*knock knock*   Yuri knock on the door and go inside to find her father and his secretary waiting for her inside the conference room.   “Hello Appa!”   “Oh you’re here! Sit down.” Mr Kwon said and motion his secretary to leave them alone.    “Why are you suddenly visited Appa? Is something wrong with the company?”   “I’m here this time as your father Yuri.”   “Oh…” That’s all Yuri could muttered. I get it that you still wanna play, but it’s time to be serious now, don’t you think?”   “I am serious.” Yuri said seriously, but mr Kwon just chuckle in her face.   “Really? So you are telling me that you are willing to throw everything you are trying so hard to build just for that woman?”   “She’s not just any woman Appa. And I know you gonna kick me out for not listening to you. But you know what I’m really sure about?” Yuri pause and smile sincerely at her father. “She’s worth throwing everything for because there’s nothing I wish to have more than having her in my life and she has a name Appa, It’s Im Yoona. I’m not asking for your blessing and I don’t mind if you leave me out of your will, because I don’t want anything from you Appa, I just hope that you will leave us alone and let me be happy. That’s the least you could do as my father and also the only thing I have ever ask from you.”   “Let me ask you one more time Yuri, are you sure about this?” Mr Kwon still couldn’t believe that his daughter will throw everything just for love. He has known how much Yuri care about the company and how much she put her effort into studying just so she could impress her father, so it came as a big surprise for him to hear Yuri said all those words.   “Yes Appa! I’ve never been sure about anything else in my life. I’ve made my choice. I quit.”   “Fine! You know that once you walk out of that door, you will have everything taken away from you right?”   “I do.”   “Ok then Kwon Yuri, from now on you are free to do everything on your own accord, but remember that no matter what happen to you, the Kwon will no longer taking care of it for you.”   “Thank you for setting me free. I’ll get going now. I hope you will stay healthy appa! I’ll see you back home when I visit grandma.” Yuri bow respectfully to her father before walking confidently out of the room.   For once in her life time, she feel totally free. Is something good happen to the company?”   “I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing, but I quit the job and I am jobless now, but I promise you that I will find a job soon.”   “What? Wait What?” Yoona tried to process the information that Yuri just gave her and she still can’t believe what she just heard. ‘Kwon Yuri? Quit her job? What’s going on?’ Yoona asked herself.   “Come!” Yuri drag Yoona toward the couch and sit down. “Let me explain!”   “Ok.”   “My dad came. You know I work so hard because I want him to see my ability, but all he sees is how to make his business become bigger by using me. So now you are jobless and homeless.”   “Well I guess so. I’d love for you to move into my place if you don’t mind. I’m sure your place is a lot bigger and better, but you know…” Yoona trail off and Yuri hold onto her hands.   “Hey hey… what are you talking about? I’m so glad that you will let me stay with you baby, but can I start paying rent once I found a job?” Yuri asked cutely making Yoona laugh.   “Well, you can pay by other things.”   “Oh my god! Are you telling me to pay with my body?”   “What???? Noooo!!! I was talking about cooking and help me with the chore and stuff. Wow Yul, I didn’t know you are such a .”   “I am not.”   “You are so cute. Anyway, I’m going to fly back home tonight. There’s some change in my schedule and I have to be back before tomorrow night.”   “Ok. I’ll tell Hyomin to book me a ticket for the same flight.”   “You can still ask her to do that after you quit?”    “Oh damn! Right, hahahah… I need to start getting used to not having secretary from now on.” Yuri said and chuckle to herself.   “I’ll ask sunny unnie to book your ticket. Don’t worry about that.”   “Alright then, I will just go to my room and pack up, then we can have lunch together.”   “Ok.” Yoona watch Yuri leave her room.   She tried to hide her feeling in front of Yuri. She knows that this thing happen to Yuri because of her, she never doubt Yuri’s love, but part of her feel happy that they can finally be together and Yuri no longer need to hide her relationship with her family, but she also feel like she just crush her girlfriend’s dream to the ground. Whatever Yuri has builded just got crumble down in a second because of her. Yoona feels responsible for what happen, but she promise herself that she will take good care of Yuri.     *   SEOUL   A few months later:   Yuri came home feeling tired. She’s been out the whole day trying to talk to every connection she has to find the investor for her project.    Yes Yuri didn’t just quit her job like that without having plan. She has a plan. You’re home?” Yoona popped out of her bedroom and found Yuri in the kitchen looking more and more exhausted.   “Oh yeah. Umm I didn’t know you are home. I thought you’re still at the set.”   “The photoshoot ended early. How’s your day went?”   “Same as everyday. Rejection after rejection.”   “Why don’t you accept my proposal Yul?” Yoona was so frustrated to see Yuri like this and the worse thing is that she feels helpless because Yuri is so stubborn to accept any help from her.   “No Yoong! You have done enough for me for letting me stay here for free. I can’t do that.” Yuri’s pride is the only thing she could hold onto right now.   Yoona just sighed because she knows they would get into another fight if she push Yuri too hard. So she just let it go for today.   “Why don’t you go shower while I order dinner?” Yoona changed the topic and Yuri just nodded and does as she was told.   After showered, Yuri came out of their room and find Yoona laying food on the table.   “I got Chinese. I hope you don’t mind.”   “Anything is fine with me.” Yuri said and sit down in front of Yoona.   They start eating in silent. Yoona didn’t want to say anything because Yuri seems very sensitive and the last thing she want is to get into another fight with her girlfriend.   “I’m sorry!” Yuri muttered out of sudden.   “W-what? Why are you sorry Yul?”   “For being such a failure.”   “Aniya. Who told you that? I’m very proud of you for standing up to your father. You know maybe this is a very hard moment now, but I believe in you Yul. You will make it.”   “I don’t know anymore Yoong.”   “Umm how about we sell the house in Side Island? I know it might not be enough, but at least it would help you a little until you find the investor right?”   “How can you say that?” Yuri starts raising her voice and she immediately regret it. “I’m sorry! I’m not really hungry anymore.” Yuri said and go to their room.   Yoona just sighed heavily. She tried not to let her tear fall at Yuri’s outburst. What did she do wrong? She just wanted to help.   After a few minute, Yoona heard their bedroom door opened. She turn to find Yuri dressed up and ready to leave.   “Where are you going?”   “I need some air.” “But it’s late. Where would you go at this hour?”   “Please Yoona, not now.” Yuri left and now Yoona don’t think she could hold her tears anymore.   *   A few hours later:   Yoona didn’t go to sleep. She decide to wait for Yuri in the living room. She tried to stay awake, but her eyes betrayed her. Yoona had a long schedule today so she didn’t have time to rest until she came home. She was suppose to go straight to bed, but she still want to have proper dinner with Yuri, that’s why she wait for Yuri to come home and order dinner, but thing didn’t always goes as plan, is it?   Yuri tried to make no sound as she open the door of Yoona’s apartment. She walk inside the living room and turn on the light. She found Yoona sleeping on the couch and Yuri feels worse for making Yoona wait for her like that.   Yuri kneel down on the floor next to the couch and admire her girlfriend’s beauty with a sad smile on her face.   “I’m so sorry Yoong.” Yuri said and kiss Yoona’s forehead.   “Yul?” Yoona woke up when she feels Yuri’s kiss.   “I’m sorry, I woke you up.”   “What time is it?” Yoona sit up and rub her eyes sleepily.   “2am.”   “What? Where have you been the whole time Yul? It’s late and cold outside.” Yoona said and cup Yuri’s face. “Your face is so cold. You’re going to get sick.”   “I’m ok Yoong.” Yuri smile to reassure the doe eyes girl.   “Listen, I’m sorry for pushing too hard. I.. I was just trying to help. I hate seeing you stress out like this. I just wish that there’s something I could do to make you feel better.”   “I know baby. And I’m sorry for getting mad for no reason. I just want you to know that having you here next to me has giving me strength to go on.”   “Ok. I won’t ask you to accept my help, but can’t you at least talk to me? Tell me your worries.
