Soo Ha Yeon
I kept glancing around expecting to see Choi Young Do as I lay in the hospital bed. He should be here. He was the one who found me, saved me; I wanted no needed him here with me. But I hadn't seen him since leaving Kwok Min's house.
I sat up and was about to get off the bed and leave the room when the door opened. I looked up and locked eyes with my dad, immediately tears started to pour down. "Daddy." I cried out as I jumped to the floor and ran over to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and held on. "Are you ok?" I heard him ask through his own tears. Not able to speak I just nodded my head. I could feel my mom encircling me from behind and sobbing into my hair. "My baby girl I'm so happy your OK." She was saying. Dad pulled away and looked me over. "That boy is lucky he's already dead." He said as he caressed my face. Mom my hair. "I'm ready to go home." I told them.
I was tired of being at the hospital the whole time at Kwok Min's house all I could think of was returning home and being able to sleep in my own bed. "Can we go now?" I asked.
"Yeah baby we can." Mom clutched my hand in hers and I leaned my head on her shoulder as we walked out of the room.
One of the detectives who had brought me to the hospital stepped up to us. "I have to worn you there are a lot of reporters outside. Somehow it was leaked that your daughter was found." He said addressing my father. "We've arranged for a police to see you home."
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I didn't want to face any reporters. I needed to just make to my house where I could decompress and heal from all that had occurred. Now here was another obstacle in my way. "Are you OK to do this?" Mom asked me.
"Yes. Let's just go. I'm ready to go."
Mom nodded and along with dad and the detective we headed to the entrance of the hospital. As soon as we exited flashbulbs were going off in my face and I looked down shielding my eyes.
"Ha Yeon shii who took you?"
"What happened to your arm?"
The reporters shouted out question after question as we pushed out way through the crowd and got into the car. We all hustled into the back and the driver pulled off. Finally I was able to breath easy. Mom and dad both held one of my hands in theirs and I felt, safe. Like a little girl who needed her parents to protect her from the monster in the closet.
Dads phone rang and he picked it up. "Yes we are on our way home right now. No I don't think that's a good idea. Give us a day at least." He said before hanging up.
"Who was that?" Mom asked him.
"The publicist." He said simply.
His publicist. They must want to get a story set for what they would tell the public. "Do you know what happened?" I asked them. I wasn't sure if they had spoken with the police already. If they knew Kwok Min and Han Byul were the ones to take me and why. I wasn't even sure of the reason why myself. I just knew that if was about Choi Young Do. He was trying to get to Young Do by using me.
"Yeah we spoke with them. They told us everything they knew. I want some time to get you at home and settled before we worry about how we will explain this whole situation." Dad said.
I nodded. I really just wanted to go to sleep. I laid my head back against the seat and began to doze. The next thing I knew dad was carrying me to my bed. "Its OK hunny. Go back to sleep." He laid me down and that's exactly what I did.
I awoke what I assume was a few hours later. It was dark outside. I could see the stars and moon through my window. I got out of bed and rummaged around in my closet. I wanted to take a shower.
In the bathroom I looked at myself in the mirror. At the bruises discolouring my face. The white cast encircling my wrist. I had never been injured like this in my life. Never had I imagined that I would go through something like this.
I took a quick shower and pulled my hair up into a bun on top of my head. Sleep ,check. Shower, check. Now there was only one more thing I was anxious to do. Ea
