LISTEN TO THIS SONG WHILE READING <3

L.Joe tried to call her many times. He just would not give up. He wants to hear her voice, he wants to say sorry to her, tell her he loves her just so his tears might stop flowing and his heart might stop hurting.

Afterwards, Nana answered his call. He was glad when Nana finally pick up her phone.

"Nana-shi," he said with his tears falling, "Listen, I am sorry."

Nana only listened to him. She was still in the car with her father listening with her loud speaking cell phone.

"Can you give me another chance?"

No answer.

"I really love you, Nana-shi. I love you. I'm sorry for everything that I have done. I have killed so many people, including your brother and best friend. I know this is big sin, that I shouldn't be forgiven but here I am asking for your forgiveness but I'm not asking you to respond in anyway. I just want you to listen.

I sincerely apologize for everything. I grew up to be this kind of person, yet you changed me to someone I am now and I thank you for that. I know that this is not an excuse for the things I did to them and to you. I know that it's hard for you to trust me again and forgiving me will be hard. But I will do everything to have you back, please don't leave.

You're the first and only person that I love like this. I cannot afford to lose you. Please, let's fix this. Let me pay you for everything. If you want me to die in front of you, then I will do it. I will do anything, Jang Nana, because I love you."

A flood of tears gushed down her cheeks as she listened to him. She tried not to whimper so he would not notice. She just kept quiet because that was what her father wanted her to do. But deep inside, she wants to talk to him too... Even though he killed her brother and best friend... She could not avoid falling for him.

Pain welled up in L.Joe, he wept silently and cleared his throat.

"Please..." He repeated. "You can't go away from me, you can't leave me now. Let me see you."

And then she couldn't take it anymore. Speak, that's what is on her mind.

"Lee Byunghun, I'm leaving for the States tomorrow, " She said, trying to say it firmly without breaking her voice.

"Don't follow me, okay?" She said but only on her mind so L.Joe didn't hear it.

When she thought of that, she meant the opposite. Follow me. That's what she wanted but she couldn't really say it.

"Forget about me," she mumbled and turned off her phone so that she won’t receive any calls anymore, especially from him.

The following day, it was time for Nana to leave. She made a deal with her father, Jang Sooman that she will leave and forget everything. That she has to move on. She agreed. She carried all her stuffs that her mother helped her to pack last night.

Before leaving for States, she kissed her mother and father goodbye.

"Are you sure you will go alone?" Seyoung asked her.

"I'll be fine, omma. I can go alone, I am old enough now."

"Aigoo. Old enough? You're only 16. Just make sure you study well in States okay?"

"Okay."

"Wait," Sooman approached Nana. "I'll bring you there."

"Oh," Nana giggled, "Okay. Let's go, Appa."

~While inside Sooman's car~

They were not talking to each other when they reached the car, not even when Sooman started the engine. The atmosphere between them is too silent. Nana wanted to talk to her father, wondering what his plans are but she wanted him to talk to her first.

He didn't.

Shortly, they arrived in the airport and that's when Sooman finally talked to her.

"Will you be okay here?" He asked.

She nodded and kissed her father's cheek, after that she opened the car door but she stopped when her phone rang.

Chunji's name was written on the caller's name.

"It's Chunji," she told Sooman and quickly answered the phone. "What is it Chunji-yah?"

"Something happened to your mother!" Chunji said hurriedly, unable to control his temper due to the emotion he was holding back.

"What?!"

Nana went back to the car and told Sooman about her mother. They hurried back and went directly to the hospital but when they arrived, it was already too late. Her mother's dead, Seyoung's dead. She was shot on her head, by someone no one saw.

Sooman and Nana burst into tears. Their eyes began to burn with oncoming tears.

"What happened to her?" Nana asked solemnly.

"Someone murdered her while she was in the Kitchen... I really didn't saw what happened, but I guess... That's what happened." Chunji said, trembling.

~At Taesuk's office~

L.Joe rushed inside after hearing the news about Nana's mother.

Taesuk was sitting as usual with his office table in front of him, he was emotionless but deep inside he looked really impressed to himself that he killed Sooman's wife. L.Joe walked towards him and punched the table in front of him with his right hand. His eyes were burning with anger.

"What did you do this time Appa? Why do you keep killing innocent lives?!!" He asked angrily.

"Innocent lives?" Taesuk chuckled, "Jang Seyoung is not innocent."

"Appa! Stop it!"

"Leave." Taesuk said in a husky voice. He called someone behind L.Joe, giving him a sign to take him away. "Get him out of my sight," he ordered.

The man who was behind L.Joe held a grip of his arm, L.Joe turned around to see who that man is and he was surprised.

"Niel? What are you doing here?" He asked.

"You need to leave, L.Joe." Niel said firmly.

Great. Now everything's more complicated with Niel back to work for Taesuk.

L.Joe was supposed to be beaten up according to Taesuk's order, but Niel let him go. So L.Joe did.

He needed to see Nana anyway ,he needed to make sure she's fine. But he couldn't even find a way to get inside the hospital. She might be really sad and angry right now, he thought, it's better if I don't show myself.

But I really want to see her. I want to hug her. Comfort her. Hold her hand, and let her cry on my shoulder. But how could father kill her mother? I'm sure she knows father did. So, she's probably very mad now. She will really hate me now ,till the end.

The next day, it was her mother's funeral. Everyone who went to Jang Seyoung's funeral sobbed. Chunji was there to comfort Nana. He was always there for her, when she needs her. When L.Joe got shot, he helped him and called a doctor because Nana asked him to. He wants her happiness and he gives them to her, even if he's hurting.

L.Joe also came to visit. Although his wound still hurts, he had to come to watch. Seeing Nana so sad and crying made him cry too, because she lost someone important again but he couldn't do anything about it. He's weak for her, a weak murderer, weak lover... Weak person.

He turned his back after watching for a long time. He took a few steps forward before someone with a husky voice stopped him.

"You... You killed my wife!!!" Sooman screamed at him, he had a gun on his hand facing it behind L.Joe. "You murderer!"

Even though, he didn't look back. He knew it was Nana's father.

I'll just die here, by her father's hand. He thought, breath heavily and closed his eyes.

Everyone was watching, they all stood in shock. L.Joe didn't move an inch, he just stood there. Ready to die.

"Appa, don't do it." Nana whimpered.

She's whimpering for him.

"He needs to die because he's the one who killed your mother!!!"

"Appa! No!!!" She ran towards L.Joe, outstretched her arms and faced her father. She thought she could stop him, but he already pulled the trigger.

L.Joe just stood there. He heard the gun shot, he wasn't shot but everyone's murmuring that someone got shot.

Why is it that I don't feel anything? He thought.

"NANA-SHI!" Chunji screamed her name.

Nana. She's the one who got shot. L.Joe turned around and stood there in shock, he couldn't believe what he saw. Nana's bloody body. Her chest covered with blood.

The paramedics came on time, they carried Nana's body on the stretcher and brought her to the hospital. Niel was there to help L.Joe escape, he was stunned because what happened, he didn't even know that Niel was forcing him to leave. The only image on his mind is Nana's bloody body, and she could die. She's only a girl. She could really die.

"I need to check if she's okay," L.Joe whispered.

"They'll arrest you!" Niel demanded. "You cannot show your face to them again, the cops are looking for you! You could go to jail!"

"I need to see her!" L.Joe screamed. "I need to see her! Let me go!"

Why did you save me? Didn't you say you hate me? You should have let me die... Then I could stop thinking about you. But why... Why does this have to happen to you?

Niel brought L.Joe near the hospital. L.Joe had promise that he'll come back within 10 minutes without getting caught.

Unfortunately, when L.Joe went out of the car, Chunji grabbed him by the arm.

"Why did you come here?" He asked.

"Chunji-yah... I came to check if she's okay."

"Don't come in."

"You can't stop me," L.Joe said in a husky voice.

"She... She told me to tell you, to run." Chunji said and looked away, "Just run and don't get caught. She promised she'll be okay. That's what she said before she was taken to the ER."

"She needs me."

"That's why she wants you to leave. Don't you understand that?" Chunji glared at L.Joe. "If you come in there, you might get arrested. So just.---just leave. This is what she wants anyway."

L.Joe just stared at him, speechless.

"I'll call you later," Chunji added and let go of  him.

"Don't come in," Chunji reminded before going back to the hospital.
