"If you can't manage to stay away from him we'll have to send you away." My dad said angrily.

From the moment we got into the car its been a nonstop arguement. Dad was yelling telling me to stay away from Young Do and I refused. Then he started to thretean to ruin Young Do if I didn't. He was shocked when I declared I would go public with his underhanded tactics against him if he did. After that he refused to talk to me. The rest of the ride home was spent in tense silence. My phone was confiscated the moment we had gotten home and I just escaped to my room. I was so mad. They had to come and ruin everything.

Everything was so perfect.

Except for that moment at the table when I had indirectly told Young Do I loved him.

He had tensed up and got quiet. It was pretty akward after that. I didn't have a chance to talk to him and ask him what we were to each other after sharing those kisses.

But no.

My parents had to arrive and ruin everything. I stayed in my room for hours refusing to come out. It was starting to get dark outside and I was getting hungry but I didn't want to venture out. Not even for food. I hadn't want to see them. But here they were nonetheless.

Now Mom and Dad were standing in my room telling me they would outcast me. I snorted.

"Where? Where could you possibly send me to? I'll be an adult soon." I reminded them.

They couldn't control me forever.

Dad threw some papers down on my bed in front of me. I picked them up. One was a pamphlet for an exclusive all girls boarding school in America. The other was a plane ticket leaving tomorrow for Massachusetts. They couldn't be serious. They couldn't really be going to do this to me over who I decided to love. I felt my eyes well up with tears. "You can't do this to me. You can't force me to go. Im not going." I insisted.

"Yes we can. You're not an adult yet." My dad said determinedly.

I sniffled. "Mom."

She turned away from me without saying anything. In that moment I felt completely trapped and helpless, feelings id never experienced at home. I couldn't believe they were treating me like this.

Without a second thought I hopped up out of my bed and ran froom the room.

"Ha Yeon!" I could hear them both calling out my name.

I had to be quick.

I knew I didn't have time.

Soon they would have the guards stop me. I rushed out the front door not even bothering to stop for shoes. My socked feet slapped loudly against the asphalt with the force of my desperate flight. I had to get away. I couldn't let them force me to leave him.

I made it to the main road and ran and ran. I couldn't think about stopping or looking behind me. I felt like I couldn't catch my breath gasping. People on the streets were looking at me like I was insane which I did of course look insane.
