoona talk to herself while putting the book back on the shelf.

 

“Are you talking to yourself Yoona-shi?” 

 

Yoona was shock and surprise making her lose balance and fell from the ladder of the bookshelf. Luckily Yuri was quick to catch her.

 

Yoona open her eyes only to find herself wrapping securely in Kwon Yuri’s embrace. She couldn’t help but blush madly. Yoona stand back up on her feet and avoid Yuri’s gaze.

 

“When did you get here?”

 

“Just now.” Yuri answer and start helping Yoona out.

 

“I thought you are not going to come here today.”

 

“I was helping a friend doing a photoshoot, that’s why I was late.”

 

“You are a photographer?”

 

“Aniya. I’m an investor. Photography is just a hobby.”

 

“Ah I see. It’s still cool to be able to take nice picture.”

 

“If you want, we could do a photoshoot for fun.”

 

“Who? Me?”

 

“Nae. It would be an honour to take your picture.”

 

“Wae?”

 

“Because you are pretty.” Yuri simply said it, but Yoona could feel her heart racing and she’s blushing madly at Yuri’s word.

 

Yuri see it, but she pretend not to notice. Yuri help Yoona until she finish and lock up the door together.

 

“You haven’t had dinner right?” Yuri asked.

 

“Umm not yet. What about you?”

 

“I haven’t eat anything all day. Would you mind having dinner with me? I hate eating alone.” 

 

“Since you help me close up, let me buy you dinner.” Yoona suggest and Yuri happily accept. “ So what would you like to eat Yuri-shi?”

 

“How about cup ramen?” Yuri never fail to surprise Yoona.

 

Yuri seems like the type of people who would dine in high end restaurant. Yoona thought that Yuri would eat in the cafeteria with her everyday because she was trying to win over her. Sooyoung has already warn her to never fall for Yuri. And Yoona always keep that in mind. She tried to see Yuri as a friend of her friend. 

 

But now she’s not so sure anymore.

 

“Are you sure that’s what you want?”

 

“Yeah. This kind of weather is perfect for cup ramen and makoli. Don’t you think?”

 

“Ok let’s go then.” 

 

The more she learn about Yuri, the more she become confused. She knows that Yuri is a player. But the Yuri she knows the past weeks seems pretty sincere and nice. Or did she do all that just to get Yoona’s name on her list? Yoona brush off all her thought when they reach the mart.

 

It’s quiet late, so there’s not much people inside. They bought the ramen and sit down next to each other while looking at the street outside.

 

“Oh! It’s raining.” Yoona exclaimed.

 

“Now that’s perfect.” Yuri chuckle making Yoona chuckle along with her.

 

They enjoy their ramen while looking at the rain outside. It somehow feel very peaceful and comfort being together like this. They both actually feel the same way.

 

“Yoona-shi!”

 

“Nae?”

 

“It’s quiet late, let me take you home.”

 

“Home? My home?”

 

“Nae. Why are you so surprise?”

 

“Aniya. I’ll just take the bus home.” 

 

“But It’s late.”

 

“I’ll be fine Yuri-shi. Thank you.”

 

“Let me walk you to the bus stop then.”

 

Yuri walk Yoona to the bus stop and wait there with her.

 

“Yoona-shi?”

 

“Nae?”

 

“Are you afraid of me?” Yuri asked making Yoona turn to look at her. When their eyes met, Yuri lean closer to take a better look at those innocent doe eyes staring at her.

 

Yoona tried to not look nervous, but the way Yuri look into her eyes make her gasping for air. 

 

“A-ani… yo…”

 

“Then come to my place tomorrow.”

 

“Wae yo?”

 

“Photoshoot.” Yuri smile and back away from Yoona. 

 

Yuri tried not to laugh when she notice Yoona relieve a big sigh when she move away from her. Yuri never really like to play the push and pull game, but with this girl in front of her, Yuri found herself doing stuff she thought she would never do.

 

“Oh my bus is here.” Yoona feel thankful that her bus came at the right time because she didn’t know how to reject Yuri’s request. “Good bye Yuri-shi!”

 

Yoona bow lightly and ran away leaving Yuri chuckle by herself. If Yoona thought that Yuri would just let her go like that then she’s absolutely wrong. Because Yuri just get on the bus and take a seat next to her at the back of the bus.

 

“Yuri-shi why are you here?”

 

“I can’t just let you go alone this late at night.”

 

“But I’m fine.”

 

“But I’m not.” 

 

Yoona can’t deny that Yuri’s smile is so pretty.

 

“Why are you doing this Yuri-shi?”

 

“Isn’t it obvious Yoona-shi?”

 

“Do you like me?”

 

“Dae.”

 

Yuri said making Yoona froze. She didn’t know what to respond, but Yuri didn’t need any respond from her. She wants Yoona, so she will make sure to have her.

The next day:

 

Yoona lay in bed while staring blankly at the ceiling. Yuri’s confession keep her up all night. Yuri told her she would pick her up today around 10am.

 

“Ahhhhh….. I should just reject her right away. What was I thinking?” Yoona scream against her pillow.

 

She look at the clock and it’s already 9am. Yoona scramble out of her bed and start getting ready.

 

“I’ll just reject her right away. Right! Im Yoona let’s not dragging this too far.” She told herself. 

 

The clock hit 10 am and Yoona look out the window and saw Yuri already waiting patiently for her outside.

 

“Wow! She’s really is on time. Ok! Let’s get it over with.”

 

Yoona get out of her house and was greeted by a warm smile from Yuri. Yoona was wearing light make up with an oversize white t-shirt and a bright blue denim, but to Yuri this is perfection.

 

“Good morning Yoona-shi!”

 

“Good morning Yuri-shi! Have you been waiting for a long time?”

 

“No. I’ve just arrived. Umm I don’t want to be stuck in traffic, so I took out my motorbike. I hope you don’t mind.”

 

“Oh umm it’s fine.”

 

“Here! Let’s put this on first.” Yuri said and help Yoona putting the helmet on. 

 

Yoona couldn’t help but falling for Yuri’s charm. She was suppose to come out and reject Yuri right away, but the moment she saw how cheerful Yuri is, she suddenly don’t want to disappoint and ruin her day, so she just go along with it.
